I actually wanted to make louder, the music is fire in addition to some nice pseudo cold war action with way to many explosions and helicopters. Quite cinematic to be honest

A 40k event like the few that WoT has had over the years would be cool, but also very unlikely to ever happen

@@LordStrogan Especially since unlike WoT, War Thunder supports having multiple weapons, so tanks with multiple weapons or sponsons would actually work.

The Hedgie jumping and crushing tanks is like a 100kg bomb exploding i think
That seems very plausible
Because everytime i try to jump on T-55 or M60 sides it did not kill, but when i jump right next to the tank, it did (the 20mm floor of both tanks)
I remember fighting hedie in atomic heart, i was insanely underprepared but i think the music carried me through it cause at the end of the fight i had no ammo and was on 20% health, and that was on my first go
The fight was so badass
I was NOT expecting it to be as horrifyingly fast as it was. Absolutely amazing boss fight.
Laser thing was 150 SP at first, then it got changed to 1000 SP and now it's back to 150 SP.
I've grown to like the starship in this even because it's honestly hilarious just "Oh no a giant death ball... 152mm heat shell be upon ye" and they just get vaporized
These events always prove that they _could_ make WT actually fun to play, but instead choose not to.

The laser has a effective range around maybe five hundred feet and it does pretty good against balls as long as you can keep a constant lasering on them and it takes about 10 seconds of constant lasering
I want an event similar to the submarine event or something that could actually or already has happened instead of this futuristic stuff. but is it a cool event :)
It is fascinating how stupidly powerful the hedgie is
not to worry, the Hedgie can be destroyed with a well placed shot from a main battle tank, if you using the IFV you will have a problem as your shells just tickle the beast.
If you don’t manage to shoot the beast with your main battle tank hope he is bad at the game or does not see you there, since he can basically one shot any vehicle in his AOE smash.

Pro tip: Just get the T114 (or the russian equivalent) and go all the way through the right side of the C point
You'll get everyone with side/back shots and have enough spawns to get the big ball thingy 2 times right away.
I manage to complete the mission with 3 or 4 matches
WIth the IT-1 I may or may not have gotten 3000 SP from a first spawn with it, and in the same match got a total of 16 kills
I get enough points by just rushing C with either the T-55 or M60 and somehow almost always manage to get there before any enemy light tanks do and get at least 2 or 3 kills. While I slightly prefer the T-55's APFSDS, the M60's HEATFS is just fine and with how easy the stabilizer makes it to aim (outside of the event, my highest BR is 7.3), I almost always one shot everything no problem with either vehicle.
One of my favourite things is to use the Bradley or bmp main gun to take down helicopters

The repair Droid is really cool it automatically repairs when it is in range of allies and you should go back to this event they patch the music so now it's in sync to whether or not you want music it's in sync to wear your music level in your soundboard is
The laser pchtela was 150 points on launch then within 30 minutes the increased it to 1000 but its nowhere near as useful as the hedgie

Just played a couple matches of this new event, and it did not take me too long to realize that the American tanks have very little opportunity to outperform the Russian counterparts... Of the 10 matches I played, the American side did not win once. And that is just because the tank selection is incredibly imbalanced.

Yeah, its not very well polished. I got a lot of frame stutter while playing the Hedgie. Hope it doesn't spread to regular modes.

Those 40 ton rolling balls BEG for better physics, but this is probably impossible to properly implement due to inevitable lag (I am looking at you BeamNG Multiplayer).
I love how they put the T114 in if you don't buy it this is the only event I've seen so far and my time playing that you can use a premium vehicle
this event is absolute fun, and the tasks are pretty easy too, i finished the 1st task (kill 30 vehicle with the ball) on the 1st day while it has the longest duration, like its very hard to complete
gaijin needs to make more fun events beside april 1st, this would greatly increase playerbase and popularity of the game
the only thing WoT do better is it has more events in game

My very first match in this I spawned in the T-55a and didn't die for the entire match, I ended up one shotting I think 4 or 5 of those Hedgie's and I had 10 kills over all, it was only as the match was ending that I thought wait why didn't I J out and spawn as one myself i need the kills while using it.
I really want this to be here permanently.

hedge is so weird... like sometimes missiles wont even launch and will die without single kill... somtimes i will just go insane and get like 7kills
I think the missile thing is due to ping, I noticed the event has really high ping and sometimes I can't even fire my missiles while in an IT-1

How do you get the ball robot to turn while you're spinning? Mine Doesn't turn unless I transform into walking mode. To be honest the game is entirely too messed up right now to be adding these shenanigan game mode. The more crap they add the more the game doesn't work. For you new players out there that might read this play the Puma with Germany at 3.3 br Before Gaijin fixes it. APHE rounds won't fuze if the Puma is shot from the side. It would also seem that they fixed heat rounds so that they work much better but in doing so APDS and APHE aren't working correctly now with any tank. It's been ghost round after ghost round for me and no It's not my internet as my ping sits at 42 constantly.
Its left shift to roll and then the ball turns in the direction of the mouse like mouse-aim in planes.
The APHE not fusing isn't a bug, APHE has a minimum distance of armor it has to pass through to fuse and the Puma's armor isn't thick enough so the round just passes straight through
@@derpfin5145 Yep. Common in all light vehicles. Where the WT meme "no armor is best armor" comes from.
@derpfin5145 I tested it on other vehicles and they fuse but not on the puma at the same armor thickness. Not all rounds are the same but it's way off especially if you shoot it from the side. You can test it for yourself in the protection analysis which I'm staring at on my computer right now. I just shot the puma angled on the side with 31mm of protection and the round(M61) did not fuse. I'm telling you there is a bug or shit programming by Gaijin.
@obsidianjane4413 I've been playing the game for many years I know how it works. If you didn't catch my text to the other guy then let me educate you. I can shoot the Puma from the side at over 30 mm of angled protection and the round that is fused that 14 mm will not go off but If you shoot it from the front it will fuse around 20 mm. Now does that sound like a bug?

Idk why but it inverted my controls when i started the match, i love war thunder
for me this event feels very underwelming, mostly from the fact there is only really 1 robot and some funny heli drones where as back in april when this was annonced they showed off loads of different robots in a tech tree. also the fact you start as just normal tanks really pulls away from the theme of the event to me. mobile infantry pulled it off a bit better as you could spawn the infantry for free and the tanks were "unlocks" if you did well in the fight
Its an awesome event but the tanks have so many advantages if they are played right, makes it kinda pointless to spawn in the hedgie.
@@gavinlightfoot5521 also i feel that it is a bad time for it, as the mobile infantry was a good event mostly due to the crafting event and the shear amount of points you can get during it. like if they held this event off till operation summer it might have been a good way to grind the points for one of the rewards
@@nitebones1 I Completely agree, they could also use this event to introduce one of the many interesting vehicle prototypes from the 50s or 60s as the event reward
Just being able to play highish tier vehicles without having to worry about repairs costs or the grind is worth it.

Once I didn’t have any ammo left after two kills with hedgie, so I ended up killing 7 people with the slam
The little skybox arenas are not real you can fly right through them in the helicopter I tried to see if I could land on one and I went straight through it but then again this is like the first day that this was event was out so they might have updated it by now to where they are fully real like they're solid object that you can land on
I’m personally disappointed that we didn’t get all the vehicles from the loading screen like the Jets or more robots with propose like the underwhelming and annoying April Fools from this year.

Some matches are so glichy that it’s literally umplayable. Not to mention the server freezes for upto 7 seconds when the miner drone is called in. Pretty sad event

I hate the gamemode bc or the Lazer flying c*nt but i enjoyed the first few games, 30 kills is a lot when you have to kill in a specified vehicule
people have already figured out how to spam the ball mechs smh had a match where two were camping each spawn waiting till someone would spawn then dive kill them.....i will only be playing for the daily rewards lol.

What I think the stupidest thing in this event is the laser on the laser Droid jams how the freak does a laser jam I know it overheats but how does it permanently jam I mean make it to wear after a little bit it on jams come on gaijin maybe make it I have to wait like half a minute before you can reuse a laser if it jams tell people that it's unjamming so people don't have to find an enemy to kill them or crash into the ground
