What I find hilarious is after Grog tries the wine and is trying to choke it down, you can hear the rapid pitter patter of his feet on the ground as he struggles through the taste of it. Like a little kid trying something they don't like for the first time.
It's funny he said lava rock, Matt said the wine was imported from Kamordah, which is known for the unique wine grapes that grow in the caldera of a volcano. I wonder if Travis said that intentionally or not. If so, very well played by him lol
This was easily my favorite moment of this episode. There were many funny AND dramatic/bittersweet moments I loved, but this was my favorite. For me, this really encapsulated what I love about Vox Machina and the Critical Role cast.
Grog could be a sommelier easy and it would be hilarious because he doesn't like wine. Like he can describe every wine he taste perfectly but he to him it's all terrible. Idea for an episode.
"I.... WOULD LIKE...... some ale :(" Honestly, rewatched this oneshot recently and Travis/Grog ENTIRELY stole the first half of the show. Can we also appreciate that Travis's wine glass is actually full of beer for this? I didn't notice that the first time around either.
It has taken me years to realize... grog might know what blackberries, flowers, earth and lava rock taste like... because he might have tried to eat some at some point.
The lack of ale instantly made me think something is wrong, this is percy and vexs wedding, the same people whove gotten absolutely plastered with grog on many occassion and have watched him headbut a giant over a broken cask of ale, they wouldnt have been cheap on the drinks for the event especially on the ale for grog so if they dont have any then something is clearly wrong
"my son asked for a happy meal" -pike trickfoot a year
"I..." oh no
"would like..." nonono
"some ale" oh thank God. Also, aww
I just got that.
Such a great character arc for Grog...learning to keep his rage in. I just want to cuddle him up.
Jason Fox he’s babie

Shit, I remember doing that as a kid. Man, way to bring up embarrasing memories.
@@biobiobio7777 Trust me, I'm 20-something, and I still do that.
I love Grog and wine. And the "this is the top do you have to poor it to that" sentence is one of the best CR lines ever!
Grog the wine connaisseur who doesn't like wine. This was epic. Feel the same way, although I like whisky more then ale.
0:43 everyone laughing but pyke and grog 100% serious...
It's funny he said lava rock, Matt said the wine was imported from Kamordah, which is known for the unique wine grapes that grow in the caldera of a volcano. I wonder if Travis said that intentionally or not. If so, very well played by him lol
1:30-1:44 pike is about to call the manager
Grog and Pike (Travis and Ashley) riffing off each other is on another level.
"He's a savant!" lmfao
Also Travis with beer in his wine glass
1:31 that little character break from Matt was the best thing ever
"This is the top and so you have to pour it to that" I'm gonna start using that tbh
This was easily my favorite moment of this episode. There were many funny AND dramatic/bittersweet moments I loved, but this was my favorite. For me, this really encapsulated what I love about Vox Machina and the Critical Role cast.
the tone of her voice when she says 'sure.' at 0:18 is fantastic, i love ashley so goddamn much

I love how Pyke was offended when the servant said there's no ale for Grog!
1:42 adorable sad groggy boy grog. Iss okay buddy
How tf can a fullgrown man have the look of a 4 year old that didn´t got the Happy meal toy it wanted?
Travis FUCKING Willingham terrifies me.
"I.... WOULD LIKE...... some ale :("

I miss Grog and Pike so much! 😭😭😭
Grog's face as he drinks wine reminds me of those videos of kids trying lemons for the first time.
Grog: "I . . . . .. would like . . .. . .
sOme ail."
My Brain: I would to RA- oh oohh. Nevermind false alarm.😂😂
If only Grog waited for the ale
I... Would like...
Oh god, oh fuck
...some ale.
Thank fuck.
I love the idea of a battle-hardened, hard drinking, dumb as rocks barbarian being a wine connoisseur that hates wine!
Travis playing Grog is just so amazing. He's so good
I’m surprised Grog didn’t deck Percy for not organizing to have ale there. Knowing Percy is was probably intentional too.
It's important to note this one-shot was one wrong thing said away from Grog, not Briarwood, being the big bad LOL
There's some good relationships in all three CR campaigns.. but my favorite is Pike and Grog. All the buddy energy!
It has taken me years to realize... grog might know what blackberries, flowers, earth and lava rock taste like... because he might have tried to eat some at some point.

Is that music from The Elder Scrolls? Or am I imagining that?
I don't know but it's very possible. Matt uses loads of game music
I think so. The music at the end is from the oblivion soundtrack. It’s called Wings of Kynareth
