I have a small clock collection and I have never once tried winding the clocks while they’re chiming and I also try winding them slowly so I don’t break the springs, I’m also an amateur clock repairman

@@Clock-tr6eg That doesn't mean it's bad for the entire movement. I am a clockmaker by profession and I often see that movements have excessive wear.
