Informative. However, the Drivers Extract is now invalid and will not be of any use as they now request for a Letter from the Nigerian Embassy. Getting this letter is not an issue. Check online for the Drive History Letter from Nigerian Embassy and you will see the requirements. Cost you $100 Money order and you need to send it with a self addressed envelope. Everything is around a $150. Good luck guys.

I remember back in the 80's you could write yer beginners & get yer FULL LICENCE THE SAME DAY if there was an open spot!!

Hello Mykoko, thanks for this video its really helpful... My question is can i use a Scanned copy of my Driving Extract from Nigeria to get a G-License?
I had to DHL mine, but that was 2 years ago. You can try first with a printed scan just to be sure. Thanks for watching
With existing driving experience from home country (which allows to bypass the G2 test); upon completion of the knowledge test - what type of license will I be holding? and will I be able to drive immediately without taking the final G test?
You get G1 after passing the knowledge test, it's a learning permit. You can only drive with an instructor.

After taking your test for G1 , how long do you have to wait to get the license
You get the G1 license immediately after passing the test.
They issue a temporary license after you pass your test. The card would come in 2 to 6 weeks from the day you passed your test.
Bro thanks for this..When you were about to take your full G license test,did you use an instructor to atleast guide you because African roads are different from Canadian ones?or did you just dive in without any guidance?

You can't drive with a G1 license without an experienced driver with you. Research other limitations. I'm not sure about buying a car with a G1 license tho. You can call/visit any dealership to find out.

I forgot to bring my driver's extract if I show them a scanned copy will they accept it

You can send a request to info@frsc.gov.ng, you'll however need to call their call center to make arrangements for them to send it to you. The other option is to apply through the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa (nigeriahcottawa.ca/drivers-license-letter/).

You can take G1 and wait for 1 year to get the next level.
You would be allowed to go for G2 immediately if you have drivers licence from Nigeria

Depending on which province you're visiting, you may be able to drive with your license for a short duration. Check online for the address of the province's ministry of transportation. Also, you shouldn't need a Canadian drivers license if you're only coming here for a visit.
If you're staying as a tourist, you may only need an international license from your home country.

Hello Bro...just landed 3 weeks ago. My drivers license from Nigeria is only 1 year plus old. Do you still advice i get the drivers extract?
The purpose of the extract is to prove how long you've been driving. I'm not sure if 1 year is enough. It's your decision.
2 yr experience of driving is must to skip g2 time
Are international students permitted to drive in British Columbia 🙏
They drive in Ontario. I don't know about BC
