I've bought a lot from both shops and haven't had any problems. Sometimes the things are with you after just 10 minutes.
Isn’t there some issue with gifting that owner when “gift” you ship can at any time report that to cig and withdraw his “gift”. Like a year after make report and withdraw all . I hear something like that I not check that so take that with grain of salt 🤔
Never heard of that, I think once you gift it it is done.
If you gift an item you will have the ability to withdraw the gift until the receiving party claims it. Once the receiving party claims the gift in the email, you can no longer take it back. So yes I suppose if someone wants to be dishonest that could happen, thus why CIG wants nothing to do with the grey market legally. If you use sites like this you're pretty safe and if you pay attention to eBay sellers feedback you'll see which sellers are trustworthy. There are several sellers with a high number of positive feedback that can be trusted for the grey market. Biggest thing CIG is against is the aUEC exploit sellers. Predominantly from China these sellers exploit the games weaknesses and sell the currency for profit. That will get a ban when caught and is a violation of CIG TOS. Grey market trading is normal however and simply up to you to determine the trust level.
Good advice, always an interesting topic
Thank you so much for this video., o7
I used eBay for a few ships and didn’t have any issues. Looks like these sites have less risk
I have used Star Hangar in the past and have had no issues at all. It's cheaper than RSI and a way to get ships that are not available. I upgraded my Vulture to a Reclaimer for $155 and now I can get the XL hangar when 3.24 goes live. Are you worried about getting banned by using these "grey" markets? I am thinking that since its a gift and gifts are allowed maybe the risk is low?
Nah, website operate for years. Maybe if you do something illegal, but gifts are allowed.
They cant technically ban you as they just show as gifts on the RSI website, they have no way of knowing that you purchased it outside of the RSI store.
Star Hangar has been pretty good for me aswell, not any issues, just takes a bit to get the gift sent over.
I've used Reddit (which has a reputation system built in) for years, 24+ trades. 0 issues. Start small, $5 paints and CCUs, then go bigger if you want to. Store credit at 40% off ships 50% off.
CIG knows about the grey market and is not opposed to it. However they do mention they're not responsible if you lose money since you're trusting other people and sites so they wont recommend you do it. They do mention it and speak about it on the RSI website.
UPAGRADED😂😂😂
I would encourage you to edit your video and remove the line “they are both perfectly safe”. Any grey market transaction involves risk, as the original owner can request that CIG cancel items being transferred off their account due to fraud. Grey market is, fundamentally, pay your money and hope it works - if it dies not, CIG will not assist. Also useful to note the “black market” where entire accounts are traded is contrary to games the terms of service, so is significantly more risky.
@@llillian4055 For me they where perfectly safe, but I said that doesn't have to be true for everyone and to proceed on own risk. o7
This is the reason the game is full of bugs that won’t be fixed, people is expending real money on broken and nerfed things…
And yet the game offers a lot of fun, especially in a team (for me). Yes, there are moments that are very annoying, but I still enjoy playing it.
Without this and the purchasing of ships the game would already be history and gone. So its a catch 22....
$700 million aint enough? 😂😂😂
