*correction. Max left after Hans tried to give bread to a Jew, for the fear that the Gestapo would investigate Hans.
Correct
It’s actually sad that many people in the comment said that this video saved their summer and not realizing that they’re missing out one of the greatest book i ever read

DannySooLive same
ruben g one of the best books I've ever read
Haha meee
For me personally, this story is about love and how it manifests over time and connections. How inseparable and unending it is, even after death. And how even though people may not be blood related, they are still family. Honestly, this is one of my favorite books of all time, up there with The Giver.
both books i had to read for school

The purpose of books change throughout this story. In the beginning, books are about knowledge and a means to enter the world through reading (since she can't read). Books later become a bonding tool between the girl and the mayor's wife. Then, books become the tool for revenge as the girl is mad at the mayor's wife. And at the end, books become a means of escape (writing in her book literally saves her life).
Moral of the story: *WE ALL GONNA DIIIEEEE*
That last sentence had me like :0
Books can also be more human-like, as in all humans are like books that can be opened, left untouched, stolen, or destroyed. In essence, Death is the Book Thief in this scenario and does whatever it wants, as we are the books.
Oh My God, that's the best thing I've ever heard....You're so Good
To everyone talking about you saving their lives with their book reports:
If you like reading at all you will love this book. It's amazing. Also lucky you I have really boring books at school if I had this one I'd be ecstatic lol. This one's really something else so when you find the time try to read it ❤️
I read the book and at first I became confused then later it started to make sense.. Your summary was the best one I found since it explains so much in such a little report. I'm definitely going to subscribe!
extra bits of information in case you are wondering:
- why did Hans Hubermann start playing the accordian?
-> During world war I, his war friend that saved his life and who we later find out is Max's father, taught him to play the accordian.
- the ending
-> Liesel is the only survivor as all of the people, including the Hubermann's and Rudy are killed when the town gets bombed one night. Then, she is raised by the mayor and his wife and grows up to have a family of her own in the end.
- death as the narrator of the story
-> is what defines the characters of the book and readers are introduced to them through series of events that involve death and suffering.
-> personification of death raises the message to all from an omnipresent perspective, that all of us must face death and we are all on its schedule.
also reminds readers about how we should choose kindness over cruelty in all times :)
THANK YOU!!! my book reports due tommarow and i didnt start the book

This is going to help me so much with my summer assignment! Thx!
My absolute favorite book! Excellent job.
My crush recommend this book and I haven’t bothered picking it up once over break and school starts again tomorrow, thank you.
i absolutely loved this book. it made me cry so uncontrollably. just watching this video brings tears to my eyes
This got me started on a summer reading project. Thanks a lot man🙏🙏🙏
You are the hero of all kids that forgot to read this book for school!
Yeah, Really good summary. And drawings.
Thank you so much for this, i read the book a while back, but i dont really remember it. Going to buy the book soon and read it again. I love how you summarise these books in little characters :D Thanks again so much!!!!!!!!!! earning a sub and a like!!! :)
Finally, thank you. I hate summer reading books so thank you for this
Oof he says Lisa at 3:10 it shooked me
This was so helpful thank you!!!!
Thanks. I definitely found it interesting. I'll probably talk about it more in the future.
I would've been reading this for a straight WEEK if it wasn't for you. Now I can enjoy my summer :)
This book was amazing. My favorite thus far. But the death of all of Leisel's friends was a little too abrupt for me. It didn't have much emotion.
I believe it is because it is told from death's pov and not of Liesel's. This is just a daily occurrence for him unlike being the "End of the world" for Liesel.
@@lily_thecongo9695 when death talks about rudy when he dies tho. I literally shattered
Well surprise night time bombs are pretty abrupt tbf
thats the reality of wars.
I read it a few months ago and I thought the same. Now we had a school assignment to write a report about a book and I chose to reread this one.
Just to tell you, I am crying soo hard right now, as I finished reading the book a few minutes ago.
I think that is because when I started reading, I already knew that everyone would be dead, so I noticed every small action they had, and the relationship Liseil had with them, so when I reached the end, I could understand exactly how Lieseil felt at that moment and It was heartbreaking.
I really recommend rereading this!
And I think this was the perfect choice for my assignment, just that it is a little too long ( about 600 pages )
Damn it. I should have finished the book first 😂
Fiona Macke that’s what I said 💀
I was shook when they said they all died
Thanks for helping for my holiday home work
Best Summary ive ever seen
you helped me out sm thank u!!
thxsm!!!! i already read it but it makes no sense to me and it was almost a year ago i have to read it for my freshman honors class summer reading. i have to take a quiz on it during the first week of school which is bs! so thanks it makes more sense now and i can remember it a little more!!
I have an essay on this tomorrow. Thank you so much
i know my attention span and it knows me, i can't finish the book for the life of me and i'm doing it this year for school so thank you so much for the explanation 😭
Your honesty the best person known to man
This is one of my all time favorite books. I think that the way it is written is superior to almost every other book I've ever read.
I really like your videos!
Hugs from Sweden! :)
nice video! im studying this for a level english and was wondering is there any key differences between the book and the film interpretation? not just plot but are any aspects more focused on?
U just saved my life
Thank you so much
OMG THANK YOU EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS LIKE YEARS AGO!
Now i dont have to read 500 pages in 1 day for a test! Thank u So much!!!
You dropped this 👑
Do you have any thoughts on deaths last line in the story about how he is haunted by humans
Love this book with all my heart.
I really enjoyed it too. Didn't know what to expect when I first read it. Haven't seen the movie either.
+Minute Book Reports You have to see the movie. It's a really good adaptation. I also have the movie on Blu-ray. And by the way all your videos are so wonderful.
Vivi Crespo hahah thanks so much don't gotta read it now
literally just saved my project on this. Im not wasting my break reading when this exists XD
brenweavis you saukerl
What is the role of "stealing" in the history of the book?
I mean, the book is called "The Book Thief". So, is there any consequences of this action on the characters or maybe it is an symbology about the power of death, which can take anyone at any time without warning?
Well see comment from 7 years ago I thought it was because of her nature to learn to read and write and also the narrator as they tell someone’s story
Dude I totally forgot, I read this book in 8th grade. Great read. Had to check it out because I saw the movie on Disney plus and thought I knew that from somewhere. That was 5 years ago.
Thx this really helped again thanks
You have some real talent keep her gon
Thanks.
I have a timed writting tomorrow about this book, thank you 😂
If you were to make an activity to connect the class room to the book or the theme of the book what would you do?
Thank you so much! The book wasn’t even boring but it’s way too long for my taste
My book report is due in 2 days thank you
Oh my god this saved my butt so much
I was supposed to read this for spring break but I forgot so yea I’ll use this instead
That's such a good analogy, since we live and create our own histories. We may live and learn the experiences of our parents and even our grandparents. But it's kinda hard to know the life of ours great-grandfathers, since the distant connection makes their memories fade away. Thanks minutedrlog! (sorry about my english)
Mans just saved my entire freshman grade
You saved my English grade
you saved me man thanks alot
thank you lmao i didnt know i had summer reading on this XD
B U N N I same
lmao thank you i have a midterm on this tomorrow and havent started the book
This is my favorite book
My teacher: see this movie
Me: going on UA-cam and seeing this video
Man thanks, i was not using the rest of my summer to read a book that i can watch a resume
Nah it literally only takes like one or two weeks if you just spend like 45 minutes each day reading and it’s so good
This book was SO good
i literally tried reading this and couldn’t understand anything cuz i kept getting distracted 😭 thanks man
Doing something one this for school like 8 years later
ROSA WAS SMILING omg
Thank you so fucking much! Holy shit, I was having a panic attack cuz I didn't even read the god damn book >~
+Music Freak06 It's a pretty long book. Hope you one day get a chance to read it when you have more time.
+Minute Book Reports ha, as if Cx I don't like to read
+Music Freak06 L
It's really good. The beginning is just slow.
TYSM
i’m on page 97 and it’s due next week so here we areeee
so like I gotta read the book but I just watched this instead AHAH but I got a question, to anyone who has read the book. does this cover it fully?
This book made me cry so hard
+DaBoogie Munsta (Boogie's shadow) it's not real...
97GoldDust And frosty the snowman was?
DaBoogie Munsta no...lol
Is the book, book thief and movie book thief almost the same, what’s the difference?? Thanks to anyone who replies! Can I just watch the movie for my summer reading book assignment?
Tbh there's a lot of difference first, the book offers a unique writing style and of course more info.. Some scenes like the blank book was given to liesel by different characters. Deaths introduction is significant yet, unable to be executed in the films
Ilsa Hermann gives her a dictionary not a blank book, Max makes her a blank book by painting over the pages of his book, Mein Kampf
can you tell me really quickly what page she had to write a book
i needed this 💓 failing english ?? NK WAY ⭕️❌🚫
you just save me I have test tomorrow ahahh
yeah. It is a minute book report
God loves you
Full circle ending baabbbyyy😂
The blank book was given to Liesel by max not the mayors wife
+HBurks10 If you're referring to the movie then you're right. But based on the story line and the sketches that Minute Book Reports showed it was based on the actual book that Markus Zusak wrote.
+Marco Moran Thanks. I try to make these videos based on the books, not the films.
I have this book, and i have read it ounly 2 times. But i love it so mutch
shoutout to my fellow procrastinators
❤❤
Wow
it is a PIANO accordion
3:20
The amount of death he said lol
Who else is here because they didn’t feel like reading the book for Summer HW?
I didn't finish the ending of the book after watching this.
Hum, i guess i smoke something to write that comment.
But thanks! I really appreciate it.
You just saved my ass bud thx lol
It seems everyone is here for a report but I just reread it and wanted to get a review from another point of view.
lol my paragraph is due tom and i didn't start the book thanks
thank you for this!!
p.s.i am watching this to prepare for my upcoming oral presentation (impromptu, yikes!!) after the summer holiday... which means it's two days later
I fucking love you so much right now
جميله جدا رواية سارقة الكتب
So this is about the book right? Not the movie?
Yep
