It's for their protection and its given to them with lots of blessing and prayer. Don't be so rude. How will you feel if they removed your rosary from your neck? Please think and act. As a christian , i definitely believe that school is a place for everyone irrespective of their religion and we should always learn to be together , everyone has the right to follow there religion in this country and noone should be asked to remove tilak etc which they have put for religious reasons. We should only restrict something if it is creating a hinderance for other students or if any rules are broken. I appreciate the way this person handled the situation very maturely and correctly pointed out their mistake with respect.

They used to board in our school dormitories. Some of them are still in touch.

I don't understand why these type of issues are created in schools. I have studied in a Catholic school along with my Hindu friends and in our school in goa there is a subject 'RELIGION' and during that period our Hindu friends were taken to a separate class room and our Hindu teachers used to teach them Hindu religion. It's for their protection and its given to them with lots of blessing and prayer. Don't be so rude. How will you feel if they removed your rosary from your neck? Please think and act. Be sensitive towards others before also. This is wrong. I do not support removing of holy threads. Keep some knowledge about other religion also. You can't behave like this. India is a free country and they can also practice their faith inside a catholic school. What I'm seeing in this video is very disheartening. Have some common sense please. They came for exam with so much prayer and you just.....I don't even have words. Don't create unnecessary provoking gesture. Respect other religion also. As a christian , i definitely believe that school is a place for everyone irrespective of their religion and we should always learn to be together , everyone has the right to follow there religion in this country and noone should be asked to remove tilak etc which they have put for religious reasons.
We should only restrict something if it is creating a hinderance for other students or if any rules are broken.
I appreciate the way this person handled the situation very maturely and correctly pointed out their mistake with respect.

I don't understand why these type of issues are created in schools. I have studied in a Catholic school along with my Hindu friends and in our school in goa there is a subject 'RELIGION' and during that period our Hindu friends were taken to a separate class room and our Hindu teachers used to teach them Hindu religion. कान्वेंट के टीचर्स खुद स्कूल में क्राॅस पहनकर पढ़ाते हैं लेकिन हिन्दु बच्चों को तिलक लगाने नहीं देते। यह भयंकर वास्तविकता है।
