I remmember when I started dive gates were the worst, like I wanted to go slowly but if you go slow you cannot look down and see the gate, and also situational awareness when you are a noob is trash which also doesnt help at all if you are doing them like that. Some day it just clicked and they werent a problem anymore. I think the best way to learn them is aproaching them exactly like a split S but Im not 100% sure here

Yes. In some dive gates it may be done as a split-s (this is more for racing purposes) but not with all the gates. One is made just through and one is a gravity gate
put cloth around to deaden the sound like hang up a towel I saw a guy do it on his channel he make them look like paintings. just pinned them to squares and hung them around
