how much are invitationals gonna affect rankings? Always thought they felt weird counting cuz a lot of them this season have excluded acola and sonix (miya also in the throne) It just feels like the organizers can rig rankings by always inviting the same players and excluding others
Invitationals generally are worth as much a a regular major aka an A/A+ tier event but It depends on who's invited of course. There are some like Cascadia clash which is only a B tier event while also being an invitational. As for concerns about rankings, invitationals while good don't matter too much simply due to how many majors we get every season which for this season is 15 including supermajors and only 3 of those were invitationals and none them were supermajors. Its very hard for a invitational to become a a supermajor just due to the fact that only 16 players are invited for the most part. It'd have to be like every top 10 ranked player in the season in one invitational for it to become a supermajor. This is not even including premier tournaments which are often worth more than double compared to most majors so there's plenty of wiggle room to make up for not being invited to a major invitational. For context the smallest premier tournament; Riptide was worth 9698 points while the biggest major; Sumpabato SP 52 was worth 4907. Supernova alone was worth 14041 points which is basically 3 majors in one.
Ngl, luis was playing kinda bad vs shadic. Like he didn't have any motivation vs Shadic ( lui$ said that on Twitter) Also proofblock where is don't park the grass recap for ult
Pretty much. Best case scenario for Miya would of been to have beaten Sparg0 in Grands or even Light to secure the H2H record for this season, but another B+ win with Sparg0 still in top 4 isn't enough to make a difference really.
There are 2 majors left this season and miya isnt attending them, spargos last job is just not getting last at coinbox irl 2
sparg0 apparently dqed from it lol
Sparg0's said he's not going because he's drained from attending so many events recently.
@@Sancnea which makes it not a major anymore aswell. Poor sonix lmao
Bag secured
@@daimajin266 Would whatever replacement they're planning to use not be enough to call it a major? Or is the #1 player necessary for this?
