i genuinely believe that everyone should try getting rid of their smartphones at least once in their life. while i say this, i also understand that its not as feasible as i made it seem. for one, i did this challenge while im on summer break AND during a period where i wasn't working. if i were to try this during the school year, it would definitely be a lot harder.
there are so many advantages to a smartphone that outweigh the possibility of being unproductive in everyday life. and while i ultimately made the choice to switch back to my iphone, that doesn't mean there should be a lack of discipline in regards to how much time i spend on mindless scrolling.

I'm a millennial in my thirties and I had a phone like this when I was a teenager. Watching this reminds me of how manual everything was back then. Printing off directions to get places, using a phone like a phone, not having anything to distract you during moments of silence. In some ways we gained a lot from the smartphone era but I also feel like we lost a lot too. How many of us can truly be still anymore? How many of us have had our attention spans ruined because of it?

I’m in my thirties as well and I think we can go back to the old days without an old flip phone, I have no social media besides you tube and I use a first gen iPhone SE and really only use it for work, my point is a little self discipline goes a long way
What sucks is that I was perfectly happy using a flip phone, even up until 2015, but I felt like there was this huge amount of pressure to get a smart phone, especially by other classmates who tended to relentlessly make fun of the fact that I didn't have an iPhone. Nowadays, with how easily accessible social media is, its only helped to devastate my mental health even further and I honestly wish I had never gotten one to begin with

I'm 24 too, my first phone was a Nokia 6600 when I was 10, and owning a flip phone or slide phone during that time was such a luxury.

not going to lie. i miss the flip and slide era. everyone had a different phone very unique (sucked when we all had different chargers) but it was nice to see color, styles, and personalization. we have bricks now. i didnt realize how much times we loose with our smartphones. it was a simpler time. low key want to get a flip phone for week day use.

I'm Gen Z, my first phone was a flip phone - and oh my days, the way I used to type on that thing. The muscle memory was crazy, the texting definitely gets easier.

I used to have one too! My favorite one was a red one that my father had that slid out almost like a nintendo DS sorta style, but smaller of course it was pretty cool. I think the first phone I ever really "had" was my father's extra phone it was a broken Samsung from what I remember, but it had some great memories.
Idk why people are saying you’re dumb. You seem lovely and this video was fun to watch. People are acting like 5 hours is the absolute worst but I’ve seen people whose screen time goes into the 17+ hours range.
I used to spend hours doomscrolling, I have since deleted these apps and my phone screentime has dropped significantly but I do still spend a lot of time on UA-cam which I'd like to try to cut back on. I've entertained the idea of getting a feature phone to be more intentional with the devices I carry around so I am less likely to get sucked into the smartphone but one "requirement" I have is being able to use discord because I chat with my closest friends that way.
Well 5 hours is terrible, as a student that those 5 hours are time I should have studied or used for assigments but instead I wasted that time doing nothing on my phone
@@ambiarock590I hope you've already found your solution but if you haven't, there is a pretty good browser extension known as uphook basically strips UA-cam of all it's addictive qualities,no thumbnail,no recommended videos under the video you are currently watching forcing you to focus on what you are watching, it pretty much neuters UA-cam's addictiveness oh did I mention it removes UA-cam shorts?
There are lots of great UA-cam videos about it if you need more research on it.
I observed that a lot of Gen Zs and late millenials are starting to veer away from social media, even using dumb phones, I always see them at reddit r/dumbphones and r/digitalminimalism. Its nice to see that people are making this hectic world much simpler and focusing on things that really matter
going to get my flip soon. no more rotting for me! self control is easier said than done! so glad that other ppl my age are feeling the same way i do because it seems like alot of people dont even question how much time they are just wasting! good luck girl. i feel like im really going to miss my notes app lol ive got to get a little pocket notebook maybe

I have an ipad (for drawing and stuff, had it way before my current phone), so the notes aren’t a concern for me. They are really great though 😊

as someone who was born in 1988 it's so weird that these things are sooo new to you ^_^ I was 14 when I got my first cell phone and it was a Nokia 3310! a quite expensive, world famous, still works these days kind of badass phone. Then we got used to flips and later to smart phones, it was a lovely journey, I miss the diversity of shapes and forms and colors phones had in the early 2000s, today every single phone looks the exact same boring thing

I've been using a flip phone for 3 years (since my freshman year, I'm a senior now). its honestly the most refreshing experience. when I'm out with friends, I never pull it out. I bring it along for music, to take videos/pictures, and keep in touch with my mom. other than that I've never felt more connected to people. Honestly, I'd do the same thing that my mom did with me, I'd buy them a flip phone. it's a really nice experience.

26 here, and I think my generation was at the weird cusp of Gen Y and Gen Z, hence got to experience using flip phones in the days(2007ish to 2011 before we even saw touch phones as norm). We put our bluetooth to more use for all the shady downloading of music, afraid of the internet bill if we ever open the Opera browser, the experience of watching "You belong with me" on tiny 1 inch UA-cam screen. That's why the release of flip is so nostalgic. It was a time we still had a phone, but due to limited functionality, we were still able to enjoy life back in the day without phones ruling our lives.

I was born in 99 and am only 3 years older then this girl but my first phone was a flip phone and I remember when the iPhone came out. I got my first cell phone in first grade though so I always have had a cell phone all my life. My parents were divorced and my mom wanted me to have a way to contact her so she bought me a cheap flip phone I had for years. I went through three flip phones before finally getting my first iPhone in 2012.
Exactly! I was born in 93 so when I was in 7th/8th grade sliding phones and flip phones were the rage. I would record the opening credits songs of my favourite Animes on my dads phone, tranfer mp3 music files through Bluetooth with my friends to avoid the internet bill and man the sms and mms culture lol. We made up short forms for so many words that i think it was a whole other language that we used for texting simply cuz it took so long to type. But it was fun all the same and we really became quite fast at texting using the number keys with practice. From 2007-2010 there were so many different kinds of phones just from a design perspective. Blackberry had its own unique style, I loved the sleek nokia 700 and the combination of the physical qwerty keyboard and the touch screen on the sliding nokia c6. When samsung released the first galaxy s1 I was in 11th grade. I think being the inbetween generation we experienced the complete evolution of mobile phones. I cant even tell you how happy i am to see the flip back in action.
we born between 96-99 are in the cusp of millennials and gen z so yep we saw some things changing by ourselves like i remember back in 2013/14 there was those sort of mix of ppl having basic phones and ppl who got their first smartphone for the first time

Great video! Back in the day we used to abbreviate words because text messages were expensive and there was no wifi. So the person we sent the message to had to practically decode it. It was both a time and money saver! Also if you learn the keys you can text without even looking at the screen ( especially useful for typing in class )

Great video! I have been living without a smartphone for more than 3 months now and I actually advise people if they want to try this - try it at least for a month. There are benefits that show later on and 1 week is not enough in my opinion to fully grasp the smartphone's influence on our lives.
Currently, a fulltime student and employee but get trapped in the no social life and using media to cope. I realize I've lost interest or my time span to do usual things because it's easier to scroll for enjoyment. I use to read ALOT. But now I pick up a book and within 15 minutes I'm back on my phone and lost interest. I recognize this & it's like drug recovery you don't go hang out in a trap house is you're a recovered addict. It's hard when my life is co dependant on this little phone. I just need a mental release tired of seeing drama and war or things about people that I'll never meet!
@@hearanecho Sorry, you are feeling this way! I understand completely, cause I was the same. I still have no social life but have returned to things I used to love like reading and photography, also I am more productive at work but generally what I love the most is the PEACE and quiet you have in your head. My anxiety is much more reduced and my worries too. I get so much less headaches, I am more calm and open to new people, and I handle much better difficult situations. I am using my laptop still to connect to social media and friends, but the laptop is not nearly as addictive as a smartphone. The smartphone brought me such craziness in my head and my everyday life just slipped away between scrolls. So I hope you get the courage to change things a bit and try living without a smartphone, I so highly recommend it!
crazy that smartphones are supposed to be so useful but we've been programmes to only have instagram, snap and twitter on them. We rarely use them for something productive and when we do, its often secondary

6. Choice to choose any browser besides Google chrome
7. Screen Recorder with high quality audio

11. Better cameras, even for entry level phones.
The lack of screen recording is a big deal breaker for me and that's why I will never use feature phones as a daily driver

This is one of my favorite videos ever. The intro is actually one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed. The editing, the style, every transition, cut and piece of dialogue feels in place. The insight throughout the week is real and I enjoy how much of your personality leaks through the small interactions with the people around you. It's also a really smart concept given how addicting smartphones and social media has become. You've made me want to give up my phone or at least lower my screen time. I probably wont switch to a flip phone right away, maybe I'll just get an android or something. Honestly, great video and one of my personal favorites. I just turned 26 a couple months ago and I've used all the Androids and iPhones you can think of and I truly miss just being completely disconnected from the online world.
I deleted my social medias a few years ago but have developed a LARGE youtube addiction instead, which I guess is a little bit better but still not nowhere near where I want to be.
I literally sold my iPhone today and want to buy the CAT S22 to be my main phone now. Still having the option to have Google Maps and Email when needed but to be completely turned off from wanting to procrastinate when I know I can be more present in the moment.

Yeah. I, too, had flashback nostalgia. Oh, the video and audio quality.. It reminds me of the videos we used to record with our buddies when we hanging around. I'm sure today's generation will complain about the video/audio quality. But it's the best we have at the time, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We were pretty happy with it.

Honestly, more young folks needs this challenge. I swear once you get used to the T9 keypad inputs, you would become a god when it comes to typing messages. There was a time when I could text complete replies without even looking down on my phone. GPS is something that is so ingrained in our lives nowadays that it would be the one thing I would wish more flip phones have. That being said, I'm glad you got positive points out of the experience and I do encourage more young people to try this out. Also, great choice on the flip phone!
Exactly! I am constantly saying how badly I miss T9 texting because I was SPEEDY with it and never even needed to look at the screen. I genuinely hate texting on touch screens with smartphone keypads. lol
@@JashanaC the closest you can get is switching to a T9 keypad on your smartphone. but there's something about the tactile nature of the physical buttons. but it also makes us sound like our elders who used to reminisce about older tech.

I find it funny how hard it is for her to adapt to something else, I remember us all being able to txt pretty quick with the keypads back in the day lol. Also blows my mind this generation that grew up with technology has so little understanding of the technology they use.
It's just her. Flip phones were still very popular when she was growing up. I'm only a few years older than her and everyone definitely knew how to use it
I am one year older and still had 3 keypad phones. I was quick at texting and most definitely knew how to create new contacts and add music. Tbh I do not mean it in a mean way but she was lucky and got the privilege to have earlier access than the majority to touch screen phones. I am happy that more and more people realize how dependent we are on our phones.
I’m only 20 and it was so funny seeing her struggle to figure it out since I had my fair share of experience with flip phones when I was younger lol, I guess it all just depends on how you grew up, regardless of your age 🙂
I'm 29, flip phones were still being used when I was in middle school and I remember still getting that phantom feeling thinking my phone was vibrating. Also, the more you use the phone the easier it will be to text quicker. Most of us were able to text quickly without looking, that was the best way to text in class without getting caught. I love that you did this little experiment and I'm surprised you were able to do it for a week. I would have the hardest time going back to a flip phone, or even just the full keyboard phones.
i recommend going into your phone's color filter settings and putting it on grayscale. without all those colors popping out at you it's soooooo much less addicting and you'll want to use it less. hope this helps

I think seeing that it’s not impossible to do things without an i phone is really comforting and I’m gonna try writing out directions instead of relying on maps.

I did this exact thing last year. Bought a flippy but used it for a month and then switched once and for all from my iPhone (smart phone) that I had had for 10 years to a “mid phone” called a uniherz titan slim. I will never go back to a smart phone, I am like the only person I know without one or social media and I am so much happier.

I'm a gen'Xr impressed by your patience and dedication to this experience. People have been trying to "downgrade to dumbphones" for years as you've probably seen here on youtube. As a former Blackberry user I'm really surprised that full QWERTY messaging "dumbphones" don't exist. I mean if they're gonna still have flip phones (not counting smart flip phones..) why not have QWERTY physical keyboards again? That would help bridge the gap for people like you that want to use this tech but need to communicate much faster. A Blackberry would have been so much better for this experiment. Unfortunately, they are no longer supported. (

The issue with many folks is their lack of self-discipline. Take my coworker, for instance. He whips out his phone whenever he gets a chance, just to scroll through Instagram reels. What's really surprising is that he's in his fifties! You'd expect someone of his age to exercise a bit more restraint, but alas, that's not the case.

I am using a dumb Phone (also Nokia) for 8 Months now, mostly because i got to addicted to my smartphone (daily usage beetween 6 and 8 hours)
For me it wasnt such a deal breaking thing: i am 34 years old and got my first smartphone in 2013 when i was allready a grown up man, so using a nugget was just a travel back in my youth again :D

perks of having a flip phone is that nobody is interested on stealing that
i’ve been using the nokia 2780 since the end of last year and I honestly never want to go back to a smartphone. yeah it can be annoying to use and the ‘dumbphones’ currnetly available kinda suck in quality but being free from the deliberately addictive smartphone is honestly such an amazing feeling

So I switched from my iPhone 13 mini which I still have at home and will occasionally take it with me if it's for something I really need (very rarely happens). I only have my SIM card and phone service in my Nokia 2780 flip (same one she has in the video) so it is my main phone; but you can use the phones hotspot to give service to other devices in a pinch. It has a music player but I use an iPod so I don't really use it for that, and no it doesn't have WhatsApp. Most dumb phones dont have WhatsApp but some do, especially the android based ones@@user-q018
for heavy duty google u still need droid ( like a micro laptop) for aything else than gaming and social meida ur good to go on 2780( just hope they dont screw the kaios v whastapp api, as they did already each tie they update the kaios)
yeah but kinda the point of a dumbphone is to get away from google services lol, but they do have dumbphones that run android if you really need it, but i'd prefer to use my laptop/tablet at home for that anyways. and yeah for kaios 3.0/3.1 there's no whatsapp, although the fact that theyre owned by facebook (meta) is very unappealing to me so i've never used it anyways@@sargera1
I grew up with a flip phone, and then used palm pilots for quite awhile, so smart phones were not my foundational devices. It was really cool to watch someone else have that experience now in 2023 and to hear how it changed your focus, your mental health, and how you did everyday things. I think it's really cool that you did this experiment, but even more than that, thank you for sharing it! It was a treat to follow along.

i've actually went a year without my phone and some months without devices, people would be having a group convo and the suddenly it's over and they go on their phones. i would just sit and watch them and then i would try to start a new conversation and everyone would just ignore me and still would be on their phones. when i finally got my phone back i feel like i became a lot slower with focusing/getting tasks done bc i was getting a notification/ i would want to check my phone. also sometimes i needed it for class and it made things easier to submit work. I think people are 100% more productive without phones, but at the same time we need them for certain parts of production. oh and it was harder for me to get in contact with someone bc i obviously had to ask to borrow a phone.i think the only part we should deduct or take a bit away is social media/games an entertainment on phones. it just wastes our time, and we could be making more fulfilling memories in our lives.

I had myself a similar experience, when i lost my phone while being in Uni and i was then stuck for a whole week with no phone, location or whatever. Despite the bad incident, i still really think that changed my thoughts on internet and social-media forever. Great to see you did too!
I am a gen z, 21 year old, I grew up using my parents flip phones just to play games on it when I was a kid. And got my first flip phone when I went to middle school, boy glad I was no stranger to that awesome thing. Really loved my flip phone. It really boggled my mind how students at middle school had smartphones as their first phone. I know mine was cooler. Because I wasn’t distracted, and the students were.

Good video if you're willing to go to quite an extreme. For people who don't quite want to go that far - you can also consider uninstalling your biggest time waster apps, or simply setting a timer whenever you use a time waster app, and so forth. Personally not being able to quickly search something up or check and reply to emails trumps any potential productivity boost I might get from switching back to a dumb phone. But hey, different strokes for different folks...

I liked the video when you had to hitch a ride with Darius because I actually love the fact that it forced you to reach out to another human being when you would’ve left and driven home alone! And that it was so time consuming that you would’ve rathered not type which gives you more to say in person. Not having a phone as less helpful as it is, it’s so special how much it forces you to rely on the real world. 😊
Im going to buy a flip phone soon, i dont have a bad addiction compared to my peers, however i feel like it makes me less creative. I used to be a creative kid, and now im just boring. Getting a flip phone to keep me off of social media, and let me live a little more :)

Is so weird to me that this is so new to you bc I'm also 21 and I grew up watching my relatives using flip phones (and other types of "keyboard phones") all the time till the mid 2010s...my mom even used to lend me hers so I could play games on it, so I was kinda surprised to see you struggling with the keyboard haha. This exact model phone (even the color!) has been my full time phone for 9 of the past 10 months (dated someone for a month who refused to text/call instead of using a messaging app), and I have loved it! I keep a Galaxy S10e around as a camera, but everything else I use the Nokia for. It's not for everyone, but for a specific kind of person it's a really good idea. Plus it has google maps! How many other dumbphones have that?

I´m waiting to buy myself exactly this model, a Nokia 2780. I'm 32, so I grew up using flip phones, so I'm well acquainted with the slow, cumbersome typing, as well as the extremely limited app experience.
I love every aspect of this video, from the slow typing anguish, to the no-gps. It really does remind me how simple things were back then, and sometimes how truly bloated and unnecessary the phone experience is now (which you summarized perfectly at the end). Most of what you explained is, in fact, the reason why I'm looking to move away from a smartphone.
Some things that have helped me while using a smartphone. Just delete all social media. That'll reduce your time on-screen inmensly. Social media makes you feel like you need to be connected, but that's just a feeling, and being connected just drains a lot of time from your day. Pointless endeavor, imo. UA-cam on your cellphone is also distracting, so I take it off. Every smartphone app I use is mostly productivity-based, and music streaming platforms. Everything else is taken out.
I'm 22 and also grew up with flip phones. The slow cumbersome typing stopped being slow when you developed a muscle memory for the buttons. My mom wasn’t happy about the phone bill back then, I used to text a lot as a kid :D
im 15 and have a nokia 2660 flip as my main and only phone. i was honestly quite shocked when you showed how high tech yours was compared to mine. mine doesnt have youtube, the capacity to transfer music, or even have wifi for it. plus the user interface is completely different.
its still pretty funny whenever i see people try to figure it out, especially the typing. thank gosh for my predictive text

I am actually two years younger than you (2004) and while I have never had a flip phone, my first phone (2018 - december, 2021) was a keypad phone with limited functions. I noticed a similar phenomenon among other people with smartphones during this time. We rely on smart phones for way too many things and it has become a real issue. Phones went from a simple communication device to entertainment, clocks, timers, bus tickets, credit cards, cameras, tiny computers, etc.
This in itself isn't necessarily a bad thing but we find we can no longer do basic things without it and the current world isn't exactly helping. I have seen some posters for events where you have to scan a QR code just to get all the details, your issue with the bus ticket was just another example.
I love having a smartphone but sometimes I miss my old phone.
Its so crazy how we actually do need our smart phones for daily conveniences. I do pray we'll all be done with social media at some point at least.

I'm kinda tempted on getting a flip phone like that but I think I would go with something that runs android. That way I can still use stuff like google maps, spotify and uber if I ever need it, but it still keeps me out of social media because it would be just too much work to use it in such a tiny screen without a touch keyboard.

me almost 30 and having flip phones as a kid, texting without looking is so much easier and faster when you get a hang of it hahaha this is so trippy to watch someone experience this for the first time however, I do love Gen-Z and how they challenge their perspective to better themselves!

This may sound weird but I got an apple watch and thought it was going to bring my screentime wayyy up. But I've noticed I don't bring my phone all the time ( walking around my house etc) since I have my watch, so if I do get an notification it shows up on my watch and I know I won't miss anything without my phone. I've also noticed that I NEVER check my phone to ''see if someone sent me anything'' because I always know if they did thanks to my watch. This means that I never pick up my phone unless I make a conscious choice to pick it up to text someone or check social media (instead of picking it up everytime I get an notification and then get ''stuck'' on tiktok just because I have the phone in my hand) So instead of bringing my screentime up it had the opposite effect! :)

This is so good. I'm not sure if there's a QWERTY keyboard phone that's being sold right now but that would have been an easier transition for you. Otherwise, this is really a great idea. I can't believe how much time has passed when we are lost in scrolling through our social media accounts.
I recommend turning off all notifications, even red dots, for all destructive apps. I only have Telegram, Messages, banking apps, language learning apps, and email red dots. That's it.
It didn't help with the fill problem, but it at least helped me check my phone less often. So, I also think about switching to a dumb phone.
I loved the random brand little tiny rectangle phones! One I had was like a little iPod. It had play and skip buttons on the edges and could download music.

I’d say more Iphone users are on Snapchat, instagram etc ( I know everyone is no matter what phone) TikTok. Using it not even as a phone anymore. When I and your parents were your age now, we had just changed-over from old FAT16 to FAT32 on our computer systems. It was a big deal. You couldn’t do multimedia efficiently on FAT16 storage formats, for one thing.
I feel like you would've done well with a "feature" phone, they're like flip phones but with full running Android, so you can use maps, scan qr codes, Spotify, etc. But it is still annoying and almost impossible to comfortably use any type of social media or video streaming apps on it like you would on a smartphone, which is the goal anyways.

"This is what kids did back in the 2010s". I was 16 in 2010 and, despite smartphones being a few years old, I believed them to be evil. So I never had a true flip phone, but I did have many "dumb" phones before finally getting an iphone many years later.
I got very good at typing with the number pad, and then, eventually, with texting keyboards. Honestly, I haven't really gotten used to typing on a touch screen. I miss physical keyboards.
I forgot where I was going with this and now just feel like someone's grandma.
But yea, for me at least, it was like this.
I'm surprised by how antique flip phones seem to everyone. like I'm 18 and my first phone was a flip phone. it's really not that old and it used to be totally normal for me.
also side note I think the whole trend with "phones are evil and you should limit your media use" isn't necessarily a good thing. the problem isn't social media, it's how you decide to use it. if you find yourself developing bad habits, then sure you might want to stay away from it. the content I consume makes me feel mostly good and inspired because I choose what I do online. if social media makes you feel worse, then maybe the problem is with how you use your time there.
follow people that motivate you, not influencers that make effortless content. also, delete tiktok, it's a plague :)
it's like saying to an alcoholic something like "oh just grab one beer at a pub, it's no big deal" when you can manage without any alcohol. We don't really NEED these phones, how do I know.. I'm 35.. I had a home computer and not even a cellphone as a kid.. as a teen I had a flip phone and a laptop. I got maybe a bit more bored at coffee shops etc because I could not distract myself with a phone and some social media app like Instagram. but other than that.... it wasn't so bad. My mental health has been going downhill ever since they introduced iPhones and apps.. for real. I'm now bombarded with "information" and ads and notifications, there is no peace. People expect me to always be reachable, I'm afraid of taking a shower in case someone might need me. Some actually think you are "angry at them" or dead if you don't respond within 15 minutes. Like "oh I'll just block her then.." 😂 gurl, I was shaving my goddamn legs and even brushed my teeth! Should I now not practice self care.
and it's not even just online buddies or my mom but like DOCTORS getting pissed off because I didn't pick up! oh my God, when I was a kid it was normal to walk around town with no phone at all. You literally called someone when you got home.

I didn't have a smart phone over the Sumer so I reverted back to a button phone and boy on boy was it fun to be back. I was shouting all summer "reject modernity and embrace tradition! " still have this stance

Whenever I have left my iphone in another room and used my flip phone as an alarm clock I've slept soo much better. It's like we are subconsciously ready for notifications while we're sleeping or something. Sometimes I think about how often I check my phone and you'd think I was an on-call surgeon or something, lol.
Thank you!!! I actually did notice my sleep being much better because I had a bad habit of using my phone right before I went to bed AND as soon as I would wake up. But getting rid of the phone also got rid of the feeling of subconsciously wanting to check it which was crazy to experience.

Try using Focus Modes and make one for sleep. On weeknights, my phone goes into sleep mode at 10pm and I don’t get any notifications. The only exception I’ve created if for my daughter. You can also make it so you only see certain screens, so you can hide apps and make it more difficult to just pick it up and get caught up using it.
Thanks for the video! I'm getting the same Nokia phone (but in hot pink, a la Motorola Razr circa 2006) to give this challenge a go! I am mostly thinking I will miss tap-to-pay on my phone, Google maps directions, and Spotify. But I wanna get this screen addiction out of my liiiiife, and see how I feel without continual access to the internet wherever I go.

I'm 30, so my first phone was a flip phone and this brought back so many memories. The texting style on the keypad is called T9, and honestly, if you keep at it you'll be surprised how fast you can type with it. Whole sentences in 10 sec. What I miss (and also kinda hated) back then was that these phones NEVER DIEDDD. They were literally bricks. I remember intentionally chucking it at concrete with all the force in my body and it had only a scratch. Hope you keep it around for a bit longer haha
