They should start writing citations for littering, loitering, and camping in public places.. the ones that aren't there wouldn't get the citation but all their stuff gets taken away.

Just plant some prickly bushes in these barren spots, then it won't be as easy for them to put their crap in them.

Just rolled up barbed wire. They will destroy any living thing you plant.

I think the homeless can take their stuff when crews arrive but have to clean the rest up and put it in the garbage truck. Thats how they do it on hoarders, show them what a mess they are making and having them clean it up helps them to realize they may not want to pick up so much useless garbage.

Saw that $150,000/175,000 Black Mercedes Benz G wagon parked right there. Talk about a strong visual contrast with that environment! To park that kind of car there too. Better have really good insurance.

Who knows the answer? Maybe smaller crews & daily checks on everything they already cleaned? What they are doing obviously isn’t working.

how about the government build some homes for them to live in? has that ever occurred to you? instead of pissing away money in Ukraine, Israel and bases all over the world?

Having watch these for over a year now, it definitely seems like they’re getting fewer encampments. I do think they need to enforce the new law or they can commit people to treatment for mental and/or addiction. I think there’s a couple of things they have to iron out but that will probably move things in the right direction. Easily 85% have drug and/or serious mental conditions. Languishing on the streets serves no one. And if it means involuntary commitment, and/or treatment, I think it’s something that needs to be done.

    • @1RebelDog1
      @1RebelDog1 Рік тому

most of the people in these comments would rather just kill them, as they are lazy drug addicts, they should find them a home before doing this too them, maybe make some homes instead of sending billions to ukraine? just a thought...

Letting someone who is incapable of caring for themselves to live on the streets is cruel.

They’re obviously tweaker junkies, & this is the way they want it.
They have done this to themselves, so they can keep shooting the hard drugs & digging in dumpsters.
You don’t have to feel sorry for them, the only thing they’ll accept from anyone, is $, drugs & user prostitute services in trade for drugs/$.

The alternative would be to lock them up in mental institutions. Put them in a shelter or some housing and they will wander back to the streets.

It is not against the law to be mentally ill. When illegal drugs are involved then the law can step in.

The issue here too is that all that they are doing really is shifting their locations. They make them move but then they just go to another location for awhile until this happens at that location. It’s a constant game of chess! Always. So then how does this really address the real issue?! The root of the problem. Just a circle. Always a circle.

What I can’t understand is why they don’t MAKE THESE SUPPOSED “grownups” CLEAN UP THEIR OWN MESSES DAILY ! No arguments; no complaining; no doddleing; or OUT IMMEDIATELY. NO SECOND AND THIRD WARNINGS AND CHANCES…..

I'm so glad Karen Bass hired her "CZAR/CEO of Homelessness" being paid a base salary of $430,000 plus benefits, travel, special retirement and medical. So, we the taxpayers get to pay for that as well as the constant cleaning while the problem just gets worse. That bus has been there for months. There could be a dozen dead bodies in their.

If this is how they trash the parks and sidewalks, what landlord would be willing to rent to the homeless? Landlords are in a no win situation, paying taxes and then footing the bill for possibly no rent payments and a trashed property.

Omg...reading the comments about how cruel it is to take these peoples homes is ridiculous. What's cruel is normal people trying to go to work and having to deal with garbage everywhere including piles of poop. These people can be dangerous and abusive. They also vandalize the property and force businesses to close down due to lack or business or stealing. That's more people out of work. Tourists dont want to visit because its sketchy. So now the city has less revenue. The list goes on and on....oh, but they're so mean!!

The absolute toughest of tough love. Have every institution possible ready for that hand-up, treatment, institutionalization, whatever they need. But until and unless they willingly leave the streets, no help whatsoever. It's high time that we stop throwing good money after bad. I'm sure some serious legal reform is part of all this.
That means no free tents/blankets. That means no free clothes or anything else, they are on their own. Maybe even stop feeding them. And do whatever is needed to discourage the bleeding-hearts to stop as well, which is just enabling this dangerous lifestyle. They and only they can make that decision, and until they hit the absolute rock bottom, there's no amount of money in the world that can help them.
