Asia & BJ, you'll love her "All I Wanna Do", "Strong Enough" and "Every Day Is A Winding Road"!! She rocks!!! She does plays guitar!! The video you watched spelled her name wrong, no ‘e’ in Crow.
Haven't heard this in a long time. I worked at a busy restaurant in my late teens early twenties. Late 90s. Music was constantly on in the bar and so much of this music comes across my ear and just takes me back. Simpler times, no phones, no 9/11 yet, just fun. Smoked a lot of herb and worked my butt off. Thanks for the memory
Cheryl used to be a backup singer for Michael Jackson and performed on stage with him at his concerts. This, of course, was before she made it on her own. Great documentary about her released on HBO in the last year or so. Great talent.
Sheryl is an amazing talent, and has some really good tunes, this is one of her best. My favorite is probably the "Difficult Kind", so add that one to the recommended Sheryl Crow list, and you won't be disappointed. It is also doesn't have many reactions, could only find one which shows how much of a hidden gem it truly is, and very underappreciated.
You'll have to hit Sheryl's "Steve McQueen" awesome vibe and a cameo from Earnhardt Jr in the video. Sheryl's got some terrific tunes I recommend the rabbit hole.
Yeah, it's a joy to hear. The video is fabulous with Sheryl Crow surfing and being a real beach chick. It's impossible to be sad--really sad--listening to this song. An eternal summer.
Not much of a Sheryl Crow fan, but I like this one and yeah I know it's poppy. Crow's co-writer, Jeff Trott, came up with the idea for this on a flight from Portland, Oregon, to New York. He told Songfacts: "I'm thinking this is really ironic that I'm leaving Portland being soaked in rain, and I'm actually going to New York to soak up some sun. I'm going to New York to soak up some sun. That's got a ring to it. That's kind of cool. Then I started thinking about the sun, and I started thinking of these Beach Boys-style harmonies. On that five-hour flight, I had come up with the whole song completely in my head, not all the lyrics necessarily. I had a good chunk of the chorus of 'Soak Up The Sun,' but I had harmonies and everything all in my head, and I'm just having to scratch it down on a piece of paper."
She's such a great artist! I gained so much more appreciation for this song as the years have passed. One of my ATF Sheryl Crow songs is "Leaving Las Vegas"!
Sheryl is a producer, songwriter, vocalist, guitarist, bassist, pianist, etc. She is amazing. "There Goes the Neighborhood" is probably a favorite of mine, though it's one of her lower tier "hits".
Sheryl Crow is amazing!!!! She was a back up singer for Michael Jackson back in the day. She sings some of his songs as well!!! Please listen to the Difficult Kind.
Thanks for reacting to Cheryl Crow, ya'll! Not many reactors have. She has quite a few really good ones. My favorite one, is "My Favorite Mistake". Would love it if you did that one and more of hers! : )
Great choice!! Ever since I heard Sheryl Crow do a remix of this on Sesame Street, I was hooked… She’s an incredible songwriter. Good work, Asia & BJ!!!
if you watch the "official" video for this song she films it on a beach i think in "hawaii" but it's a great song makes you feel good so yes does give you beach vibes
This is actually off one of her later albums fourth I believe. Sheryl is a tremendous talent. Her second self titled album is IMHO one of the greatest albums of the nineties. Very eclectic styles. Fun fact: She taught school at the same school my wife graduated from in Missouri. Although my wife graduated long before Sheryl was there.
This song was released in January 2002 and it was just what the doctor ordered for everyone. I know it sure was for me anyway. Imagine for a moment, Asia, if it evokes the feelings you’re feeling then how much more would it have lifted you up just 3 months post 9/11?! It affected me so strongly that I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it. I was driving to work at my job with a computer sales and support company, the exact same thing I had been doing 3 months prior when I made that last left turn a block from the office and the DJ came on the radio and announced that a plane had just struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center 😢 I remember being so stunned and confused and the sharp intake of breath like it was yesterday. Fast forward 3 months to the morning this song came on the radio. It immediately uplifted my spirit and made me feel like I was flying 🦋🦋🦋… I finally let out a satisfied breath that I swear I had been holding for 90 days and started singing along and smiling and feeling a glimmer of hope. I truly believe that Cheryl released this song when she did as a message of hope to everyone. Almost as if to say that she knew how deeply we were all hurting but that we still had so much to be grateful for and telling us to lighten up, and to look up and be there for each other and help each other to heal. Now whenever I hear this song, if I’ve been “going through it” or down for whatever reason, I feel my spirit begin to lift and I literally feel lighter as I let go of what’s hurting my soul and just sing along 🎵🎶❤
Cheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks did a couple of great songs together for the movie Practical Magic (w/Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman) called Sorcerer and If you ever did believe. I'm sure you guys would like them.
oh yes!!! takes me back to my college days and having fun in those carefree days..this whole CD is a jam..and yes, I know "CD" is so dated...it came out in the 90's
I like the catchiness of this tune but she tends to write a lot of nonsense lyrics for the sake of nonsense. Which I can appreciate for the most part, but it gets old after a while.
I love the line “it’s not having what you want, it’s wanting what you’ve got!” Profound
Asia & BJ, you'll love her "All I Wanna Do", "Strong Enough" and "Every Day Is A Winding Road"!!

I agree with you.🧚🏽♂️✨💫👍🏽

Love what you said, simpler times and none of those things, brings me back to the late 90s in my teens as well
my world was very similar, except it happened for me in the 70s. Anyway, Sheryl rocks everything she does. Peace!!
@@scottus1955 me personally those worlds were alot better. Thank you for the comment
@@davidward9737 hopefully someday I can time travel and I know right where I'm going to hit the pause button

This feel-good pop song came out 21 years ago. It is one of Sheryl's very BEST and i enjoyed your appreciation of it.

My favorite as well!!!!
@@sookkytoony1737 The duet with Shelby Lynn at the Grammies is probably my favorite version, as they killed it and then some.

That's a killer song! 👍
Yeah, it's a joy to hear. The video is fabulous with Sheryl Crow surfing and being a real beach chick. It's impossible to be sad--really sad--listening to this song. An eternal summer.

You can never go wrong with Sheryl Crow!! I believe this song came out around 2002. It was on her fourth album, “C’mon, C’mon.
Not much of a Sheryl Crow fan, but I like this one and yeah I know it's poppy.

I'm surprised they don't play songs like this on the radio anymore :(
BANGER! Still has that 90s vibe even if a bit after the decade. Her song "If it Makes You Happy" is EPIC. A total 90s anthem

If it doesn't give you beach vibes just check out the official video! Also for a summer vibe check out the video for Sheryl Crow's Summer Day!
This is my favorite Sheryl Crow song. It’s a pure pick me up from the one time Michael Jackson back up singer.
Need to watch the video very summery. When my daughter was a toddler we would sing this so loud on car rides to the beach. Great memories
Sounds great!
Her tune "Steve McQueen" is excellent

It is a beach song definitely. Perfect for the beach.

If you want to hear something mind blowing, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow and David Sandborn play Little Wing. Awesome!
Awesome vibe😁😁😁
Glad you like it!
This song is really good, my mind. Perfect addition to the movie Kangaroo Jack, even if it was at the tail end.

GREAT song....Makes you think of the Beach Boys
Don't forget
All I Wanna Do
You have to check out her version of Guns & Roses "Sweet Child of Mine" She does an amazing cover of it. Worth checking out!
Beachboys could definitely do a cover on this song. Am I wrong?
Have you reacted to a Robert Cray song yet?...if not I recommend..Strong persuader.
Love the vids
Kangaroo Jack? Credits song?
Can you react to best friend by richie campbell

That's because you are only hearing the radio hits. She has some very deep lyrical tracks as well:)
She's got hit after hit,go back to her early music
