So sick. My God what a good battle. Takeaways from it: The biggest thing for me was how hype the crowd was getting for Delanotche. Why? Because of her movement. She wasn't flying around doing shit for the sake of doing shit and the people were feeling it. That speaks volumes for their ability to understand what she was doing. I appreciate that. I would also hope for more of that from the audiences in the future. I like how she can do some of that wild nonsense as indicated by her handstand at the end. She chooses not to which makes her stand out for me even more. Evion's choice of response to me seemed specific. His style of response seemed to mirror what Delanotche was doing which I thought was awesome. It really was. He can do footwork amongst other things but to me he played into Delanotche's style and had a broad response. None of that few seconds and he's out. He would move away from it at the end which was cool with me. His point was made. This all a reflexive response to the battle. Maybe after a few more watches I'll think something different. Also I would tie and hope for a fourth battle.
I see your point metal but you also have to keep in mind versatility and not to take anything away from delanoche I think she did pretty good but the thing with her is that she's always moving in the same pattern slow motion smooth flexible type of movements no matter what type of track is on and although it's kind of a cheat code cause her musicality and that style makes her look attractive on most tracks it could get boring the more rounds you have in a battle cause you basically watching the same thing over and over just a different track by each round and that's why I think Evion wins because not only his rounds were as solid as hers but he was more versatile and willing to take a risk and do different things in his rounds not just one pattern and I feel like when you have a dancer that's capable of doing everything you can do and a lot more that you can't!. it should be pretty settled.
This is such an L take, evion dances the same to every track as well. Every dancer dances the same style, if you objectively look at evion even his " range and versatility " is the same. I've literally never seen any dancer showcase " different " flexibility, versatility, and range that makes them look like a whole different dancer each round. If you watch dancers long enough, you'll eventually see what you've seen before. Apparently, what evion did you hadn't seen previously? The ONLY thing that changes with any dancer is timing, that's about it. I've watched countless of battles from icee, paradox, and Alex the cage. All three have range, versatility, and flexibility, but looking objectively at their movement and choices, it's foundational and structured, so it'll LOOK the same but it's NOT. YOU have to have the eyes to see the difference in something that may look the same, the dancer shouldn't have to do 500000000 different moves every single time for YOU to notice. I don't even think you niggas know what you be saying majority of the time, just typing up some crap you read off the back of a Popsicle stick.
Well, On the first watch, I had Delanotche winning. There's something about her flow, presence, and ease when dancing that makes you unable to take your eyes off her. Her style is sensual and magnetic. But on the second watch, I see why Evion took that. He plays into Delanotche's sensual and magnetic style, texture, and energy in all three rounds at the beginning of each of his rounds, then breaks out into something more creative, broad, and technically difficult while still being within the groove of the song,. That's a level above what Delanotche was presented. So Evion takes it on that basis. In all, this is one of those battles where you could swing both ways and would still be right in your judgement.
Good energy in this one I try to stay unbiased but Evion is one of my faves can't lie That said, without rewatching, I'd give round 1 to Evion. Round 2 & 3 to Dela but I can see 3 go to either, just personal preference But I could also be influenced by the crowd a lil, they seemed biased Dela from the jump for some reason
Is it me or did evion rounds feel shorter ? It feels like bro ain’t have much time to cook but the message was still received he cooked with what he had but with time alone I’d go with dela, her groove & flow was on point tho🔥.
I think Delanotche did edge this one but dayum Evion bugged out at the end. Delanotche's groove and flow is just so intense and full it's crazy. Made the heaviness of Evion's groove feel quite a bit lighter in comparison despite it still being at the highest level which is not something I'd ever think I'd say about Evion..! I Evion 1st, Delanotche 2nd & 3rd for me. And I think the tracks sorta favoured Dela in a way more so in the sense that they helped her to highlight the PRESENCE/WEIGHT of her groove which would be harder with tracks with other styles.

Ahaaaa!
Same doc same, I would have given the first two for her, Evion the third.
The way she incorporated the music in her flow is unmatched
I think people forget that the whole point of hiphop is to do it that’s why the simple stuff goes far in these battles
Evion is in my top 3. Love him.
