Just had them today for breakfast. Taste wise I would give it a solid 4 out of 5. However, the eggs never got to hydrate properly even after waiting 20mn (!) as with the 8mn recommended time, the meal was still hard to chew. Also, I used the exact amount of boiled water described in the package (155ml) and it got never absorbed but a few spoons stayed on the bag no matter what I did to help it... shame as the flavor is really there. Didn’t had any issues with Lyo Food, Real Turmat and Tactical Foodpack. The most intriguing part is that those meals use quite a bigger amount of water but I have no issues hydrating them. Any suggestions?
Hi El Diabolico, can you get in touch with me at info@expeditionfoods.com (Mary). The meal should rehydrate quickly, however, scrambled eggs is a more difficult meal to manufacture. For example, a Chicken Tikka is a very straightforward meal to rehydrate. You do not need boiled water to make the meal, actually only hot water is necessary. The meal should have been ready in less than five minutes. Can you confirm the name of the meal as we used to have a potato-based scrambled egg meal. I just want to make sure that this is our most current recipe. Thanks so much, Mary
