Bonjour, Thank you for this interesting and funny video. On the large pond where my club and I navigate, only two boats together and they also sometimes collide, perhaps a kind of magnet effect 😁 Amicalement, Raphaël
Thanks for taking the time to comment, That's why Wed/Sun are good days , more boats to ( Navigate around. ) and if we come together it's not on purpose just a senior moment.
Dear god someone needs some sailing lessons ...it's not supposed to be a contact sport !! Glad to see you still sailing guys , our club has not sailed since October before Covid > Sad , but I feel the impetus has gone .Members have moved to surface models .
Thanks for taking the time in sending your comments. the crashes you see in 3 min are over one year , the water is in great condition , it would be great if you could visit us , next time you are in southport.
Thanks for taking the time in sending your Comments, we like good and bad comments , this is the worst in Crashes over 1 year in 3 minutes . crashes are not happening everyday , if a members boat sinks we all do the best to recover and repair, its the best club in the area , and the members all have a respect for all the members boats.
Thanks for your comments , and taking the time in sending it , you will be surprized how big the pond is, you can sail all year round as the water is treated to keep weeds away. , this is one year in 3 mins so its not as mad on the average day.
Love that video. It's such a pleasantly self-deprecating examination of the small and large glitches you have to deal with sometimes in this beautiful hobby. Or how the sailors say: Worse things happen at sea... But you have to take it with some sense of humor, because our world is sad enough at the moment. By the way: Is the water tinted blue? In some shots it looks like that...
Thanks for taking the time to send in a comment, The water has Blue food dye in to stop the sunlight from bringing on weeds in the water as it cuts down the light reaching the bottom of the lake , the food dye is ok with the ducks , fish and anyone falling in as it is not poisonous . and pleased you loved the video.
Thanks for your comments , yes some boats do go fast but its due to the way it has been set up . but if the owner is happy with the speed so are we we just have fun with fast boats and slow boats , some days we don't crash , some days we do , you can sail on any day sat, mon, tue,thu and friday will be quiet .wed and sunday will be more of a challenge . I find Wed and Sunday great entertainment.
Thanks for taking the time to send your comment , this was filmed at 8 to 11 am . the late afternoon sail did go ahead but we can't remember what happened to the boats. one day we will drain the pond, and we can only guess what is down there at the present.👍
I have driven fast boats before without collision and presently driving scales boats now which is so so easy to drive. It's almost impossible to collide especially at those speeds when you have way enough time to correct mistakes. Unless there is a mechanical or electrical malfuntion. Very nice boats though.
Thanks for your comment it is true all you say , it's not as mad as it looks ,this was the crashes over the year caught on camera, think things are not as mad tp-date as I only have two crashes so far , hope the sun comes out and we have more crashes. hope ii can say that.😊👍
the pond has blue food dye added ,it is non toxic so fish are ok but the light at the bottom of pond ,due to the dye is not letting enough light for weed to grow ,that's why we are always open.
It amazes me that modellers go to the trouble of making a scale model then turn it into a speedboat when on the water.I suspect that one of the reasons is the use of brushless motors and lipo cells. They supply too much power in an uncontrolled burst rather than the more sedate old school brushed types which would literally tick over with a decent speed controller.
Thanks for taking the time to send a comment , all you say is 100% correct, its not as crazy on the average day , this was a snapshot over one year squeezed into 3 mins .
The E boat was the most guilty probably due to a narrow beam which caused it to keel over almost at 90 degrees in a turn.Perhaps you should include more of the sedate ones.....maybe not so exciting.
Thanks for taking the time to send a comment, This was a compilation of one year of accidents in 3 mins . that was two months ago , and no accidents on film so far in the past 2 months , we have had crashes but I am always looking the wrong way and have missed it.
yes the water has blue food dye in, It is safe for the ducks and fish and the odd person falling in. 'but the weeds do not like it as the light can't get to the bottom of the lake , so we don't grow and get rapped round the props
As a model boater myself I managed to put my 48 inch RAF crash tender up the bank at Wicksteed Park oval pond. Been there and done that. Wish I could still run my Lesro Rapier with Merco 61 but no ic in all areas.
Thanks for taking the time and sending your comment, this was the worst of one year in 3 mins , we only have Tea and Coffee , but the Tea and Coffee can be a bit strong some days. you will have a great time , give it a try next time you are in southport .
amazing the antics at the boating lake lol Hi from New Zealand, that made me laugh, we sail on Sunday at Hamilton North Island, here in NZ but I grew up on Mersey side and sailed all over the place, but New Brighton boaters was my local cheers....ua-cam.com/video/piUdcWS0bM0/v-deo.html
Thank you so much Stephanie for taking the time to comment , you have the Hamilton Yacht Club, it all looks great , lovely part of the world. we are all happy for you , next time you are near southport drop in and we will put the kettle on and you can have a sail , till then all the best
A pretty appalling display of ridiculously over scale speeds, a complete inability to control the models and a total lack of respect for anyone else's model.
Thanks for your comments and taking the time to sent it , we do all look after all members models that have problems ,this was one year of crashes in 3 minutes.
@@tomf4547 I don't think anyone who has spent the many hours building one would consider them a toy. Condescending comments such as yours only goes to demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of what sailing scale model boats is all about.
What’s with the car tyre squealing nose, these are boats not cars I think most of the captains need to go on a boat handling course as they kept crashing into other boats. Having seen this video, I wouldn’t go anywhere near that club 👎
Thanks for your comments it is good to get good and bad comments from people who take the time to send them , promise you would like the club we all look after each boat in the water , its just things go wrong and this was one year of crashes , a lot more missed by camera, in 3 minutes.
Thanks John for taking the time in sending your comment , we need someone like yourself to keep everyone safe by making this comment to all the tug owners, it will give joe a rest having to go in to rescue sunk boats.👍

Brilliant compilation Alan very entertaining, not sure about Joe in the waders though. 😂😂😂
Thanks good of you to send a comment, it was the sad look he had pulling out the boat that was funny to me.
Breath test all of them 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
Great little short ! Thanks .
Yobishness has even come to this gentlest of hobbies, no respect for others efforts.

Standards certainly have declined; they will never see any of my models sailing on their little puddle if this is an example of how they behave.

I put 21 turn brushed 550 motors in my Dumas models Chris Craft Commander. I prefer scale speed for boats like mine.
Breath test all of them 😂😂🤣🤣😂😂
