I think both are exciting for different reasons! Team games in blizzard style RTS have always had some glaring issues, and they're trying to solve those with mayhem
It’s pretty bleak yea, it has grown on me I’d like to see them turn it around but stripping out the macro and shoving it down a moba lane makes me worry that they have some writing on a wall somewhere and are desperate.
Obviously I don't know what SG's official 3v3 mode is like, but I think a simpler approach like this basic 2v2 here is better than a dumbed down, MOBA-esque gamemode their news is suggesting. The problem with team game meta being all about debilitating one player ASAP sounds solvable without completely reinventing the wheel.
They've been planning on making team mayhem a very different game mode for years at this point. For frost giant, it's an opportunity for them to really differentiate from other rts games with a different game mode and they've said they might add a traditional 3v3 mode at some point later on
@laureloneiros1500 3v3 is such a hard game mode to watch most of the time as well for most RTS and with how many units are on screen even in these 2v2s is hectic and I'm still waiting to see the performance of the game for this "new" mode. I definitely agree with a simpler approach but I'm still down to see their idea.
Funny how last week I was complaining about how there was no 2v2. Im sure it's hard to balance 1v1 and 2v2 together which i feel like has to be a big part of why they "omitted" it and are doing a new style of 3v3. Thanks for the 2v2 vids
Yep! There are 3 2v2 maps as the product of a single dev's passion in SG right now. I'd love to see them add more and support this - it's got some really cool opportunities
Well I think it is 2v2 game at the moment. 1v1 is boring as hell but 2v2 seems fun to watch and to play. On 1v1 u ever see only few boring units used all the time even 25min into game…
they focus on 3n3 and no 2n2 is what kills the game for me ... i have a bunch of friends i could play 2n2 with but nealry never have enough at the same time for 3n3
I really don't think so - I think creeps that are centralizing are awesome. Creeps on the edge of the map draw away from interesting engagements though

I’d rather have straight up team games with matchmaking than whatever the moba mayhem mode is. This was awesome.

G1 was legendary! Flayed dragon + bombing run is an epic synergy!
2v2 really does look amazing, honestly just making 2v2 ladder play possible could bring back a lot of players into the game.
Game one was so great. So many comebacks. Huge battles. Fantastic.
That game 1 should be the goal of SG team vs team
wow holy epic banger game. sick casting beo, keep up the good work. this series was super sick. 2v2 will save stormgate
that was really entertaining! like sc2 level entertaining :)
That comeback in game 1 was super sick. I'd love to see us get more games of that quality
I am starting to get worried, I think this game is a lot of fun, but its not biting for anyone else.

So nice, we need 2vs2 ladder! Its not the same fix without a ranking.

Да, но нужен сватовство.
Does Stormgate need saving already? I haven't kept up too much with news on it. Seems to be fine whenever I hop on to play for a bit.
Player numbers are low leading into the next patch - but to be real, it's a clickbait title ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Luckily there are a couple 2v2 maps and at least one developer super excited about the mode!
creeps need to go.....
