I would look into getting the trailer wrapped, even if it's a plain color.. It'll help protect the paint underneath from getting scratched. Also, the problem with trailer panels is they are made out of 18 or 20 gauge aluminum and it's a pretty large surface, they always look dented.
You are spot on 1st world problems Adam! No matter what trailer you buy from even the most expensive manufacturer they look "dented" when in reality its waves in the thin sheet alum. White trailers show this the least and the darker color you get the more it is noticeable. This is from many yrs experience and having many trailers. That 2 ft of space behind the axles is very nice just learn how to load the trailer right, weight can go back there as long as there is enough weight on the tongue. You have a lot to learn and being so nit picky will just stress you out for no reason.
Also the the reason the exterior metal looks dented is because the trailer flexes a little as ya go down the road. It happens. The trailer is a tool, not a show vehicle
Adam we understand you spent ALOT of money on the truck and trailer but it's gonna get scratched dented heated and all that you shouldnt replace panels just because of one little dent or scratch just let it be because it will happen the next time you drive it, it is a truck it's made to take all those hits
Orion Moreno adam isn't a yuppie for that its something that ford should make more obvious because it looks like it serves no purpose until you put the cap on there so adam isn't at fault, ford is
Hey Adam just a small detailing tip when you're using a sponge (best to use a microfibre wash mitt because it traps dirt instead of dragging it around your paint like a sponge) don't go in small circles ! That's how you get swirls, so go in long horizontal sweeps so in the event that you're actually putting these light scratches in the clear coat the long light scratches are harder to see than concentrated swirls! But going in long sweeps will require more trips back to the buckets so make sure you're always lubricated ;)
J Mata people started laying seats down like that so they could do drivebys and be hiden and have a less chance of being hit themselves, wouldent make sense if you called them "white boy seats"
Also - there's some cool power retractable bed covers that also support up to 500 pounds. You can open them to any position and then lock them in place. Key locked, so you can use it like a trunk and just slide it back a little to throw something in the back and then lock it up. Consider bed storage solutions too so smaller things don't slide around. There's a whole world of mods you can do on pickups!
i haven't watched your videos in a few days since i've been so busy and now that i watched one on the extremely short time i had to get ready for school i am so happy! i love your videos Adam and i hope you don't stop for a long long time, you live my dream life! Have a good day in Conneticut
Agreed that Ford leather seems to be a lot softer than BMW leather. However that's also the reason that every older Ford truck has torn leather- it's not super durable over the long run. Meanwhile that stiffer BMW leather lasts quite a while- I have a 17 year old BMW with 191k miles and original leather that has no tears, and a 14 year old BMW with 214k miles that has really good leather as well.
The more you buy, the more annoyances you're going to have, Learn to live with imperfections or just learn to enjoy what you already have. This is key to happiness.
Order billet aluminum Fuel and DEF caps. They have a magnetic back so they stick to the back of the gas cap when you are filling up. Most diesel guys do this.
Ya could maybe have it buffed and have paint protection film (self leveling) applied to the sides of the trailer to help prevent the scratches. Would be costly but worth it on black if you plan on keeping. Very nice set up!!
I have the exact same bed cover but got it with a used truck so I had no idea what the rods were for or anything. Thank god for that part of the video.
Then he shouldn't complain about it then! Black anything shows EVERYTHING, so if you get something to use and worried about image stay away from dark colors especially black.
As far as the fuel cap, look on the hinge of the fuel door. There is a little hook. You hang the lanyard for the fuel cap on it and it keeps it from resting against the bed.
It's 2017. Surely everyone who subscribes to anybody knows by now that if a video was just recently uploaded, it won't be full HD right away? Most of the time the videos are uploaded earlier, and just made available at a certain time, processing already done.
I got the same bed cover as you and it had dents in the rails also. I contacted the company and they sent replacement rails right away with no issues. Good luck.
Adam, there's a little tab that you hook the cap's plastic tether to on the inside of the fuel door. That keeps the fuel cap off the paint. It's tiny and doesn't hold the cap itself. Easy to miss, but it's there.
Fair, but its a business write off. So really its free...ish'. But I can also see that as a business you would want your brand portrayed well so I get it. But its still just a truck even with 40k in options. And trailers get dented just like drift cars. Put a wrap on it and call it a day. But this just imho. Happy he got what he wanted and its working out. I just think its silly.
For the future Adam, you can get automatic sliding tunnel covers. I have one for my Sierra and it's very convenient with the click of a button your tunnel cover slides open and rolls up in a aluminum box.
Adam if the gas cap scratching the paint bothers you, look into getting a company to wrap you some of that clear protective wrap in that area. It's so barely noticeable unless you look for it, and people with supercars often get the front wrapped this way to keep the paint protected while keeping their cars looking stock. LIKE SO HE SEES.
The gas cap has a spot to store it, you can see it on the hinge about an inch away from the clip that holds the tether for the cap. It is just a tab that holds the edge of the cap.
You can hang the fuel cap like you did or the edge of the cap hangs on the little hook. The trailer panels will always look dented. They are very thin sheets and flex a lot. Don't sweat it.
My dad has the same style bed cover on his truck and him and I don't really care for it. I'm no sure if it is different on yours but when the cover is all the way up to the glass, the ends of the cover rides on the paint around the glass. He has only drove it like that a few times and it has already rubbed through the paint. It does have rubber on it to prevent it from happening but it still does. And over time the cover has trouble latching down and also unlatching. His cover is nearly 10 years old but those issues happened about a year after installing it. So hopefully the design has improved since! I would hate to see that happen to the paint on such a nice truck
For the gas cap. It does have a clip but its for the cable that holds the gas cap. You just hook the cable on it. Not sure if it will completely keep it from touching the paint but it should help.
The swirls are most likely from the use of a sponge (it looked like you used that, and that's sacrilege). And not rinsing the majority of the dirt of before the foaming. You live, and you learn. Love the videoes!
For the gas cap solution find small powerful magnets and put one on the cap and one on the fuel door. Using whatever adhesive youre comfortable with. Love the vids btw 👌
Adam LZ, the dents and wrinkles in the trailer are normal. The thin panels get flexed from the wind when you are driving down the road. I followed my Dad down the road when he was pulling his box trailer and you could see the sides moving in the wind. I know that other youtubers will say I am wrong but I followed my Dad quite a few times with his trailer and you could see the side panels moving around in the wind every time. And I agree, it makes the trailer look awful.
adam if you don't wan water and dust getting into the bed you need to seal the stake pockets and seal along the edges of the tailgate where they meet the bed, I have had that type of bed cover and dust will come up under the tailgate, which I found out when driving in a snow storm and everything at the back of the bed was covered in snow.
A lot of people in Ga. are painting their cars with a rough black primer. So easy to repaint if it gets scratched. And, I highly recommend buying Turtlewax Ice Spray. It waxes your car so fast with no white residue. And, for water spots you need to get one of those rubber blades. They are really cool. Car dries instantly.
Adam thank you for buying American and buying a union made vehicle! I work at the Ford plant here in Kansas City. I know my union brothersand sisters appreciate it.
On the topic of replacing aluminum panels it depends on the bonding agent used in the manufacturing process of your trailer. And yes if you wanted a trailer to look nice long term ... after using it a few thousand miles, never should have gone with black almost anything will hold up better. Also Iv got many miles of trucking behind me in regards to the trailer swaying don't ever try to correct it you will always only make it worse. Just try to keep the wheel as straight as possible, sometimes a tap on the brakes for a short distance will help smooth it out as well.
That's my dilemma with washing my cars in the summer here in Arizona... it's going to be 115ºF next week. Even if you store your car in the shade the paint is still crazy hot so everything evaporates.
Adam, the big hole in the arm rest is like a mini refrigirator, we had it in a chrysler grand cherocke, we put some drinks in it, beacause it's big dark box and it keeps cold in it.
Hey man not trying to be mean but it is a truck so a couple dents and stuff like that shouldn't be that big of a deal. I do respect you care for the car but where's live if their isn't dirt on you car it's kind of rare so...
Exactly, Instead of buying second hand and learning just goes straight in and complains the shit out of everything! someone isnt very grateful for what he has. i wish i had time to do my own things, instead of working 70+ hour weeks and still not having a pot to piss in to support my family.
easy tip: when your car has been sitting in the sun, rinse it with cold water for a while as it cools down the panels so it gives you more time to rinse off.
Had the same cover. 1st one had to be replaced it was too long. Then it was annoying to have to open the last flap to close the tailgate every time. Now I only use soft roll up covers.
Adam if you don't want to get into the bed of the truck every time to open it you could just walk on the side and pulling farther down on the latch will open it
There is a little hook on the arm that connects the gas door to the body...you can hang the plastic wire there and the cap will just hang there with out hitting the body.... the hook is near the circle that has the wire ....sorry hard for me to pin point it lol hope it helps

That hook in the gas door is exactly where you hang the cap
Yuppie adam
Orion Moreno adam isn't a yuppie for that its something that ford should make more obvious because it looks like it serves no purpose until you put the cap on there so adam isn't at fault, ford is
Darrell Pretlow it was a joke chill out. Didnt you hear him call himself a yuppie in the video lmao
Smh he needs people to explain everything to him
It's obvious enough he almost immediately figured it out after a few fillups.
this is literally the *ONLY* vlog channel i like watching.
That hook on the gas cap cover is literally for holding the cap away from the car.
I love that cover... I have one for my truck and it's held up to two years of abuse! I'm sure you'll love it over time
I love these truck videos. Keep them coming.
Hey Adam just a small detailing tip when you're using a sponge (best to use a microfibre wash mitt because it traps dirt instead of dragging it around your paint like a sponge) don't go in small circles ! J Mata nigga seats
Jeff Anderson would you mind explaining your statement?
CannedPakes I said explain not rephrase lol
J Mata people started laying seats down like that so they could do drivebys and be hiden and have a less chance of being hit themselves, wouldent make sense if you called them "white boy seats"
Jeff Anderson Obviously not, seems like your mad for me asking for an explanation lol

Adam, there is a gas cap hanger on the gas cap you just have to clip it on the edge horizontally.
You can move the outside mirrors on the truck for even more light. You can also angle them slightly to point at what you want easier.
Obsessed garage is probably shaking his head so much at your car wash.

Ya could maybe have it buffed and have paint protection film (self leveling) applied to the sides of the trailer to help prevent the scratches. Would be costly but worth it on black if you plan on keeping. Very nice set up!!
wrap that trailer if u dont want scratches :D
Chaack i was thinking of that too
He should wrap the truck and trailer with LZ MFG.
Chaack then he will waste a couple grand on a wrap which will then get scratched
SkullCrusher 762 better than the paint getting scratched and we all know money isn't a problem for Adam
Wrapping it would make it a big targets for thieves compared to the less distinctive black
I have the exact same bed cover but got it with a used truck so I had no idea what the rods were for or anything. Thank god for that part of the video.
You should have bought a rolling bed cover, they're MUCH better
DatsunDriver I just took mine to the dump it takes up to much space and the lock always freezes and jams
@blake m, that's weird, the one I've used works flawlessly.
DatsunDriver no way. Camper shells or nothing haha
You can always take out the rolling bed cover if needs be
Google "Peragon bed cover"
3:22 "Dude you probably just dented it" lmfao can we all just take a moment to appreciate Nicole in these vlogs??
Dear Adam: Trucks and trailers are supposed to be scuffed up and used. You'll be alright.
j0m017 I couldn't agree more. The reason he bought the truck and trailer was so that he could haul his cars around. He didn't buy them to look at.
Then he shouldn't complain about it then! Black anything shows EVERYTHING, so if you get something to use and worried about image stay away from dark colors especially black.

put a 2jz in a golf cart
Imnotyourdaddy yeah 2j the crazy cart
Wtf, the power to weight ratio would be out of this world
you gotta have a wheelie bar .....
You would have to figure out how to put it on and then you have to distribute the weight.
Imnotyourdaddy before calling someone retarded look at your comment. :)
Adam, there's a little tab that you hook the cap's plastic tether to on the inside of the fuel door. That keeps the fuel cap off the paint. It's tiny and doesn't hold the cap itself. Easy to miss, but it's there.
Good job using metal tools and leaving a beautiful gash in your Brand-Spankin'-New truck Adam, 6:38.
Simply bespoke handi-work there my dude.
Really makes the car 'unique'
Yeah, at least its aluminum so it wont rust
So many functions in your truck!!!
It is the most favorite color!
Stop complaining about dents, it's a damn truck and trailer
John Aavang yeah for over 100k I'd want my shit perfect silly human

I value my truck more than my car..

wrap the truck and trailer in an Adaml LZ design
Yesssss
Francisco Costa That would be a sick way to advertise and do it in style
Francisco Costa lol he doesn't want that much attention
You can hang the fuel cap like you did or the edge of the cap hangs on the little hook. The trailer panels will always look dented. They are very thin sheets and flex a lot. Don't sweat it.
whats this quality

De-chrome the F250 and get black rims!

Never mind should have kept on watching lol.
I love the truck 🖒
on the gas door hinge is a hook you hook the line of the gas cap to so it keeps it off the paint
are you ever happy ?
That's my dream truck. down to the color! congrats young man.
Adam isn't pleased with anything he just bought
exactly it was really pisses me off how he has all this money and bitches about everything
once a pussy always a pussy
Lmao I think the "all this money" part bothers you the most 😂
Well when you spent SO MUCH MONEY on things then you kinda want them to be perfect you know. 80,000$ fuckin truck better be perfect
The swirls are most likely from the use of a sponge (it looked like you used that, and that's sacrilege). And not rinsing the majority of the dirt of before the foaming. You live, and you learn. Love the videoes!
yo adam wrap the trailer with adam lz and then the dents will blend better and free advertiseing
wrap will be cheaper and you can change it when you want
Wide body the truck?.. oops wrong channel
John Bayson cant forget to bag it too
The gas cap tether hangs on the little hook on the fuel door hinge. It keeps it up enough that it will not hit the body.
WASH AND DRY IN STRAIGHT LINES NOT CIRCLES
For the gas cap solution find small powerful magnets and put one on the cap and one on the fuel door. Using whatever adhesive youre comfortable with. Love the vids btw 👌

Wrap lz mfg on the side of the trailer
rinse, wheel soap, body soap, rinse, debug spray/clear coat, rinse, squeegee, dry cloths
Adam thank you for buying American and buying a union made vehicle! I work at the Ford plant here in Kansas City. I know my union brothersand sisters appreciate it.
ian hussell ayyy I got a truck from the Kansas city truck plant
two actually
well I hope you've enjoyed them both of parents currently have vehicles built at this plant
FUCC FORD GO CHEVY !
I prefer a company who didn't need a government bailout...but hey that's just me lol
adam the gas cap lanyard hangs on that little hook like you figured out!!!
"You don't tow this with your BMW?" ..... wtf ... lmao
On the topic of replacing aluminum panels it depends on the bonding agent used in the manufacturing process of your trailer. The panels are cheap, but if they are secured with 3m tape or some types of epoxy, you run the risk of damaging your steel sub structure. Do you research before hand as it can get expensive very quickly.
That bed cover cost as much as my perfectly functional turbo car..
Wrathborn771 functioning for now...
for the fuel cap--put a small bit of valcro kn the top of the cap then onto the actually side of your lid
For all those talking crap about his truck, u know nothing about a 6.7 powerstroke.
Bradley Dayberry ford trucks are #1
Hey Adam,The panel on your trailer isn't toast the thin aluminum (especially black) will quickly warp because of expansion from the sun shining on it.
His last bmx video was 4 months ago
Cool thing about the new f250s, the cylinder heads are reverse flow so it exhausts where the intake would go.
that ain't no foam
For the fuel cap on the arm that hinges the fuel door you see a clip sticking out. You put the plastic string on that and it holds it up.
I'm guessing he gave up on BMX ?
Royal Fitment Photography Yeah i agree , he's turning into a car geek
Adam there's a little square notch on the gas door hinge to hang the cap on
Adam you need to rinse the car first then foam it.
That's my dilemma with washing my cars in the summer here in Arizona... it's going to be 115ºF next week. Even if you store your car in the shade the paint is still crazy hot so everything evaporates.
SALE THE MINI COOPER AND THE MIATA AND BUY A NICE CAR ...AND WRAP THE TRAILER TO YOUR LOGO 💪💪💪👌👌👌...
I do respect you care for the car but where's live if their isn't dirt on you car it's kind of rare so...
just a tip, if you drive dusty gravel or dirt roads, fold up the cover first otherwise your bed will fill with dust. Just in case you didn't know :)
Adam mom smokes go to 1:09 On vid 👀👀
Harrison Day so what?
and???? dont judge you freak
Harrison Day So does Adam bro. You can see his pack of cigarettes/lighters/and ash tray in a few videos around their house.
Anti Hero WAIT WHAT WHERE
Anti Hero liar
Im pretty sure you can buy ( or even make ) a little rubber flap that falls out so when you have the diesel cap it can rest on that
Adam STOP complaining u complain so much
kyler Graziano you are complaining
kyler Graziano i mean if i spend 1000 on a bed cover, that i could have built, i expect a well built thing
kyler Graziano you're acting like you wouldn't complain if you bought something new that already had dents in it. stfu
Exactly, Instead of buying second hand and learning just goes straight in and complains the shit out of everything!
someone isnt very grateful for what he has. i wish i had time to do my own things, instead of working 70+ hour weeks and still not having a pot to piss in to support my family.
SuPrAmAd101 do you make like, 9 bucks an hour?
easy tip: when your car has been sitting in the sun, rinse it with cold water for a while as it cools down the panels so it gives you more time to rinse off.
Your ego makes you 199lbs.
LOL
There is a place to hang your gas cap. There is a little hook by the top of your fuel door to put the cable in and it won't hit your paint
360p life
The little clip on the arm that extends the gas cap cover, wedge the little string holding the cap in it
It's not a real f250 if it ain't got the big box.
also you might want to look into air bag suspension for the rear to level the truck when you are hooked up to the trailer.
They are made to get dirty
Had the same cover. 1st one had to be replaced it was too long. Then it was annoying to have to open the last flap to close the tailgate every time. Now I only use soft roll up covers.
Adam the little thingy to hold the diesel cap is on the hinge it's like half an inch way from the cap screw
Adam if you don't want to get into the bed of the truck every time to open it you could just walk on the side and pulling farther down on the latch will open it
The gas cap string is meant to hang onto that little clip that you found. My friends truck has that, it's just not plastic lol and his is only lariat.
There is a little hook on the arm that connects the gas door to the body...you can hang the plastic wire there and the cap will just hang there with out hitting the body.... the hook is near the circle that has the wire ....sorry hard for me to pin point it lol hope it helps
+ Adam LZ Velcro, holds the cap perfect and no drilling or anything needed. Fast and easy to put on and replace too.
