    MJX did get me into the hobby! I have 3 MJX's now, added gyro's and lights to the other ones and 1/10 wheels to the 14301 infraction one. Got 3 others cars too, but I certainly love my little MJX's!

    I got 4 of them from Heli Direct. By far the most fun you can have with your friends on an indoor offroad carpet track. We each painted the wing a different bright color and added orange Number plates to not get confused about which cars were who. They handle on the indoor offroad carpet track like on rails. You need to use Tamiya 58mm diameter foam carpet track premounted tires. They rub a little on the body but it doesn't bother it. Soo much bang for your buck fun!

    Another great review mate, i picked up one of these a few months back. Brilliant on the tarmac, not so on loose gravel as shit gets caught up in between the steering links. On sand though she's right at home, very controllable. Hey.. can you imagine this build in a 1/7 ?
    Thanks for another great video champ...keep up the great work!! Ignore the hater wannabe's ...Your channel is well loved and respected and always will be. Take care, from one of your mates in Australia, Jim. 🙂

    These MJX cars perform extremely well with some tuning of factory parts. So far they have been consistent from the factory with every single one of the 4 I have purchased. These at the 1/14 scale are about the smallest you can go while having fantastic performance off-road (my 1/16 rally cars aren’t nearly as fun or capable on any of the tracks I’ve run them on side by side). Based on experience and tools, it will be 2-6 hours of tuning/lubing/servicing before driving it if you want it to perform well. Stock these perform 5/10 and tuned they perform at 9-9.5/10
    To get incredible performance I would recommend:
    - adjusting the toe of the car. All 4 of my cars have come with significant toe out which makes them drive all over the place and uncontrollable (especially at high speeds as the faster you go the more toe out it will have). It has taken 4-6 turns out of the tie rods (steering arms) to properly set the toe to be slightly toe-in (front of the tires pointing inwards). Wait to adjust toe until you set the suspension properly.
    -adjusting suspension. Shocks come roughly 75% filled with oil and improperly bled. Filling them and setting them for positive pressure helps them to keep up with fast continuous bumps. Adjusting the shock collar to 3/4 down to lift the vehicle 1/2” will make the largest change of anything for its performance on tracks that aren’t perfectly smooth. There is also a way to make the factory coil overs travel further up and down but I won’t get into that here.
    -Differential work. Making the front Function as an LSD and the rear as a tight LSD or fully locked will make it so the vehicle gets stuck 1/10 as much. It will make drifting corners and tight turns possible and tons more fun. The rear diff also comes bone dry with no grease so the spider gears function especially open with zero resistance.
    -lubricating rotating mating surfaces. This rig doesn’t come nearly as well lubed as it should, it is an unfortunate thing that pretty much all RC cars come this way now. The bearings these come with are also prone to failure so lubricating the inner mating surface of them will get you a bit more life out of them. CV joints absolutely need to be cleaned, lubed, and maintained after every 1-4 hours of use. My first 2 vehicles had CV joints completely lock up while racing before this was on my list. Even without ever touching water the CVs I had began to rust after a few hours use.
    -fine tuning the gyro to remain in control for your style of driving. I turn it down for intense/bumpy tracks and turn it up for higher speed tracks. This is something that will take multiple adjustments to find the medium you feel the most control in.
    Overall these are pretty great. They definitely have some draw backs but you can’t beat the value for the potential performance. I may write a pro and con review later but it’s about a 5:1 pro to con ratio. Also these in 2S single battery can be purchased for under $100 on AliExpress if you use the correct promo codes

      @@ariobimo5055 I ran some with 50W 640 CST and some with 15W 150 CST. I had slightly better performance with the 50W. My assumption is that it is because the piston design is fairly loose for faster movement. Oh and as the shocks heated up with continued laps 5-10 minutes in the 50W was performing significantly better.

      Hi Travis! My RC has come. But it won't go into reverse. i tried the 'turn on-turn off' to make sure that the receiver is working properly, but the car still not reversing.
      Any idea why or how to fix it?
      edit:
      I tried to change the channel. when i put the ESC socket to the steering socket on the receiver, it works. should i refund/ask to change the product with a new one?

    I absolutely love this car it came with two 2s lipos comes with two other sets of tires an extra fan extra heavy duty springs extra body clips for 199 that is a great price you can get the cheaper one but it only comes with one battery instead of two but if you're like me you'll want all the batteries you can get LOL and I definitely love that it comes with a gyro and from experience I would keep it off the gravel it gets stuck in the steering and if you keep messing with it you will burn the servo up so my advice as soon as you notice the steering locks up stop driving it and get the rock out this is based on experience with this vehicle for me this is a great circle track car

    • @Paulthenutter34
      @Paulthenutter34 8 місяців тому +1

      Fitted the bigger motor and esc from the 14210 into the 14301... The jump in performance (on 3S) is almost like going from 2S to 3S with the standard setup. On 2S, it's a touch quicker off the line than a mates 3s but a little slower on top speed. 3S is just another level completely...

    • @mikev221
      @mikev221 8 місяців тому

      @@Paulthenutter34 I know! that motor is so good, and it would've been not that much more expansive. When I got my 14301 in the winter I had so much fun drifting in a bit a snow on the street with the rally tires, in the dry it feels like it's lacking power. Especially compared to my 14209. So I bought a 2852 motor for it lol, they're quite cheap.
