For some context: The Hungarian version took some artistic liberties compared to the French original (and thank the theatre gods for that). This number comes on much later in the Hungarian version than in the original. It comes on after the night of the ball where Romeo and Juliet meet (that's why the Ladies Capulet and Montague are in dressing gowns and with hair rollers). It makes much more sense narratively, it is not just two random women singing about hate between families as exposition, is two established characters interacting with each other after an important event in the plot. (Don't get me wrong, I love the original version but the Hungarian one, it has my heart).
Doesn't it come right after Romeo and Juliet got married during midnight and somehow the whole town figured it out fast and woke up the mom's with it? XD true it has been a while since I saw it.
tbh I really don't like Lady Montague's Italian voice, but everyone else did great! Hungarian is the best imo, because I like their new framing (a fight between the moms rather than a lament about how Violence is Bad) and how it makes it clear that everyone is part of the problem
Rest if the mums: enough for war Hungary:come and fight! your weak guy!my husband might want peace, but I am wide,my family are also wide, come and fight n
They really go ham at each other. Romeo's Mom calling Juliette's a whore, describing how many "bulls" she is keeping while Juliette's mom is just spiting bile and curses on Romeo's whole family xD
I suggest listening to the Italian version, which is the best in my opinion. The two singers have very different voices that mix very well, both very powerful. Clear for Lady Capulety and scratchy for Lady Montecchi. Roberta Faccani (who plays Lady Montecchi) is my favourite singer, cause she has a very versatile voice with a wonderful extension and a great technique, with deep low notes and powerful and clear high notes. This is my favourite part of the show, although the entire musical is a masterpiece. Great job in every language.
Who is the woman at 2:17 ? She is the prettiest Lady Montaigu I find and her voice is great !! The best Lady Capulet is the French who played it in 2001. => Only my opinion.
Agree, but I have to say the takarazuka's lady (bith montague and capulet) did well, takarazukacs pitch is always higher or know than the original music, which means their things are more unique and different
I didn't like the way they directed the Italian version. Although the actors did an amazing job vocally, they directed them to act like they were screaming or fighting each other when the point of the song (in my opinion) is about how they are sick of the hatred running between both families. The song is mostly a representation of how they acknowledge the destruction it brings them and it's almost an ode and a cry for it to stop. Making them sing so aggressively to each other (more than once) kind of goes against the purpose of the song, which is also to show the audience the tiredness of the people of Verone. This is why the French 2001 version is my favorite. What do you guys think?
@@marinesix860 I’m actually okay with the Hungarian version because they changed the lyrics and the moment at which the song comes on. These changes make that aggressiveness makes sense while the Italian one didn’t really make the necessary changes for it to be congruent.
Agreed in the part of vocals, very good singers all of them. In my case talking in general I think they are overplaying and screams too much just as Joy Esther in french 2010 (at least in my case I couldn't see Giulia as a tennager she looks not so old but definitelly not a teenager, around her 23 or 25 Paris even look younger than her, he actually looked like a teenager) and the choreographies are good but sometimes it feels like they doesn't fit with the music like La haine (not saying that has to be the same as french) or in Le Bal, les rois du monde and in some parts of le duel and on prie. Also le bal's dress of Juliet and Aimer's dress is idk, not pretty
The only problem of english version (lyrics) are you cannot put "the hate, the hate" in the lines of xla haine,la haine" the notes of the first 'la' dont match with "thex

+Maťo Bednár Hi, do you have any video of the song Ľúbiť? Something from the musical, in costume? Not this one : ua-cam.com/video/mdUAehOJuEs/v-deo.html

Probably because I don't think there was ever an English version of the musical in general, just selected songs to be recorded like this and Les Rois Du Monde if not solely an English album (I haven't seen any of the other songs in English yet so idk)
Hungarian version is really impressive. They did express their hatred so hard, like two tigers are about to fight
I think that the best version of "La Haine" are Italian and French 2001 because of vocal talents of singers
Некромант Киноман tank you 😘😜
Hungarian and takarazuka is not bad(they are "I will kill you that kind)
takarazuka:stop fighting!I hate it(in close to dying kind)
French & Hungarian
I'm Italian and the French 2001 is still the best version to me
The Italian has the most interesting/strongest vocals from Lady Montague and Lady Capulet but I love the staging of the Hungarian version.
I think French 2001 is the best version
it’s the original one tho...
@@ilikecats958 why would that mean it couldn't be the best?

Yes, the Hungarian version reframing of this song (and mostly, of all the show) is really SPECTACULAR. Kudos to the Hungarians!

The French Lady M from the more recent clips (not 2001) has a very similar voice IMO. I enjoy it immensly
Hungarian & Italian are gorgeous, very expressive 🤩
J'aime bien la version Italienne
Lady Capulet à une telle puissance dans sa voix!!
Chloé Poulin je suis d’accord mais elle est quand même mieux celle en français de 2001
The absolute best are Otilia Csengeri and Kata Janza. They are the best Lady Montague (Otilia) and Lady Capulet (Kata).❤❤
I agree

Только лучше Новокузнецкую версию смотреть. В московской паршиво перевели с оригинала
A 2010-es francia verzió nagyon ütős, főleg Brigitte Venditti Montague-né szerepében. Az olasz és a magyar is nagyon jó.
I love the original french version of 2001, I also watched Russian and German but now I want to watch all versions. I don't have so much time...😅

It used to be on youtube, but it got removed.
