1971 is not so long ago, how times have changed, how much we have gained, how much we have lost That lady talking about Connamara also the German man talking about fishing have all got it right, I hope that they still come back to the west with their families and friends and continue to have a great time .
I don't know what the first few fish were, but the sack was full of mackerel. You can catch them in massive numbers at times. Some just use them as bait when fishing for larger catch, but I think they are lovely grilled or especially barbecued.
@John J Kelly not necessarily, would be interested to know what happened to this in the end, I'm from Limerick but live in Dublin, should be easy to see if the cottages in Broadford are still around on Google maps
