I think, for the most part, this ending was happy. There were tragic parts to it, but the trapped people were mostly freed, the people of the world got to live in peace, and most of the sacrifices made by the heroic characters were ambiguous in terms of whether they would be severe, or last. It's a bit like the ending to Final Fantasy 1.
What I love most about this series is how it ties back into the source material. Majoras's Mask as a game where lost and tormented souls who need help exist all over the world, and you are one of the only ones who can help them. But the biggest catch is that you can't save everyone. Sarah was able to save some of the souls and set them free, but other like herself became lost in the process. You can't save everyone.
Huh. This creepy pasta had turned into an arg which ended as a tragedy. There was no pure happy ending; rather, something bittersweet. Rosa won't remember them, but, we will. Thank you for this beautifully told story, Alex. Thank you. You shouldn't have done this... but we're glad you did. Thanks for the stories and meme-ories.

I personally believe that’s a happy ending. Everyone forgets all the loss and suffering and continues to enjoy themselves in this infinite playground, and Sarah is a true hero, sacrificing it all to ensure the best outcome possible. We can only hope that the Moon Children never return, and that the denizens of this virtual world rest in blissful ignorance. Also... notice how the Father said “majority of users.” Not _all_ users. I was around 12 when I had a creepypasta phase. Now after all these years as an adult I am really excited to re-live and conclude my favorite creepypasta. Truly unexpected and I’m living for it
It was only during Quarantine that I found out Ben Drowned kept continuing. I thought it was just some small creepy story of a glitched game about some dead kid but I was wrong. Holy shit, I loved this. It feels...fitting for the Song of Healing stopping the bad from doing its destruction. The song is not healing of wounds nor healing scars. It's...allowing the mental side of a person to accept things. It heals a damage mental state to the point where even when confronted with the inevitability of demise that they would let themselves go. The agony of this adventure along with its scars will fade as every tragedy should. We will remember it, but it won't hurt us as much as it did. We will forever remember this worldbuilding with love and care. 10 years of dedication to a singular Creepypasta we got wrong since day 1. We grew alongside the thing we called "a demon" or "an angry spirit." But we didn't grow with that. We grew up with a scared child. Alone and suffering. And just by growing up with them, we grew ourselves. There is no "Father." There is just the constant suffering that grew into that being that took the form of Majora. The very personification of what Sarah felt. Wrath. There is no higher being other than this program of the game that is "the last god of that world" that is simply doing its job of keeping the world in a form of checks and balances. There is no "happy ending", but there is also no bad ending either. There is no more suffering. There is now only quiet, and a cartridge of Majora's Mask that will no longer hold the dark memories of a child drowning in sadness. That's just my personal take. It may just be another thing I got wrong like the internet got the story wrong when we were younger. We made Alex's story popular by being afraid of it, by taking it what we will. But even though we didn't get it right, we at least knew there was more to it than just a child who drowned and a possessed cartridge. I'm glad I was a part of the generation that knew...about Ben Drowned. Thank you, Jadusable. For everything you've given us and the internet. I'm glad I got to experience it during the height of all Creepypastas and even 10 years after that explosion of scary stories. I wish you luck in future storytellings or any other form of life's work you will do. Do us all a favor and never forget that you are amazing. And that this all started from a simple ghost story of a haunted and glitched video game.
This is so strange... following this for ten years, even through the Hiatus. The haunted majora ARG is done. Its the end of an era. Well done to everyone involved. Well done Sarah... Ben has made such a mark on the Horror community and danm its weird to see this end
@@TheOfficialMarioGalaxyFanclub I see I just get confused with what’s Actually real without modding and what’s fake for entertainment, I’m new to this whole Ben thing, thought the whole series was real and was trippin for a sec lmao
One of the best series EVER. Sad it's finished Happy that this world is free. Thank you Jadusable /Alex hall for cherishing my childhood Thank you for.... Everything ❤️
I'm at a loss for words. Ben Drowned was already a great creepypasta with just the few videos 10 years ago, but with this last arc, it became more than that. It became a myth. Thank you to all the people who gave their time and resources to make that ending possible, and thank you Alex Hall for giving birth to this legend and allowing it to reach new heights.
36:00 man, this little goodbye hit for some reason. Ben saying goodbye to us for not only fixing his world, but also giving him a body..he’s free now. And can finally be the hero of his story. What a crazy ride this truly was…
To be here at the climax of this historic journey, it's been a great time. Thanks for making this year better and can't wait to see what else there is in store from you.
I cried when I saw the date that this was released. The creepypasta fandom has been dead for awhile now. Because are writers and artists have moved on. And some kids these generations have no idea what it is and if some of them were to they would turn the fandom toxic. But all I’m saying is. Can we bring our artists back, and our talented writers? This fandom was so much fun. Let’s bring the fandom back.
Honestly, this. I had a creepypasta phase back in 2012 when my art and writing skills were awful. Now I'm interested again, we need to bring creepypastas back.
Ben waving to us in the end....finally in the body of Young Link like he desperately wished for. He finally gets to be the hero he always dreamed of. My heart....its so beautiful!
A decade in the making. I made a friend over this, and wrote a novel-size Horse Fandom crossover in 2012 (that did well in its own right) due to this. This actually impacted my life. Finally it's here and wrapping up.
Thank you so much, Jadusable. Look forward to seeing more creations from you in the future. Also looking forward to Ryan's conclusion. It'll be a lot of fun thinking about and discussing how things could have gone differently
This is likely the last time we will ever see a story told quite like this, in such an advanced form of literature. We've seen something truly special that only we could ever really appreciate. What a ride its been... If there was ever a real end of an era, its this. All thats left is to pray that we can live to be graced by such unique talents again. Thanks for such an enjoyable ride.
Eh? Not sure what you mean there. If you mean ARG's there's plenty of those on most every subject. Some good, some bad. Just look at the ride that surrounded Doki Doki and its wild popularity. Anime creators regularly hide easter eggs and spoilers within their animes-hints at the future. Look at Madoka for that one. Shows do much the same. Games are the easiest to do it with in the files, and people have been creating video ARG's around games for...probably a decade now.
I know this is a year late, but lets take a moment to proccess everything... 10 years, 10 years this series was in development! this was honestly one of the first and best ARG's we watched as children, and now it ended on a somewhat happy note... can't believe it ended, but you know what they say, all good things must come to an end! thank you so much Jadusable, for being a part of our childhoods, and for creating one of the best ARG's/series! 💕 and lets not forget to thank the modders that made this possible as well! can't wait to see more of your projects! 🥰
The credits were epic. Just seeing the title "Ben Drowned" in the credits, knowing that this was a 10 year old project, was epic. The ending song was epic too. Thanks for everything, Jadusable!
Upon rewatch, I can say how amazing and cinematic that story was. Such an intriguing story of trapped souls desperately seizing a small chance at freedom. Dialogue was smart, divisive, and continuously holding interest until the finale. Thank you my friend, for a historical experience.
This has been an awesome journey. From 2010 to now the experience has been a unique one and I'm super glad I could be apart of it! :P Even when it went on Hiatus and years went by, despite not being sure if it would ever come back, I was still interested to see what Alex was doing. But then being able to see this conclusion chapter of this story was a massive treat and I know after this final part airs I can say that it was amazing, from beginning to end.
wow... well done Jadusable. This story telling was absolutely incredible, and I can say I wasn’t expecting an end like this for a second. Thank you so much for the amazing memories you have given myself and everyone else in this community. This story will stick with me always
Man really pulled a Mario 64 on us at the end with that fucking wave...damn... Thank you Alex... You did an amazing job... Everyone did... Happy Halloween
I don't wanna look like a hard ass but this is the first creepypasta that ever legitimately scared me and i'm glad i Got to see it through I genuinely hope this masterpiece goes down in history and is remembered as one of the best literary works out there Thanks alex for one of the best experiences i've ever had and reiginiting my love for zelda
The long wait inbetween the start of this series and the ending made this a lot more impactful. Thank you for your work Jadusable. You truly have been an inspiration.
I have Ben Drowned to thank for introducing me into the Zelda series. I remember watching Mullet Mike's video on the creepy pasta back in 2015 when I was 13. And I was hooked to the series since then. Thank you for all of this, Alex.
I totally thought Ben Drowned was a real thing until I started watching this series. I'm really glad it's not, but at the same time, this was so good! I couldn't stop watching! Well done! Love how you got the objects to be placed randomly and like real glitches.
i'm a grown woman crying gentle tears for fictional characters. i'm so sad that rosa and ben won't remember sarah, circle, or us, but i'm glad they get to live on. i absolutely loved matt chiding us for playing as if this were an anime, a video game, a fairy tale--what we're told is the "right thing" as children, in reality, is little more than our own hubris. but is our arrogance wrong? or does it save the innocent? it's beautiful that hall left us with these questions. i wonder if alex will give us a hint as to what would have happened had we chosen to let Sarah drop the moon or explore the hotel? i really loved abel's character and wanted to learn more about him... regardless, thank you for this incredible journey, jad/alex. you made an otherwise lonely and dismal halloween (those of us in the states must quarantine after all) extremely exciting, spooky, and full of things to mull over and dissect. you're a real one, bro.
when i say "our hubris," i of course mean that fictional stories, anime, video games, etc all tell us we're the heroes and main characters--that even our bad decisions are correct simply because we are the main character, the hero. jadusable proves this isn't actually true--he is trapped in an eternal hell because he thought that being the main character would eventually save him. it obviously didn't. and then he passed his knowledge and experience on to sarah and circle and us, who collectively thought we were the main character and thus could save everyone. and yet we end up lost and forgotten due to our hubris, our certainty that simply by being good we could DO good and save everyone. but we were forgotten. because we felt we deserved to be remembered. because the stories we were raised on told us we would be remembered... we were forgotten. tldr shit rules mind blown thank you jad. tell me what happened to Abel and nekko and darkworld. thx
@@hapsbymyuzaku Sure Sarah, Jadusable and Circle are forgotten. But I wouldn't say it's entirely a bad thing and that means being the hero is bad. They sacrificed themselves to save the others from torment and give them the happy playground world they always wanted but never got to have. I say that's worth being forgotten.
@@xanethedarkwerehog while i would LOVE that, i don't see it happening. it sorta takes away the weight of everyone's choices, if that makes sense. like, there's no meaning to the choices we made for sarah if we were just gonna get all the endings anyway. besides, alex hall is probably pretty tired at this point, haha. i'm hoping for a q&a where he'll discuss what might have been had the audience made different choices. (i'm not disagreeing with you, though! i'd love more content! i just don't see it happening...)
This story has been my motivation and inspiration for about three years now, I thank absolutely everyone who worked on this project, especially Alex. All these videos will certainly live on with our lives for a long time. And I'm not ashamed to admit I have cried my way through this whole finale. 💜💕✨
It's been amazing seeing this series through the end. I've been hooked ever since i saw a video about the first arc (and believing it was real lol, in my defense I was a kid at the time), got extremely creeped out reading TheTruth and intrigued by the ARG even though I didn't take part in it. Finding randomly that the series continued and binge watching the new videos was a delight, and all I've got to say is: thank you. Youhelped making this year slightly less terrible, and you're an amazing content creator. I wish I could support you on Patreon, but you bet I'm going to follow whatever you decide to make next!
Since its been 2 years and i lost my old UA-cam account. i felt the need to retype this 2 years later, Thank you. Like no seriously thank you, i cant believe i got to see dayfour and get nightmares as a 9 year old, then come back a FULL 10 YEARS LATER and finish what kept me up at night as a kid, I wanna say thank you Jadusable for making most of my childhood horror wise. I was never a Zelda person, but i loved this creepypasta to hell and back. and since im bad at typing stuff. Thank you. Thank you for EVERYTHING.
This went from being a creepy pasta to a full on legend. I remember first discovering this story in 2011. That was nine years ago. Time really does fly....

Thank you jadusable. You shouldn't have done this But as commenter RadicalCube64 said But We're eternally grateful
Man... to think I started this tale ten years ago with not a single clue as to what it was, let alone the lengths it would go to and the amazing story that it would eventually tell. In truth, I dropped the story pretty quick, I wasn't aware that it WAS a story, I was one of the ones who figured this to be a hoax someone was trying to pass off as real-- But then I stumbled upon a UA-camr called Night Mind, and I believe also Reignbot, and they explained everything, opening my eyes to this deeply detailed and surprisingly emotional ride. I'm glad I came back. I'm glad this story had the chance to grow and build the way it did. Thank you so much for a fantastic time ♡
I’m making this comment before this video has premiered. And while I usually don’t like horror/creepypastas, this series is so well-made that I’ve taken a liking to it. It’s been a wild, 10 year ride, and while I wasn’t here for most of it, I enjoyed every second that I was a part of it. Thank you Jadusable, for making such a great story, and may fortune be with you for whatever you decide to do with your life when this series ends.
This was one of one of the BEST things that I've ever had the joy of keeping track of and staying up to date on. This is a very satisfying ending to all this. It was fun to keep up on this so I can watch for new parts. Everyone who worked on this did PERFECT.
It's hard to believe that i know about this story since the 2010's, and now i'm seeing it finally end the arc. Rosa and Ben might forget us on the reset, but we won't. I just have to thank Alex for creating this amazing story that has never failed to leave me shocked, i loved this ride
The end of an ARG that I grew up with. Amazing. I am not caught up with the ARG and it would take me a while to do so. But still this is the best ARG I’ve ever seen this far.
Odd to believe that a Guy with free time, a Nintendo 64; a Majora's Mask Cartdrige, and a Game Shark pack could create one of the most memorable novels of video games ever. ❤
ok. i get the story is amazing and has been going on for years. But can we all take a moment and appreciate the technical side of all this? Changing areas for one purpose or another. setting different scenes with npcs. And the work on models. Making unique ones or using them for one story thing or another. Im impressed by all the work that goes into this sort of stuff.
Seriously, the modding back in the 2010 videos were impressive for the time, but porting over models ands assests from OOT to Majoras's Mask is damn impressive!
This was the best Creepypasta I've ever experienced (since it goes well beyond the normal story)! You are incredible at this stuff; I could not find any Creepypasta that out outdo you in terms of just how much there is to this!
ben drowned has always been and always will be my favorite creepypasta. i just recently discovered that there were continuations to the original videos published in 2010 and i've never been more glad to have remembered such a masterpiece
Alex; Thank you so much for making this Halloween a truly miraculous experience. It feels like Christmas. You know. That feeling when you open all of your presents and there's no new surprises left but you remind yourself that your'e so grateful for what you got. Let's all create our own stories and do what Alex did.
Such a well written story. Been following this ARG ever since I was around 14 (I’m 21 now), and I’m grateful to Alex and everyone involved for crafting an intricate and entertaining story related to one of my most favorite video games of all time.
Wow, just ... wow. Its just amaizing thinking about all the time that went by. All the changes that I have gone through in the time span of this amazing story. Never have I imagined, that this Creepypasta will evolve in something of this size. Never have I imagined that it will come out with a happy ending. The only thing left to say is, im impressed. You are very talented and I hope to hear and see much more of you in the future. Ive come to know BEN for 8 years now.... Damn how time flys by...
i cant say anything else than thank you alex and everyone else who helped him producing this... im really sad that its finished but i hope we will get another series this good
I'm not going to lie, but seeing the Father on fire in the thumbnail is just constantly making me think of that one quote everyone associates Grimm with from Hollow Knight. Also, it's great to see that this story is coming to an end after all these years. It's been a fun ride.
@lukesandylowground It's already been long confirmed that Kelbris was HMS since YSHDT. Specifically, File 6: The Father. HMS.wmv was to show that Kelbris gained enough power to transcend the HMS vessel (by killing him) and manifest as something more powerful. jadusable.withinhubris.com/Kelbris
@@randommaverick3039 Dude. In HMS. wmv, the HMS died. It was a sign that the father ascended. But maybe Sarah found a way to revert him back to HMS and kill him that way..?

From a story about a spooky video game to a shonen anime with real stakes.
This is so strange... following this for ten years, even through the Hiatus. The haunted majora ARG is done. Its the end of an era. Well done to everyone involved. Well done Sarah...
Ben has made such a mark on the Horror community and danm its weird to see this end
That little ben on Young Link's body waving at the audience was so cute 😭
THIS IT LUIGI.
Where?
Lotsa spaghetti.
People not in the discord chat who see this are gonna be so confused
*THIS IS IT LUIGI*
Did you bring a light?
This is literally the end, the end of a story I've been following for 8 years.
I'm so excited.
I’m so confused is this real?
@@Saikothornton0420 yes, this is the canon ending to the real ben drowned.
@@TheOfficialMarioGalaxyFanclub but it’s not an actual glitch right someone made this and edited it?
@@Saikothornton0420 you mean the fourth day glitch? That is real, this video isn’t, it’s just jad modding zelda for our entertainment.

Truly an end of an era, and yet it's hard to believe that it's actually ending after all this time. Godspeed soldiers in these final hours.
36:00 Ben and Link: Thank you all for being with us these 10 years and for seeing us.
They were actors :D
It's implied that that Young Link _is_ Ben. He must've used the Elegy of Emptiness to get a group shot with what was his avatar to be cute.
Actually, Link is Ben…Ben got his body and is saying goodbye to us for doing so.
The series started with a song of unhealing, and ended with the song of healing.
One of the best series EVER.
Sad it's finished
Happy that this world is free.
Thank you Jadusable /Alex hall for cherishing my childhood
Thank you for.... Everything
❤️
Thanks again to Jad for using my song in the end credits. This was an amazing conclusion to the journey and I can't wait to see what you do next.
Thanks for making this year better and can't wait to see what else there is in store from you.
climax 😳
No spoilers, but I've got a lot of questions
I cried when I saw the date that this was released. The creepypasta fandom has been dead for awhile now. Because are writers and artists have moved on. And some kids these generations have no idea what it is and if some of them were to they would turn the fandom toxic. But all I’m saying is. Can we bring our artists back, and our talented writers? This fandom was so much fun. Let’s bring the fandom back.
Honestly, this. I had a creepypasta phase back in 2012 when my art and writing skills were awful. Now I'm interested again, we need to bring creepypastas back.
@@tristantinethegreat absolutely

He was on my first place xD
It's jaDusable. With a D.
Dude same tho. I wasn't subbed, then, WHAM. Jadusable in my recommendations. I'm really happy about it tho.
Does anyone else get so immersed in these videos that you just feel stuck? Like you yourself are there and are trapped, unable to get out.
Yes! I was thinking that too! It’s so… weird…
I can't believe a small creepypasta that spawned millions of cliches turned into one of the best things I have ever seen. Thank you for creating this.
Even when it went on Hiatus and years went by, despite not being sure if it would ever come back, I was still interested to see what Alex was doing. But then being able to see this conclusion chapter of this story was a massive treat and I know after this final part airs I can say that it was amazing, from beginning to end.
The End.
After years, we finally made it here.
Wait i just subscribe here to come back to watch ben i see i miss alot so ben drowned is over😕😔
wow... well done Jadusable. This story telling was absolutely incredible, and I can say I wasn’t expecting an end like this for a second. Thank you so much for the amazing memories you have given myself and everyone else in this community. This story will stick with me always

I don't wanna look like a hard ass but this is the first creepypasta that ever legitimately scared me and i'm glad i Got to see it through
I genuinely hope this masterpiece goes down in history and is remembered as one of the best literary works out there
Thanks alex for one of the best experiences i've ever had and reiginiting my love for zelda
Dang , creepy gaming was killer. Good stuff
Maybe we'll get an alternative ending?
@@xanethedarkwerehog while i would LOVE that, i don't see it happening. it sorta takes away the weight of everyone's choices, if that makes sense. like, there's no meaning to the choices we made for sarah if we were just gonna get all the endings anyway.
besides, alex hall is probably pretty tired at this point, haha.
i'm hoping for a q&a where he'll discuss what might have been had the audience made different choices.
(i'm not disagreeing with you, though! i'd love more content! i just don't see it happening...)
@@hapsbymyuzaku fair enough
This ending is so heartwarming. Jadusable didn't have continue this story past the first arc but I'm so glad he did!

I remember being about 6 watching and hearing about the og Ben drowned story being terrified to even play it on my Wii. Being 14 now watching the series come to a close it's bittersweet. Thank you jadusable.
You shouldn't have done this
But as commenter RadicalCube64 said
But We're eternally grateful
Man... to think I started this tale ten years ago with not a single clue as to what it was, let alone the lengths it would go to and the amazing story that it would eventually tell. In truth, I dropped the story pretty quick, I wasn't aware that it WAS a story, I was one of the ones who figured this to be a hoax someone was trying to pass off as real--
But then I stumbled upon a UA-camr called Night Mind, and I believe also Reignbot, and they explained everything, opening my eyes to this deeply detailed and surprisingly emotional ride. I'm glad I came back. I'm glad this story had the chance to grow and build the way it did. Thank you so much for a fantastic time ♡
I’m making this comment before this video has premiered. And while I usually don’t like horror/creepypastas, this series is so well-made that I’ve taken a liking to it. ok. i get the story is amazing and has been going on for years. But can we all take a moment and appreciate the technical side of all this?
