As a person who travels with kids, Topolino's breakfast was our #1. My Celiac young teen LOVED her basket of pastries and her GF waffles. My non-GF elementary child loved her paint pallet waffles. My husband and I (Me- GF) were able to get some more adult options for breakfast that were wonderful. The views were amazing and the character interactions were great. Can't wait to go back! On a side note...it would be a frigid day in Florida before I would set foot in Chef Mickey's.
Great list. We’ve never done Kona Cafe for breakfast and the Poly is our fave resort, can’t wait to try it. I am SO with Brandon being anti-shenanigans at meal time. The scowl I have at these places could curdle milk. That being said, Character Meals are different. Those are Disney Antics, way more joyful and less obnoxious.😂
Definitely let us know what you think if you go to Kona Cafe on your next trip! Brandon is glad to know he's not alone in the anti-shenanigans. Agreed that character meals are different kind of antics (and so much fun!).
Disliking early breakfasts in favor of late night gaming is a big thing in our household too (mostly me) LOL Have any game(s) in particular kept you away from early breakfasts? 😅 One of our favorites for breakfast is Whispering Canyon Cafe! Atmosphere aside (which we love btw!) it has a nice mix of classic breakfast fare and BBQ options, including their GF cornbread
Brandon will always favor late night gaming over getting up early for breakfast! 🤣 Currently, he's playing Jedi Survivor, but he could probably give you a huge list of so many games. I recently played the DLC for Alan Wake 2 (which was so good!), but I tend to not stay up super late when I'm gaming. Oh...how did I forget about the GF & allergy-friendly cornbread at Whispering Canyon Cafe!? Thanks for mentioning it!
I dream about shakalaka. Maybe I should go back to Chef Mickeys. It’s been more than a dozen years since I went for breakfast and just thought it was standard buffet fare. But I bet the kids would like it!
Same! Boma really is tops for breakfast imo! I do miss when you could get chakalaka at The Mara next door too for a more reasonably priced quick service breakfast. Chef Mickey's does definitely have a bit more standard breakfast fare, but the characters definitely made it super fun (plus, Brandon got French fries for breakfast, so you know that means he would rank it highly! 🤣)
@@FiveHungryTravelers Oh! Funnily enough, Akershus is one of the few Disney restaurants that we've never dined at! We've been hearing such great things about the breakfast there, so it sounds like we need to add this to our must go list...you had us at potatoes! 🥔
Just started watching this video. Completely agree with Sara. Boma breakfast so much better than dinner. IMHO dinner is overrated, especially with a gluten and dairy allergy!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on Boma breakfast vs dinner! I'm glad to know that I am not alone in thinking the dinner isn't as good as the breakfast!
Thank you! We're glad that you enjoyed it! In terms of overall, our favorites right now are the ones at Rosa Mexicano, because of the house-made mix that they're using. But, for restaurants that are owned by Disney, I would probably say Boma and Steakhouse 71 have been the most consistent in terms of cooking the waffles and additional sides/toppings that you can enjoy with them. 😍 For the most part, though, most Disney restaurants do use the same mix, so the flavor profile should be the same across WDW property.

That's so great to hear that your whole family enjoyed Topolino's breakfast. It is a lovely spot! And, totally fair on Chef Mickey's!
I love gluten free breakfast at Disney. Boma is my favourite but I do love garden grill and ohanas too. This time we are going to try chef Mickey’s ☺️
Garden Grill & 'Ohana are definitely great options too! Hope you enjoy Chef Mickey's when you go too! 😍 GF breakfast at Disney is the best!

We have loved Topolinos and Boma for breakfast. It sounds like we need to go to Tusker House next!
Yes! You definitely need to go to Tusker House! The character outfits alone are worth it! 😍

@@glutenfreedairyfreedisneyJedi: Survivor is _so_ good. After that, play Spider-Man 2!
@@Theobroma-p3n Spider Man 2 is on our list! 😍We're super excited about Star Wars Outlaws coming out in August! It's on both of our must play list.
Kona is my favorite! As usual, love your videos!
Yay! So glad you enjoy the video and double yay for the Kona love! 😍
May we ask what makes Kona your favorite?

And my extra contribution is Akershus. Their pretty waffle maker does a better job with the waffle mix and the rosemary potatoes are *chef’s kiss*.

Very excited to try Steakhouse 71 breakfast in November! I've had lunch and dinner. Looking forward to breakfast though!
Oh yay! Definitely let us know what you think after your trip! 😍
Tusker house was okay, but Kona is fabulous
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the restaurants! And glad to hear you enjoyed Kona!
Do you remember what the soy was in the waffles at rosa? Hoping its letchin
Unfortunately, I don't remember, but we will check next time we go!
Another great video! What restaurant has the best gf Mickey waffles?
