- And FINALLY Rockstar has given us a proper 2nd generation Eclipse in GTA Online, in the form of the Maibatsu Penumbra FF. Once I drove this car into LS Customs I knew I had to recreate Paul Walker's legendary '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse that he drove in the first FNF movie; in this video I give a detailed breakdown of all the mods you need to create the most accurate replica.

I made the mistake of not putting this earlier on in the video and I'm really sorry about that, stayed up all night recording/editing this when the update dropped and glossed over that. In the event that you bought the car in another color, the stunt jumps required to unlock the color can be completed in a decent amount of time (ua-cam.com/video/rjUngEX6P-0/v-deo.html) or you can make a Crew color that is a really close match. Sorry again that I didn't mention this earlier.

I own a,1999 eclipse. It needs a great,deal of work! It has some work done already. I just wanted to know, i definitely want to add Horse power to it. I want to keep it,and totally restore it. For those of you who don’t want to use those rims, there’s also the “Duper 7’s” in the Sport section which is very identical to the Axis Se7ens the Mitsubishi Eclipse had in the movie.
If u go to the tuner section for the rims there are the suzuki rims and that’s the exact one that Paul walker had
Mentioned this in the video at 7:00, but yeah, they are another option if you prefer 'em.

Yeah man, my goal is for people to follow along as easily as possible so I'm glad I accomplished that. Sometimes I do drag on things a bit but in my more recent builds I've made things much more concise. Appreciate your feedback dude.

I actually think the car looks more accurate to leave the suspension as stock. Because I just watched the part of the movie where he try’s to go fast. And after he spins out and then drives away. You can see it’s not lowered. And I also chose the rims 2 above what you did because I think it matches it a little bit better. But other than that. Great video

Technically this is an eclipse gsx because in game this car is awd but originally the 95 eclipse is fwd so its semi close
Yeah, if anything having a car closer to the GSX is way better performance-wise so I'm not complaining!

For the wheels I like to run track>expressway>alloys. Now if we could only get the "we hungry" livery on the first penumbra and make it topless we'd really be cookin with crisco
Yeah that's true, a lot of builds before the LS Tuners update would be a bit more accurate with some of the new Track wheels. And yeah, honestly I'm surprised Rockstar decided to make the 'We Hungry' livery in the first place - and you're right, it would've looked so much better on the old Penumbra.
Very nice build. Loved it so much i of course had to try it in-game. The "Mercie (Sport)" and "GT Chrome (High End)" wheels also look nice, but that's up to you😅

And as for the mirrors, every picture I looked at of the Eclipse in the actual movie had the mirrors painted black - there are a couple recreations out there that have them colored green but the most accurate color is black. I made both the Supra and the Eclipse in gta but it was the weird eclipse, and then I deleted it a few weeks ago and now I'm seeing they put in the actual eclipse and really regret deleting it but it's nice to know I can have the REAL one

The old penumbra had the side liveries longer, if they were longer on this one I would like it more
Yeah, I mentioned this a little bit at the end of the video but I think Rockstar was a bit lazy with the livery; it just looks like they copied it over and just scaled it down to fit the Penumbra FF. Would've been better if they just redesigned it entirely.

Facts man, after the Livery and the bumpers you'd think Rockstar would give us some better spoilers and skirts to get the best match.

Nice job, but as a fan of Paul Walker. I think Saisoku tuner wheels(20/25) is the better option for his eclipse build. You need to try it out! I personally take the chrome version.
Yeah, I considered the Saisoku wheels too but decided not to because the general shape of the wheel doesn't match up very well, they don't have much of a dish nor do they have the slightly-curved spokes like the wheels on Paul's car did.
StevieWunderKid That’s true, I prefer the Saisoku is because the spokes and size are more alike to Paul’s car. Anyway, it’s one of the options of the build just let you know 😆

The sports wheels are huge. I always preferred using Rally Masters in the Tuner section to make the tires have more side wall. Thats just me though lmao.
Im pretty sure the Rally Masters are based off Evo 9/ Hawkeye STi BBS wheels
Yeah those may have been a good option too, I chose the Uzer wheels mainly because of the curved spokes and the lip around the outside, but really it's anyone's personal preference.

For the spoiler, I feel like the carbon big wing is more accurate than the one you choose in the video. the one you choose is singular and the carbon big wing has the gap in the middle of the two wings if you get what i mean. Anyway besides that the build is great.
Thank you man - I decided against the carbon big wing because, in my opinion, it looks really awkward on the car. While the styling is similar to the actual spoiler, it still looks extremely wide and way too big for the car - looks like a time attack-style wing on steroids lol
The carbon big wing is way off.. the dimensions of that Wing is all wrong. The wing he went with is exactly like the other one the only difference is is the color and it's a single plate. The big carbon Wing is way too low and way too wide and would look extremely awkward for a replica. I don't think having a single plate throws it off as much as having a huge awkward spoiler in the back. Some of the real-life replicas of this car have single plated wings

Ay bro there’s a spoiler called big wing for the car is that not the same as the one in the film?
Nah, chose not to because in my opinion the Big Wing is waaaaayy too big and wide for this build. The multi-level design looks somewhat close but I don't think it fits the car well at all.
I mean it really comes down to personal preference to be honest

My friend has PC version with Mods and he has the REAL Eclipse in his game with Perfect paint job. It is 100% the real car from the movie. I hate we dont get mods like PC version :(

Why does nobody mention the GroundRide wheels in chrome? They look nearly exact aside from the extra spokes
It also has a really deep dish too, which is why I didn't consider them.

Got comments about this one; while the style of the spoiler is pretty close, in my opinion it's waaayyyyyy too big and doesn't fit the car well at all. The wing I chose I thought was much closer in terms of size and overall styling, but if you wanna go for the big wing feel free to.

You're probably using the old Penumbra. For this build you need the Penumbra FF.

You're totally right, even on PC with the highest texture quality these liveries have always looked so bad...who knows 😕
They are bad because they don't want to pay royalties for it, so they do a bootleg version. Just look at the Obey 8F Drafter (the BMW GTR livery from NFS Most Wanted)

This video was made before the Track wheels released, but even then those don't look like a good match at all. The style and number of spokes are totally different.

You can't find the Penumbra FF on the street, it can only be purchased. You can find the old Penumbra on the street though, I showed what that build looks like towards the end of the video.

I've been playing since 2013, maybe those three extra years of playing made the difference 😂 nah but I'm sure there's plenty of tutorials out there that will show you how to complete them!
