Saw these guys at southampton guildhall when motorhead played last night, totally awesome. great line up: Skew Siskin, Michael Monroe And then Motorhead! bloody brilliant! Awesome night!
we're not bothered if you hear the influence of the ACDC style in some of our songs because it leads you to other ideas of your own. Also having a girl singer in the band who CAN really sing that kind of rock'n'roll gives a song mostly another twist towards what we do. We're influenced by many classic rock bands because that's the music we love AND you can learn a lot from these guys. As we all know the late 60's were the most creative time in rock music. I mean, Jimi Hendrix invented a lot of Hip Hop grooves years before Hip Hop became popular. It was never again that creative as during this time. A long time ago I had a short conversation with Malcom Young about this subject and he said that it makes ACDC proud to hear other bands picking up this rock'n'roll style and they love it. They did exactly the same with music their parents heard. Angus Young , who was present as well , totally supported what his brother said. The Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin were very influenced by the old american blues generation and started from there. I like to say: This music is good for you. ;) Cheers Jim Voxx (Skew Siskin)
