    I was seriously considering buying this system until I had a conversation with customer service. I asked them if filters for the pod 4 were free with autopilot membership. They confirmed yes they were and would automatically send you one ever 6 months. I then asked them what happens when you cancel your membership how much are the filters direct from them at that time. They came back and said they currently dont sell the filters with out an autopilot membership. Wait what??> A necessary maintenance item cant be purchased but you allow people to cancel their autopilot membership? Seems to me that someone in management has developed a way to ENSURE that people HAVE to keep their Pod 4 Autopilot membership always active because can you imagine how filthty and disgusting innards would be with contaminated water? Ill share the entire conversation I had with them if you want. just let me know. SUCH A SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICE bordering on the ILLEGAL!

      That's why I liked when the hub just needed distilled water and peroxide without a filter. But if there's enough demand, I bet a third-party could get involved to make one. I'm going to look into this further.

      @qwerty9567 Місяць тому

      @@camsecoreI was thinking that. Could you not still use distilled water and peroxide?

      If you use a third party product I'm sure they will void your warranty @@camsecore

    So weird - I got zero notifications you were posting again! Love your reviews!!!!!! I’m trying to find info on the ultra….wondering how effective that base is.

    • @camsecore
      @camsecore  2 місяці тому

      Sorry, I've got nothing for ya! The base features look cool, but it's not really how I'd prefer to sleep so I skipped it.

    I would love to just have a cooling sheet that adjusted to my needs for better sleep vs a fitted sheet with all these issues coming up from customers. Who wants to worry about leaking units, filling tanks, replacing filters even if there free & more than anything no one wants to pay for reoccurring subscriptions…they simply just want to pull the covers up and sleep at a comfortable temp. Definitely doesn’t seem worth spending $3,000 on

    Great video!. My wife and I are definitely considering giving the pod 4 a try. have you ever used the ultra?

    • @camsecore
      @camsecore  4 місяці тому +1

      Thanks! I don't have a mattress that's compatible with the frame, and I'm not super interested in an adjustable bed, so I skipped it. Do you currently have an adjustable bed?

    I think more needs to be said about how they have changed their warranty with membership... The Pod 3 came with a lifetime warranty with membership and the 4 only comes with a 5 year warranty. That alone makes this NOT worth upgrading

    • @camsecore
      @camsecore  3 місяці тому +1

      I remember the lifetime warranty! But as far as I know, it was only around for a few months. It's annoying that the price of their memberships and feature set is constantly changing though. It feels like they're A/B testing features/prices to see the maximum amount of money they can squeeze out of their customers without them leaving.

    Great video - qq: think a 40 lbs toddler standing/jumping on the Pod4 cover damage it?

      We're dealing with a one year old jumper and everything's been good so far! It does make me a bit nervous though.

    Hi and thx for this review. Q: It’s hard for me to organize swithcing filters every 6 months (I am living in a country where they are not delivering 8 Sleep so I will have a hussle organizing delivery for filters all the time). Is the pod3 good enough option to use and do I need any extra stuff for it once I have it (apart from subscription)?

    • @camsecore

      The Pod 3 is awesome! If you're not set on having the tappable zones on the side of the bed, it's perfect.

    My pod 2 leaked and they sent me a pod 4 replacement under warranty. I do like the pod 4, but it does feel like the temperature changes are harder to feel. I know they claim 2x cooling power, but it is a much more subtle feeling with the pod 4, which comes with improved comfort and not feeling the coils. The thermal alarm no longer wakes me up. Is that something you’ve experienced? I’m curious if I have a defective unit.

    • @camsecore
      @camsecore  3 місяці тому

      Do you use the “gradual” or “heavy” pattern for the alarm? The heavy felt about the same as previous versions in my testing, but I don’t wake up to an alarm, so I’m not the perfect judge.

    Water naturally dissolved in a closed loop system? That doesn’t make sense, can you explain?

    • @camsecore
      @camsecore  19 днів тому

      I don't know--I'm not a scientist! I just know every three months or so the tank is empty and needs more water.

    This is a good review but you have to stop upspeaking. It's a bad habit and every statement sounds like a question. There are videos on how to stop this. Good content here!
