Hi Henrietta. I was years since I had eaten Toad in the hole, so I am glad I made this one. Chilly here today, but at least there was some sunshine to brigthen the spirits.
Oooh love this ❤ here in Liverpool we have Bexleys master butchers who make amazing award winning sausages. I'll definitely be giving this a try. Thanks Geoff 😊
Good morning Uncle Geoffrey from Sir Barney the Third , Bobby Buttons the Fourth ,Uncle Perceval et Hugh . A firm favourite and we are excited to see your take on this classic .Uncle Percy says he likes his with added Mince ,peas and carrots served with a tankard of ale .
Hi Geoff, I just love Toad in the Hole! The trick is finding good sausages in our small, prairie town. I have to make a trip to a bigger city. I’ll be putting sausages on my shopping list. I’ll follow your recipe, too. You had my mouth watering! 😋😊
HI Judith. I hope you can find some nice sausages. I am lucky that I can get very good ones, to my tastes, quite easily. I hope you enjoy the Toad when you make it.
Hi Liverbird. I have done so many Christmas recipes that I am not sure what I might do. But it is starting soon with a simple Christmas Cakes Bars or Squares recipe.
Oh that looks gorgeous! That's my favourite meal, I know what's for dinner tonight 😂thankyou Geoff, my mum used to cut up the sausages to if money was tight and sometimes put the onions in the batter mix, that was lovely too!. 💕
Geoff, good morning from Wisconsin! I have never tried this, but have seen other videos for it. I will try yours! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!
This looks great, Geoff, I will try it this week. That looks like a "dreary weather" dish, and here we are starting to get colder temperatures and wetter days at the moment. Just the perfect weather for something comforting and tasty. I live in Canada and can't get Cumberlands or Lincolnshires, but I'll find something that will do. Stay well, Geoff!
Yeah - this is it, I haven´t prepared that for long time now. I do the sauce a bit different but onion gravy is just a simple and good idea. I like the Italian Sausages, made of pork and they need to be roasted and then put into the pudding. i also prefer some salad and a good glass of wine.
HIh Anton. It's best to use sausages that you like and can easily buy, since the type we use in the UK are not available in many places. I am sure your Toad is good.
Hello agian from Malta dear Geoff - I love these british classics which remind us so much about our British influence - more please! did you use oxo for that stock pls or some other kind? Thx

Wow, this is so stunning and beautiful how you do prepare this.
The video will show you how.
I love a toad in the hole Geoff, top job 👍
HI Mark. Thanks very much.
I love the old traditional grub but sadly my Mum isn't here to do it so thanks Geoff for reminding us how it's done.
HI TNToncourt. You are welcome.
Well done, Geoff. This really is a classic British dish, and absolutely delicious. Superb!! All the very best as ever, Peter A :) :) :)
Hi Peter. Thanks very much.
@@geoffsbakingblog Thanks for responding, Geoff. Take care, and I'm looking forward to your next show. Peter A.
This is so good in the cold months. I'm looking forward to trying your gravy. Cheers!
Hi Magada. I hope you enjoy the gravy.

I have never had this, but it looks delicious Geoff 😋 Especially if it’s cooked by you 😉
Hi Barbara. Thanks very much. It was very tasty.

Hi Michelle. I sometimes add some mixed herbs and a little garlic powder into the batter. I hope you enjoy your dinner.

HI Robin. Thanks very much. I hope you find some nice sausages to try when you make the dish.
Morning Geoff sir! Hope you're having a good day! My that looks mighty tasty! I'm a bit of a sausage snob 😂 but like a nice toad! 👍
Hi Caz. Thanks very much. I am rather particular about sausages too. But I am rather partial to those from Marks & Spencer.
@geoffsbakingblog ohh which ones?
@@caz12345 My particular favourite is Pork with Caramelised Red Onions.
@geoffsbakingblog ohh now you're talking! Me too 🤣
Thanks. I never ate this. I never even saw this on a menu. I did eat bird's nest soup in Hawaii. 😮
I have never tried bird's nest soup.
I suppose it's better than Bat soup Lol

Hi Daniel. On this occasion I used Knorr Rich Beef Stock cubes, but I do often use Oxo cubes.
I'm 100% certain that I need ingredients from Britain to make a proper Toad. I've tried it in different countries and it never turns out right😂
Hi Marco. Certainly the sausages are likely to be different. The other ingredients should be the same.
