I am about to buy my first Tier1 Appendix Holster and I was confused about the wedge choices. The website doesn’t explain them and I hadn’t seen a video on it. A huge thanks to you!!!! I really appreciate at it. I was about to pick large because like you said it should be more padding. You saved me some money, time and aggravation from selecting the wrong one!!!!!! Thx 🙏🏼
This is completely off-topic, I’m missing the same tooth and I wish I had the confidence to be on UA-cam. Makes me feel a bit more comfortable about myself. Thanks homie.
That's good I personally have another model without the wedge depends on what I'm wearing really as far as pants. I went a few days with out one at first on the first one I purchased then I put the medium standard wedge on. I do like it quite a bit without it however. Love hate relationship honestly.
Great video and info on the wedge system. I agree totally that Tier 1 holsters are the bomb but they do come with a explosive price as well. Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Thanks lol yeah these wedges don't come off in a friendly manner. A razor blade is much more forgiving than parts cleaner though. My biggest thing was I didn't want to hit it with an adhesive buster that caused a bad reaction within the kydex.
Waiting on my Axis Elite to come in the mail. Not sure what the waiting time is these days. Bought a CrossBreed super tuck couple months ago just to find out I don't like carrying on 5 o'clock. Been using el cheapo appendix holster for the time being.
I am actually the guitar player lol. My drummer just has his drums in my living room. Our random drunken music can be found on the page I am commenting with currently.
I know this is an old video but next time just put Velcro/hook n loop on the holster and the wedge. I like the loop on the holster side a mnd hook on the wedges just in case I don't use a wedge and it's not sharp
The wedges assist in comfort, they're foam padded and push against your pelvis region instead of the kydex pushing against you. I would order a wedge pack with your purchase and try it for a few days without the wedge and if you like it use it that way. I did for a few days and realized it was uncomfortable, put my standard medium wedge on and I've been satisfied ever since.
Great vid I have a Vedder Light Tuck IWB holster for my Sig P365XL, and I bought the wedge pack from Tier 1 for it that came with four of them. I did not want to use their wedges with the adhesive and have them stuck to the holster, so I used this sticky back Velcro. It is hook on one strip, and loop on the other. You just stick one strip to the Kydex back, and the other one to the wedge and you pull away the tape off of the wedge. Works great, and I can change wedges on the fly. I even have another holster setup with the one Velcro strip. I have an Agis Elite on order, so I will be putting the Velcro strip on it too. This will save many from a major headache of trying to remove a wedge from their holster. @@bluecollargunguy7274 I was torn between the tlr1 or the tlr7a but seeing how far your holster sticks out I’m afraid it will jab into my leg or balls lol so I’ll stick with tlr7
@@Aa-ron22 I am so used to it I can wear it comfortably even on my 17. Next one will probably be a Gen 5 22 and I'll also get a TLR 1 for it and carry appendix. Once broke in these holsters are epic. I do plan on removing my wedges at some point as I'm not much caring for the way they feel as the weather warms up.
not sure how i ended up here but glad I did. contemplating a t1c. nice seeing a normal guy with an honest review. good video. thx

I have since removed my wedges from my holsters, was too much pressure on the inner thigh and pelvis.

All the gear and tools in the world are great but training is key!
I mounted my wedge to some Velcro so I can move it around until I find the right spot and so I can move it from holster to holster
That's a good idea, you should do a video on how you did your process. Could be very useful and versatile. Mine are glued for good now.
I did this same thing. using Velcro. works great. I custom made a wedge and move it around. it's a work in progress.
Nice video. T1C are great holsters. I used velcro to attach the wedge. I know I'm nobody, but I do have some videos where I talk about the wedges. 🤣

Use Velcro strips, that way you can change them out easier. 👍🏾
Great video man! I am about to buy my first tier 1 holster and your video was a huge help.
Thanks man I hope I can assist many people in making a decision. Next Tier 1 video will be on sweat guard height.
Definitely grab a glock 20!! Pair it up with a Kenai chest holster for woods carry

A veteran of the great Wedge War of ‘22 😂. All jokes aside, this was super helpful, thank you.

You won't be disappointed. My last wait time was about 30 business days a few months back so hard telling. Patience pays off with these though.
Like 2-3 weeks
Great video, thanks man
Awesome review, been wondering about those wedges.Grabbing a T1C next paycheck so I'm glad for the advice (and a fellow drummer too!).

Great video bro
If you’re wanting a good outside the waistband holster for the woods, get a Safari land with a leg strap!
I wonder if it would be better to apply Velcro to the wedge and the holster 🤷🏼♂️
Wondering if the Goo-gone or Goof-off products would have worked in removing those adhesives?

Tier one concealed explained this on their channel 😀.

What does the wedge actually do? I was about to order a toer one but couldn't find info about the wedges and the difference and what they actually do

Assists in comfort yes but also helps push the gun into your abdomen for less imprinting.

I'm not a fan of the wedges. Not one iota. Very painful on my pelvic bone. Great holsters though
I agree I thought it would help however it caused me discomfort lol
Alcohol will easily remove that adhesive
