- The T-80 is a main battle tank (MBT) that was designed in the former Soviet Union and is now manufactured in Russia. The T-80 is based on the T-64, while incorporating features from the later T-72. When it entered service in 1976, it was the second MBT in the world to be equipped with a gas turbine engine after the Swedish Strv 103 and the first to use it as a primary propulsion engine. The T-80U was last produced in a factory in Omsk, Russia, while the T-80UD and further-developed T-84 continue to be produced in Ukraine. The T-80 and its variants are in service in Belarus, Cyprus, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Russia, South Korea
The chief designer of the T-80 was the Soviet engineer Nikolay Popov.

This tank have speed 80 km/h. It can increase it on the road up to 100 km/h, but driver just can not control it on such speed.

M1 Abraham's never fought against other tanks, javelin or suicide Drones in Irak or Afghanistan they were fighting people with limitations in weaponry and even so the war took far to long and the money used there was huge. A M1 and a T90 both will be destroy by a direct hit from a Javelin or drone with antitank bombs but a M1 cos 10 million dollars while a T90M cost 4.5 M a T80 around 3 mill and a T72 2.5 M approximately and with proper upgrades it can still prove to be effective.
@@AaronreacherLMAO. you idiot, Abrams fought against T72 in Iraq during desert storm. Not a single Abrams lost by enemy fire. Hundreds of T72 destroyed. Abrams ammo is stored in separate ammo compartmemt while in T90 all the crew sits on top of ammo carousel. Thats why T90 is total crap when compared to Abrams. T90 analo govnet flies to the Moon most of the time.

@@LTUGang no. I mean in a real war there are no wonder weapons........ everything burning no matter what it is....... this war is more like the amount not the quality. If you have 100 million people, you can defeat NATO or Russia or China with rocks, sticks and molotovs..... Eveybody said that oh Bradleys will game changer.... now they are burning.... Leopards will game changer.... now they are burning US now hesitating to send Abrams because they know they will be burning too.... The Leopard 2 is 20% more effective than T-72.... it means if you stand 100 Leopard 2's against 120 T72 the chances will be equal. And in that region the tanks will be pretty usefull on those minefields.... doesnt matter their quality. The most effective weapons in this war are the drones and 155mm artillery and the troopers. Missiles, aircraft and self propelled bombs are not too much because of the heavy air defense on both sides, and the tanks because of mines and traps and from a few weeks to now because of the weather.
