    RG3 came into the league and played better as a pro than Andrew Luck the first year. He even won ROY. But Luck was the better pro. Everyone is in such a hurry to make a judgement on everything lol... Caleb will be just fine. That offensive line is a joke tho, but always has been.

      @Joes35 День тому +12

      Rg3 was not more pro ready. He had Kyle Shanahan and they implemented the read option offense that was killing the nfl that year. It was a a college offense Kyle put in that year for RG3. Completely wrong

      It’s literally the exact same situation. Luck and Caleb had everything dumped on them, while RG3 and JD were given very simple game plans to execute. No disrespect to either of those guys, it just is what it is.

  • @kelsowilz2522

    Over the years of watching football how good the team most of the time starts from the top. The ownership and ultimately how much you're willing to spend on the best GMs, the best coaches and the best staff. That trickles down into the outworking and success of the team. For example the Chicago Bears had the option of hiring Harbaugh but they don't want to spend 20 million a year on a head coach. Teams that are much more rich like the Broncos or the Commanders obviously went and got their coach and paid them. The system that Daniels is playing in is superior to what Williams is playing in. do we think that Williams would be in a better situation if he was in being coached by Harbaugh or Coach Kingsbury?Definitely! So these factors need to be taken into consideration bcause again it starts from the top. I mean look what Harbaugh did in the first round He drafted the tackle Alt. That's his thinking. This was not a no-brainer for management in Chicago. They could have traded the 9th pick and got Brian Thomas Jr later and the next best offensive lineman. Allen and Swift may have been bad pickups and they could have instead bolstered the offensive line. So making a comparison to Daniels and Williams I get it but we can't just go off their their talents coming into the league. There's other big factors to taking consideration with the success of rookies.

  • @Dubberzz
    @Dubberzz 17 годин тому

    I think one big thing that gets overlooked in the comparisons is Bo Nix came into the league at 24 with 61 college games under his belt.
    Daniels came in at 23 with with 55 games under his belt.
    Williams came in at 22 with 37 games under his belt.
    I don't think anyone is going to argue that having 18 or 24 extra college games is going to have a prospect better preparred for hitting the NFL. Even if they aren't at the same talent level.

    Caleb is going to the sure things wide open guys on check downs. And that’s what moves the chains and shows discipline and professionalism. Small steps lead to big steps. I like what I saw. And the defense getting consistent pressure on the opposing QB is huge and fun to watch. O line needs to step up talent is sub par but I’ve seen worse but the penalties if you don’t have the mental discipline you shouldn’t be playing in this league.That stuff is basic. Has to get improved significantly.

    I wouldn’t trade Williams for Daniels. Not even if you threw in Washington’s 2025 first round pick. I think Daniels has looked really good so far, but he has played some pretty bad defenses other than Tampa Bay and he is running an offense that is extremely similar to what he ran in college. His O-line has been one of the best in the league through 4 weeks as well. I didn’t see that coming, but maybe part of that is the lower end defenses they have faced. I’m interested in seeing how they do vs. Baltimore in a couple weeks.

Having some concepts from college isn’t the same as running a college offense. The Texans did some of the same things. If you think Daniel’s doesn’t know how to read defenses you definitely don’t watch his games. If he’s running a simple college offense then why is he even having success against NFL defenses?

      Caleb's floor is 12 to 15 range, IMO. The only real question is how much higher will he be able to reach, if he does. I claim zero expertise but my gut tells me he'll climb to top 5 to 10 range eventually. Any higher than that then I would be ecstatic.

    Are people on TV just insane. Caleb Williams in his fourth professional game and he is commanding the offense like he's been doing it for a decade. we didn't see that with Mitchell Trubisky or Justin Fields come to think of it. We didn't see it from Patrick Mahomes Jordan love and many others their first year. In fact, I haven't seen anyone command huddle like that since maybe Peyton Manning and not on his first year. And he's trying to do that without being a "running" quarterback. Which mark my words is ultimately gonna shorten Jaden Daniels career just like it's shortens every running quarterbacks career.

      I disagree, he did his job. He kept the chains moving and didn't turn the ball over. That's exactly what you want to see from a rookie. People expect too much from rookie qb's. You guys are critiquing rookies like they are five-year vets. The few that have hit the ground running are exceptions to the rule. Most rookie qb's will struggle, Peyton Manning threw 28 picks his rookie year. Josh Allen struggled a lot. Pat Mahomes did not play his rookie season, nor Aaron Rodgers. I hope Caleb will eventually develop into a very good qb, but I can't evaluate if he will be good or bad after only 4 games. Much respect to you.

      Does overplaying means the Bears played too hard? Whether they thought they were not as good as the Rams or not, they still have to go out and play the game. That's a bad reflection on Rams, not the Bears. Are Bears an 8-9 team at best, possibly. But I'm sure the expectations for the Bears team this year were not Super Bowl are bust, or at least I hope so. Much respect to you.
