Hmmmm.... Well I would actually do the research.... Kittl will actually give you more than just designs. It's a whole design app. So if you like the kinds of templates they have I would say Kittl is a better value.
This is very helpful. Thank you! A question for you. I believe we need to save final image as sRGB PNG. Do you save/export your final images as sRGB PNG in Affinity Designer? Or open the images in raster graphic editor like Photoshop and save/export?
Yes I do! I save it as a transparent PNG

I use Printify but I don’t do polo shirts so I don’t know if they have that. I would guess they do because they have a ton of products

Would you recommend learning the ropes of Affinity Designer 2 on a desktop or iPad for a beginner? Any courses/tutorials on that?
I grew up with desktop apps so I'm more familiar with it... If you are more use to iPad apps then I would do it that way

Juna, this is AMAZING, yet another incredible video tutorial from you (I've been binging!). This is the type of detailed work I want to do for my shop designs, but find that so many people are just plopping designs "as is" on t-shirts and getting sales, so I've felt discouraged to do this.
Do you find that taking these extra steps pay off in the long run in terms of sales?
I come from a Graphic Design background myself, so this method makes SO much more sense to me.

Thanks for your design tutorials. Do we need to change the ai artwork from RGB to CMYK in photopea before uploading to our print provider?
Kind of..... If you save it as an PNG it will automatically become a RGB file... but I would create your designs in CMYK before saving.
Ok, thanks for the reply. So if I start a new project in photopea and put it in CMYK in the beginning then open my ai generated sticker, I should be fine making my design, saving it as a png for my print provider. Sorry I’m a newbie at all of this but I’ve been following you for a while. 😎👍

If you get the Logitech MX Master 3, you get a horizontal scroll wheel that works in Designer. You can scroll around with the wheels, it's much faster.
I do have that but the horizontal scroll wheel is hit and miss so I forget to use it... Thanks for the reminder

For the ones like me who are not so good in Ai, would you recommend to export the sticker (from Ai) and finalize the design/logo in Kittl?
That could work. If you are going to do it in Kittl you could just use Kittl’s AI and save a step

Can i use DALLE-3 by Microsoft bing for POD, ive seen on the Internet that they do not allow for commercial use, but when i read through all they terms it doesnt say you cant "use it commercially" i literally just created a design using the bing version so i dont know if i should upload oh not.
you can't, you need chatGPT plus
It's hard to know.... it's definitely safer using ChatGPT that you pay for.

Thanks for the great tutorial! I'm wondering how you get such "on point" artwork from AI prompts. I'm using Leonardo and I always get a lot of extra artifacts that I don't want from my prompts. Example: If I were to prompt for two ducks fist bumping, cartoon style. I'd get something like the ducks fist bumping with hats and clothing on standing in front of a pond with added elements that are not necessary. How do you get such a precise image? or do I need to get ChatGPT 4 with the sticker whiz GPT to get those results?
Yeah... I think it's just ChatGPT... it's kind of doing the work for me... my prompts are super simple and the results look great

I got lost @ 8:06 the SVG file was opened into Affinity Designer Software, dragging it into the artboard will look weird. This little segment threw me off badly, I had to turn the CC caption to read the "artboard". I could not hear the pronounciation of ARTBOARD. Be aware that not all sellers use illustrator or photoshop or canva and kittl. I use inkscape for vector and Paintshop Pro for photo editing neither of these later apps have artboard, if they do the name is different. But the video still good to grab the concept of processing for the final product for listing.

Well Affinity Designer is a one time fee... like $70.... ChatGPT is monthly $20/month.... Vectorizer.AI used to be FREE but now it's $10/month but I haven't started a subscription for it yet

I think if you are trying to build a brand it is important to have the same style but in the beginning you may not know what style will work so you may have to try a bunch to figure what style is the best

Why didn't you make the image as 300 dpi and cmyk color space?
If the image is a vector at 4500x5400 it already has the right dpi.... I am using the CMYK color space but when you save it, it will be a PNG that is in the RGB colorspace.

There are no copyrights.... unless you are creating AI images of copyrighted things like famous people or Marvel or Disney, etc. Stay away from those

Vectorizer is FREE.... The ChatGPT I'm using is paid but there are other AI apps like Leonardo and Ideogram that are FREE..... Affinity Designer is paid but Inkscape or Figma is FREE

You don't need to buy a Merch by Amazon account you can just apply, there is a slight chance you could get in.... I still think TeePublic is a great choice for t-shirt designers

For copyright purposes, since you have edited the images after ai generation, can you now copyright them?
If you added text or other graphics to them you can “copyright” your design but not the original graphic

I am using a paid version of ChatGPT
So to take designs from Leonardo to a coffee mug or T-shirt, we need to use software like AffinityPhoto, right? Canva, Kittl or Creative Fabrica will not work, correct? Seems like there's always another piece of the puzzle missing. That's hard on a 66 year old fart trying to make a buck, but really enjoy your videos.
Actually you need more than that.... if you are upscaling you will need something like DGB.lol, then you will need to remove the background. You could remove the background with AffinityPhoto or Canva or Kittl.... if you are vectorizing instead of upscaling then you would need a vectorizing tool like Vectorizer.ai or something similar then you could use a vector graphic app like Affinity Designer, Illustrator or something similar.
