Yea after all these years it’s really fun seeing all these “sleeper” dragon age fans kinda wake up and get excited for the veil guard after so long! If you are interested in some lore videos, then GhilDirthalen is your gal, her UA-cam videos are super helpful and to the point. If you guys are interested on lore videos that could help you better prepare for The Veilguard, then I reccomend her video on Solas, the elven gods, Mythal, and the Inquistor/Herald of anadraste. Hope it helps!
Thirdly, I would also add lore video the Morrigan from Origins just because she’s so badass, if Ken played origins then I have no doubts he liked her :)
I would also recommend the videos of the channel Lore University, although his Dragon Age videos are much more extensive and broad when it comes to the lore. Still…. Very much worth to check out.
hear me out, Replay the games but with Bethany making the story choices since she has not played a Dragon Age game before, would take awhile to get through but ide watch that.
That might be the way to go! Plus I’ve never played the dlc. I played these games where GameStop had a policy of taking returns within 7 days so I’d play a game, beat it and return it 😂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames literally me as well xD, Ive played the games years ago and had no dlc but only about a year ish ago replayed them with the dlc. had alot of fun with em. Hope you both do too!
There are so many people, mostly origin fans, hated on this game but I just want to let you know that I, as a inquisition fan, very excited for the game da games, and with all the information, I very much like it so far. It’s been 6-7 years for me of waiting.
You should def replay Inquisition (and trespasser dlc) before this one comes out so she can be up to date!(and romance Solas, the 'villain' in the trailer. its not only a great story it gives you a lot of context for him. but then also react to the version of scenes with very low approval/friendship with Solas. there is a bonus version of a trespasser scene if you have low approval + punched him in the main game, its hilarious!) Love that egg(solas, bald head nerd) he is extremely nuanced! i think she will really enjoy his story if yall dove into it. Love the positivity, yall are always great to tune into with for a reaction. :) (i tried to be spoiler light since one of yall has not played them, bonus of Solas romance is that it is a 'chaste' romance so you won't have to edit/censor naughty scenes.)
Oooh, this is such a unique opportunity to have a Dragon Age first-timer do a blind playthrough of the games! I'd give an arm and a leg to be able to play Dragon Age for the first time all over again. Especially without having to wait 2-10 years between games!
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames If she does play them, make sure she doesn't play a mage in DA2 so she can have Bethany in the party! Bethany > Carver anyway.
You can't control your companions anymore. You can only occasionally use abilities that the companions have. If you have played Mass Effect, the system is like that. Hard to say whether this will be a good change or not.
While I agree with your sentiment, most would say you 'controlled' (commanded) your companions in Mass Effect, as you could tell them where to move and when to activate chosen abilities. We have yet to see if Veilguard has options to not just move companions, but set them in offensive/defensive/etc states. If that sort of tactical choice still exists, with encounters that encourage it, you're 'only' losing direct instead of indirect control. You still get them to do the things you want them to do, but the focus is clearly shifted to the PC.
Thanks for the heads up. I like the control and more tactical approach. Sure it took me 5 hours for every battle but it was fun haha. Haven’t played Mass Effect so don’t know how I will like the change 🤔

If you think Dragon Age was never an ARPG then you haven´t played the games at all. Yes DAO has been more strategic but DA2 and DAI have been full on ARPG. They only put in the tactic mode in DAI because of the Origin fanbase
@@InqusitorAdaar I've played the games. DA2 went a bit more aRPG, but it was mainly a tactical party based RPG. If you think otherwise, you were playing it stupidly.
Hey Guys! The new smt game just released! It’s called shin megami tensei 5 vengeance, it’s by the same creators as persona, maybe some trailer reactions?
Hey there, ve'been watching you for quiet a while. Great video as usual! Also, i've seen a video that lasts almost 2 hours(!!) about lore of Dragon Age world before games, figured it would be awesome if you could react to it one day. Btw it's by Wizards and Wariors channel.
I'm kinda bouncing between excitement and disappointment, lol. The first trailer was way too lax and jokey for me, and the visuals looked really cartoony. Gameplay trailer was a lot better, but I'm not happy about the gameplay changes. I found Inquisition's combat to be a welcome departure from the Origins/DA2 combat, despite needing tuning. Veilguard simplifying that even further is a negative in my book. All in all I remain skeptical, but optimistic.
I'm a huge Dragon Age fan and when I first saw the reveal trailer my heart dropped. The tone just isn't right. Thankfully the gameplay looks a lot better. I'll just have to see when the game comes out.
Literally every cinematic trailer in the dragon age franchise has been like this, people don’t like it either for the tone or the music choice but always forget that they are simply a presentation.
A lot of skepticism around this one especially given the behind the scenes development troubles that mean that work on this game was rebooted once or more times AND the fact that overtime the Dragon Age IP has become pretty unrecognizable. I was a huge Origins + Awakening fan and it's been ten years since Inquisition and I just don't know. Though I'd def be down to watch a replay of the series for Bethany's eyes, Origins is an all time classic, DA 2 had some sketchy decisions but excellent art direction and tried to do something fresh by not telling a sweeping epic and instead having you play as a refugee slowly building your legend in a more grounded setting (all the props for that, despite the issues the game had) and Inquisition was a vibe, not my favorite but not bad. Just feel the IP has lost itself overtime is all.
Decline? Soz but DA:O has aged like milk and even when it came out it was very meh, DA:I is by far the best in the series in my opinion. I've played and beat them all and I'm extremely excited for DA:TV, action RPGs are far superior to tactical RPGs in every way
@haidonhargraves7660 you are definitely in the vast minority with that assessment. At this point Bioware isn't even the same company it was when they made masterpieces like DA:O and the Mass Effect series.
@@digitalcabbage910well… I’m not gonna say that ARPGs are better than CRPGs or vice versa…. But what I will say is that the Dragon Age series has always gone in the direction of becoming a ARPG.
