@Rafa Garcia Not your place to judge or invalidate others emotions and experiences. Forcing your child to do things they don't want and not letting them explore things they like can have negative long lasting effects. The biggest thing here is to not force your kids to go into a career they don't want. @@shazana1058 Well sometimes the way those expectations of becoming better are imposed are really important, just because they aren't controlling kid's every second or not punishing them very severely doesn't mean that the expectations are imposed correctly and honestly no one can be expected to be a perfect parent, it's their first time and every child is different, we can just learn from our parents' mistakes and our kids can learn from our's.

@Rafa Garcia Not your place to judge or invalidate others emotions and experiences. Forcing your child to do things they don't want and not letting them explore things they like can have negative long lasting effects.
The biggest thing here is to not force your kids to go into a career they don't want. Getting a part time job is not the same as forcing your kid to go to university and work in a field they don't like/don't want to for the rest of their life because the parents expect them to be a certain way. I swear some parents be getting mad when their headcannon for their kids don’t turn out to be cannon 👀
You know deciding your child’s future or expecting them to turn out some way is the worst thing a parent could do to their child
Expecting them to be better isn't what's hurting them, it's when you impose it upon them to level where it's stressful for them.
Having expectations and hopes for your children is natural, it's how you go about it that counts.
@@kimtgf7152 That's what I meant, the way you impose them is what matters.
