I was one of the first people in America to ever see 'That Girl'. My father worked for the ABC-TV network, and one evening he brought home the 'pilot' episode of it. No Blu-Ray or DVDs in those days (1966); we watched it on projector. My older brother was there at the time, along with my older sister and family. Years later, my brother, among other things, wrote a song for a movie in which Brooke Shields appears; my older sister married an Irish Catholic man. My ex-girlfriend, Margo. I fell hard for her the first time I saw her. That was about a year before Marlo met Phil.
Wise, intelligent, articulate, strong, and still stunning. Wow.

Insightful informative good interview. But the part about her saying she wasn't Nude in Pretty Baby,is an outright lie!She did pose completely nude in that movie,for several scenes.Albeit very brief.Too brief for my tastes.I love that she bared all for that movie,it was a beautiful thing to behold. It is only considered a controversial movie because she was only 11-12 when she was in Pretty Baby.It should be appreciated, and held in high regard for what it is.An amazing love story.

Great interview.But when she talks about Pretty baby,she said she had a body double for the Nude Scenes.That is Incorrect,she was definitely Naked for a few brief scenes.At Age 12.It was Positively Brooke in those scenes,All of her.So She has nothing to be ashamed of.So Grateful to have gotten to see her in this Way.She was a beautiful little girl.
