@@mcknightmorgan2021 I think it’s more marvel cause I’m pretty sure I heard that marvel was strict with Capcom and they wanted more of a marvel movie feel for the game which is probably why they used more of the movie franchise characters for the game not to mention marvel is owned by Disney which probably made things even harder for Capcom
@@mcknightmorgan2021 marvel was more to blame imo, and also character feel precision and gameplay wise even alot of aesthetics wise. Infinite is a better game overall than umvc3. Umvc3 feels sloppy and unresponsive compared to umvc3. Also umvc has obnoxious bright hit sparks where infinite has a cleaner hit spark/presentation like mvc2 did

The Jump games have characters like that as well. Every Jump game has Kankichi from Kochikame mainly because he's so beloved. Ro Kyu Bu and OreImo being in this game kinda tells you how popular they are, lol.
it goes without saying i know they are limited to what they can do between budget and paying people for the rights to use content from a franchise. but...to me games like this need a lot more characters. which is why Capcom Vs SNK 2 on the PS2 is still among one of the greatest 2D fighting games ever. not only did it have a large cast of characters. each character had like 1-3 Super moves AND there were several types of "Styles" you could choose from to power up! own the original game from this series (same name without ignition) and i enjoyed it for a little while because... if you couldn't tell with my avatar. i like anime. and i enjoyed getting to play as some characters like Railgun that you don't see in many interactive experiences. but between the reasonably small playable characters and...honestly i don't enjoy this style of games as much as i used to. enjoyment faded quickly. regardless i still wanted to support it because this is the kind of thing i want to see more of in the states. anime related games.
I play the game and its really fun but i drop it in few months ago, the reason i play this game its because Shana in the game i watch her series sadly no Yuji lol but i have no knowledge about the other series like index and SAO back then and i personally hate the roster in the game its so unbalance and many fans (include me)are very upset because their favorite characters aren't playable and for me this is worst character roster i ever seen in fighting game, the game system its super easy (super easy that makes you boring), no tutorial and mechanics doesn't make any sense, which is why the game got mediocre reviews and this is my probably reason why i drop the game.

Izaya would probably have an amazing moveset, though the reason they didn't he isn't playable is because they didn't want more izaya controversy in Japan with how he a acts and all. He *is* playable in the mobile sequel to this game known as "crossing void" though.
@@MentalOutlvl6 actually he is uncomfortable in that game and its hard win using him because he has less special moves and only can do punch kick and uppercut if Touma is playable he can be one of the worst character in the game.

Like I've said before in this comment section, touma wasn't playable at the moment this game was made was because he'd be too similar to shizuo. If they make a third game, he'd be playable due to dragon mode being a new thing for him.
Touma and his power are boring as f€#@€*k he just can punch and cancel other people abilities translating that to a fighting game character would create a really boring character to play with. Accelerator should be the other Index playable character his power is badass and his personality would make some sort Iori Yagami character for this game but sadly enough he is another stupid assist even tough his assist is pretty good.
It's on the PS4. In fact it is the PS4 version that he's playing as the PS3 version doesn't have Kuroko, Emi, Qwenthur, the male MC from The Irregular at Magic Highschool, or the DLC characters. The PS4 version is Japan only, though.
