SNSD only debuted one year before SHINee, so they were all trainees in SM around the same time. Basically grow up together since middle school. Minho was the youngest in SM before Taemin joined SM, so everyone babied him a lot. He was living out of Super Junior dorm, so they always joke that they raised him. The second generation groups are all pretty close because all the variety shows, musical shows around that time, not to mention the ones under SM (f(x), SNSD, super junior, TVXQ, and SHINee), but because of Minho's extremely warm, caring and outgoing personality this is especially true with him.
It's crazy how young they were when they started! So glad they had a work family supporting them too
There's a reason why Minho's nickname (aside from flaming charisma) is Best Boy Minho aka Choi Tenderheart. Despite his fiery, competitive characteristics, he is also such an adorable person with so so so much love to give to everyone dear to him. His two other well-know nicknames are is also:-
1. President of Shawol because of his dedication in supporting every single one of his members' activities, mostly being physically present no matter how busy he himself is. For example, he flew to Japan to surprise Teamin for his concert in Japan, flew back the same day to surprise Key for his solo showcase. He also attended Jonghyun's solo concert to surprise him after Jjong mentioned that he misses his members a lot during the solo works.
2. Hyung Collector because he is literally a baby for almost everyone older than him hahaha! You should see him especially with his Kyuline hyungs ie TVXQ Changmin and SUJU Kyuhyun. In general, SHINee is still regarded as precious babies by most senior artists in SM because they debuted so young and the seniors just have immense adoration towards all 5 of them. And doesn't help the fact that Ming keeps acting like the spoilt baby with them till today. But now he is also getting requests from the younger ones to be close to him aka NCT Doyoung who literally wrote him a secret message asking for that lol.
I've heard something like Doyoung is now an unofficial member of the Kyuline - Changmin Kyuhyun Ming & Suho. He would make a really cute addition!!
@@Julianna_w Yes he is!! He's already close to Changmin and Kyuhyun but I believe Ming was always busy when the other 3 hangs out and whenever he is with his hyungs, Doyoung wasn't around much. That's why he wants to be closer to Ming
Soooo adorable! It's such a great skill to be able to instantly have a connection with others and it's even sweeter that others just want more Minho time 😊
Minho has a very likeable personality, he likes to be around older friends mostly guys, he’s only close to SNSD and f(x) as well as Red Velvet basically only because they are under same label. He however only has 1 older brother in real life so he’s like that with SNSD as his senior sisters. With f(x) and Red Velvet as his younger sisters.
We can see that in this video for sure and we're just loving his silliness with these ladies 🥰
Minho is so cute around snsd! He is a jock but also one of the most loving people- SHINee as a whole are super supportive of hoobaes and tend to still be babied by everyone else since they debuted so young. All the sm artists in general are super close.
But in general 2nd gen idols tend be much more close across groups than now. Since there wasn’t as much groups creating their own variety content there was a lot more variety shows that would have guests/panel style idols from all different groups, like Strong Heart, Idol School, Golden Bell, even earlier Running Man episodes, etc. I know Key’s mentioned how he misses that and Beast/Highlight talked about how at music shows no idols would actually be in their dressings rooms but would all hang out together and play games together.
They don't make those kind of variety shows anymore! Those shows had a good spread of male and female idols from various labels and they weren't worried about poking fun on themselves and each other lol.
The SHINee/2PM/Highlight interaction will always be my fav. We still see Minkey hanging out with Dongwoon in I Live Alone, JunK and Gikwang hosting Idollive together, Key hosting Wooyoung in Amazing Saturday.....one thing I wish to see now is Ming going for a round of golf with Nickhun 😄
That sounds like fuuuuun, especially having co-ed panelists. We definitely would like some more interaction in-between men/women's groups...

Minho is probably the most lovable person ever. He's very "jock"-like and competitive but in an endearing way. You just can't help loving him

The agencies are like family was a very strong marketing point for 2nd gen groups... that's where company concerts started to exist. Smtown, YG family, JYP nation etc. This made 2nd gen a lot of fun... there was A LOT of interaction between groups because it was a) allowed and b) valued by fans. Now in 4th gen almost nobody interacts because of fear of backlash between fandoms.
We need more 4th gen multi-stans!

Minho is the younger of 2 boys in his family. I'd like to think that he inherited his sweet side from his mom and competitive side from his soccer coach dad lol.
I've always loved 2nd gen idols' interactions and as Key once mentioned, he's sad that such interactions hardly exist anymore these days.

Sone (GG fandom) here 🖐not sure if anyone has told you yet but Minho has met that baby again last year through GG's show, Soshi TamTam. Not gonna spoil the fun but....let's say...like father like son 😂. Im digging this crossover and hope to see more, Im currently slowly checking out into Shinee's discography so this is a good start just before their comeback.

minho is definitely girls' generation's little brother and a confirmed honorary member by taeyeon herself (she was asked which member congratulated her first in her solo comeback, and she immediately answered "choi minho" lol).. he was also the MC for their 15th anniversary comeback press con this year, and his version of their Forever 1 tiktok challenge is adorable, he's all smiley and giggly like he's so happy they are back 🥺 being a sone and shawol is always rewarding, these groups are full of amazing talents with great personalities

He is gorgeous! If you watch Hwarang, he has a great role. I saw the Running Man episode. He runs like no one I’ve ever seen. It’s not even human!
He’s also been in some of those idol Sports competitions. He is soooo competitive. In anything sports, he excels.
Was it f(x) or this group that had food delivered by Sehun when he was a trainee? The girls were on diets, so he would sneak food in for them. That sounds like something Min Ho would do.
