Why was the narrator not present this year by the way? I missed him to be fair. It was a different setup than when I went last time. Usually you have a ceremonial opening with the whisky drinking from the quaich, at the end before the march-out the complete cast before the national anthem, and not to forget Auld Lang Syne. Did that all go away after 2019?
He stepped down after the pandemic and since 2022 nobody has replaced him. I agree it's not the same, but they now project the act on the castle wall as they come out.
@AlanHunter69 ahh what a bummer. I miss the man. He brought some extra atmosphere to the Tattoo. I hope they can manage to get another one soon. It felt so rushed this year

The show acts seem to be smaller as well, they seem to be focusing more on civilian acts rather than Military.
