This is one of my favorite movies of childhood, I used to watch it over and over again on my summer breaks. Now that I'm older I realize how bad it is, but that doesn't stop me from loving this theme and associating it to great childhood memories. I still love The Guyver 2, though. Could never get into the anime, as much as I wanted to.
Oh my goodness I thought I was the only one feeling this way. As a kid I loved this movie. Loved this music. Sometime a couple years ago I got the movie and saw it again. Wowser it was bad. The lines were cheesey. The acting was terrible. The special effects and costumes were horrendous. I can't believe their budget was really several million.
There is some alternate reality out there, where The Guyver took off in the states and (after the sequel released) became a worldwide phenomenon. Toys, games, lunchboxes, funko pops etc...
@@virgogaming6488 I see your intention, but maybe not Netflix, considering what they've done to countless other live-action adaptations. I do agree we need a big-budget live action Guyver with good CGI and unapologetic gore and violence. The gore however will always keep it from being a big mainstream property like plo617 proposed.
Big Steve 300 yeah true the second one was absolutely amazing, with I think it was less than half the budget of this one they made it a million times better. Although I love the first film, yeah they didn't do him justice but it's a good film. Shows his weaknesses loads in that one, and then the second one he's an absolute badass!
Big Steve 300 yeah definitely! Everyone moans about the fighting in the second film, about how he doesn't use the suits abilities and stuff, but in all honesty if he did that the film would be more like 2 mins than 2 hours :S
That was the problem with the first film. The suit more or less fought for him. In the anime versions he figured out how to use the weapons on his own. Sort of.
Fkkkkk. This was my favorite hero movie as a kid. Not one of my favorites but my favorite. I can't help but to feel the music. The movie nowadays seem corny and out of touch but all we need is a remake of the old movie to a modern shoot with millennials doing their smart ass acts in it I'm fine with that.
Actually, your wrong, Mark Hamill (who played Luke Skywalker) played as the cop guy in the movie, the one that got transformed into a Zoanoid near the end. They simply used his face on the cover to give the impression he WAS the Guyver to obviously attract more people to see the movie.
@Vulkar23 Same here, go to my Grandma's as a kid and watch this movie. Then walk around pretending I was the guyver by saying GUYVER over and over. lol
Can't speak for the 90's kids, but I saw this maybe 3 years ago. It was so bad it was good, kind of like the mortal kombat movie. The humour was top notch in all honesty and the theme was well done.
Just a quick correction. Mark Hamill didn't play the roll of the guy who was The Guyver. I believe Mark plays some sort of detective in the movie though. Has a 'stache and all.
I was thinking mostly about more modern entries like OoE or LoI when I wrote this as I happened to be playing that at the time, so yes. Should have been more specific.
@@unskillfullymasterful 2005 was actually quite good for following the manga, but it had the unfortunate bit of most 2000's series in feeling kind of cringe half the time. Felt a lot more like a power rangers show that had the plot switched with Guyver
Yea the movie sucked but the theme is banging. Guyver 2 Dark Hero is much better and the Guyver costume too and of course no damn Jay Jay from good times. Lol
+Mike Smith The most recent anime was freaking great except the SHOOOO yelling from his fat friend every 5 seconds. I have never seen a character die that many times and come back again. I say just make a Agito animated series lol.
I love bryan yuzna and steve wangs work and the 1st n 2nd guyver films are one of my very fav both films are bad ass fuck the hate i lovem classic kick ass cool syfy adapted from one of the best superhero characters ever made who dosent want a guyver unit dynamite baby i hope ta hell there will be a bad ass remake bio boost
@SuperGamemaniac I feel the second movie had a better theme. Was longer too which helped. Though, this does sound cool with that James Bound kind of feel to it at 0:28
Respectfully disagree I didn't dig it on the 2nd one at first this is harder and darker and cerebral i like dark heroes music now and it's got a heroic sound to it that grew on me
exactly , but everything is better when your younger , i hunted for this movie for years and when i watched it again it was shit lol dark hero is a under-rated classic in my book , its a great movie for its time
No, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), played Max Reed. The actor that was Sean Barker/Guyver was Jack Armstrong. And by the way, the movie was horrible in my opinion.
@Buckpwns The first movie was shit but it had a better theme. The second movie was better by miles... It had a decent theme but not as good as this one.
Willard Pugh, aka mayor kuzak in robocop 2. And he was harpo in the color purple. And much to my surprise, he was also in wes craven’s hills have eyes part 2. Along with Michael Berryman who was also in both hills have eyes films
I used to think the guy who became the guyver was Jim Carrey when I was little...lol also the Asian chick "Misty" was very hot...but horrible ass actress...lol I loved the main theme for the movie which is this song but the movie was just a bummer wish they could make a remake and use the same theme
This hero deserves more attention than he has already.
Top twenty greatest theme song of all time.

@@CashflowMeDaddy ik it aged bad
But it was a masterpiece then 😎
I loved this movie as kid and now watching when im older I still love it. Classic movie
Guyver was the first ever anime i watched as a kid in 90s
So underrated 😭🙏💯
I’m the first person to watch the guyver in 2020😂 great films for sure
There is some alternate reality out there, where The Guyver took off in the states and (after the sequel released) became a worldwide phenomenon. Toys, games, lunchboxes, funko pops etc...
If it came out on Netflix today it'd be a hit.

This is a great movie. Watched it alot.
The guyver is such a cool character too bad this movie did not do him justice.
Gideon Raveshaw The second one did better.
Not to mention better fight choreography.
And it was more serious.

Gotta love early 90's!!
AMAZING!!!!!!! LOVE HOW THE THEME IS SO DETAILED LIKE ALL THE BEATS AND ALL THE MUSIC. IT COMES SO WELL TOGETHER!!!!
Absolutely fucking dope
will a superhero movie theme ever go this hard again
I love both of the films childhood syfy fav and one of my top 5 fav characters created long live cronos bio boost adapt GUYVER
Love this. Love the guyver series to death. Movie however did not cut it but the music... pretty damn good
Great Movie And Great Theme Song.
I remember this lol Loved it as a kid Loved the music aswell
ついにこの曲見つけたー!
if they do a guyver reboot they have to use this theme song or use this theme song with different instruments , what yall think?
Fkkkkk. This was my favorite hero movie as a kid. Not one of my favorites but my favorite. I can't help but to feel the music. Cool movie cool music XD
This should be the Ironman we needed.
They gotta continue the anime series
I agree man. It was so awesome
No more movies
Actually, your wrong, Mark Hamill (who played Luke Skywalker) played as the cop guy in the movie, the one that got transformed into a Zoanoid near the end. They simply used his face on the cover to give the impression he WAS the Guyver to obviously attract more people to see the movie.
I WANT REMAKE!!!
It's got a bit of James Bond in its DNA!
Daaaaayum badass Guyver music
This theme fits perfct to guyver!
wish they could make more
have anyone seen the anime its awsome
The manga is even better
Yeah its pretty good
@Vulkar23 Same here, go to my Grandma's as a kid and watch this movie. Then walk around pretending I was the guyver by saying GUYVER over and over. lol
Yep I would roleplay it with my brother
Can't speak for the 90's kids, but I saw this maybe 3 years ago. It was so bad it was good, kind of like the mortal kombat movie. The humour was top notch in all honesty and the theme was well done.
Great!
this is the best thing about the first movie
Just a quick correction. Mark Hamill didn't play the roll of the guy who was The Guyver. I believe Mark plays some sort of detective in the movie though. Has a 'stache and all.
"Where you goin' pincel-neck!?"
While the movie wasn’t great, the badass soundtrack makes up for it!
love it
Awesome movie franchise, shame there wasn't another.
+Douglas Roberts there was, it's called guyver 2 dark hero... however, you should read the manga or watch the anime instead.
This theme sounds like something out of a Castlevania game
I was thinking mostly about more modern entries like OoE or LoI when I wrote this as I happened to be playing that at the time, so yes. Should have been more specific.
+Kanjihack Lol true !
@NeoTideProductions Well Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor(2006-2007) is pretty good, You should watch it if you didnt knew about it. :D
The sequel was much better. I hope they do a remake of the Guyver and if they do then hopefully its a hardcore R rated scifi action horror gory movie.
they tried and ruined it in 2005
@@unskillfullymasterful 2005 was actually quite good for following the manga, but it had the unfortunate bit of most 2000's series in feeling kind of cringe half the time. Felt a lot more like a power rangers show that had the plot switched with Guyver
@@DracoSafarius yea but still the animation was not very good compared to the ova from the 90s
@@unskillfullymasterful Oh yeah, it was glorious in the detail and coloring
I like the tones don't get me wrong but I think part 2 was more on the epic scale.
Man this theme is badass. Too bad the movie wasn't.
wuaaaat the movies where awesome dude i really loved them
Shinsarim The second one, yes, but not the first!
JonnySuite13 I like the first one more, personally)
This should have been Ironman's theme, tbh.
@EndlessLaymon Sir, You are absolutely right!
nice tune
I.. AM... THE GUYVER!
guyver is the new Batman
lol guyver would rip batman to little pieces no doubt
Lets hope that they do.
they really need to make a guyver games or i will go ca-BOOM
Only part of the movie that was good... The theme
Yea the movie sucked but the theme is banging. Guyver 2 Dark Hero is much better and the Guyver costume too and of course no damn Jay Jay from good times. Lol

+sting7789 true
And the Guyver suit.
guyver its like a kamen rider!
the beat is hot!
@SuperGamemaniac yo bud have you got second movie theme

No, he played a secondary character.
Needs to remade. Pronto. Get Len Wiseman and Patrick Tatopolis on it.
I remember thinking this theme sounded a LOT like the intro theme to David the Gnome when I was a kid.
That is all.
Обожаю🤩🤩🤩
Классная песня
exactly , but everything is better when your younger , i hunted for this movie for years and when i watched it again it was shit lol dark hero is a under-rated classic in my book , its a great movie for its time
He wasn't, hilariously enough. They advertised him if he were, but he's a side character.
And also mark Hamill was a detective in the movie not the guyver and j.j. walker was one of the zoanoids...
@codygoodwin4 wtf there's a bunch of dudes in the movie
sounds like military song
My thoughts on The American Guyver movies: They tried, It Died.
the second movie was way better.
I liked the theme much more than our American movie
This is from the American movie.
I know. I meant i like the theme More than the movie
No, Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), played Max Reed. The actor that was Sean Barker/Guyver was Jack Armstrong. And by the way, the movie was horrible in my opinion.
I am Jase pretty sure that is anyone's opinion
no he was not
@Buckpwns The first movie was shit but it had a better theme. The second movie was better by miles... It had a decent theme but not as good as this one.
This is the only thing good to come out of that movie is the theme.
Yup he got turned into a zoanoid and died smoked a shit ton a of cigarettes... Anyway who was that black guy at the end of the movie in the suit
Willard Pugh, aka mayor kuzak in robocop 2. And he was harpo in the color purple. And much to my surprise, he was also in wes craven’s hills have eyes part 2. Along with Michael Berryman who was also in both hills have eyes films
Crap film absolutely outshined by the sequel 👍🏻
You know I like Sean more than Sho, since Sho gets annoying
LOl no he didn't
I used to think the guy who became the guyver was Jim Carrey when I was little...lol also the Asian chick "Misty" was very hot...but horrible ass actress...lol I loved the main theme for the movie which is this song but the movie was just a bummer wish they could make a remake and use the same theme
LOl the guy who played luke skywalker was the guyver
@moroteko It was a shite man :D, shite movie, The sequel was 1000 times better though :)
For such a crap film this music's pretty good.
The movie is a load of crap.
But the theme music is pretty good.
Better than any movies made lately.
