Thanks, Chris. I try my best 😊 I have done a few videos in Lisbon. Here's one (but there are more) ua-cam.com/video/Errn8X_f3pg/v-deo.htmlsi=EcpQz9d5Kz-OBJBn
Eduardo is THE BEST barber ever! His attention to detail on both head and beard is unrivalled, anywhere. So pleased to see you are highlighting his unique shop filled with amazing collectables from his eclectic life.
Hey Nick! Thanks for another great video. Here's a question, and not judging, just curious. Are these new businesses like the ones you featured able to serve customers in Portuguese? Thanks again, take care.
Yes, as far as I know. 👍🏼 Although my channel is dedicated to helping foreigners with their Portuguese experience, that is why I focus more on internationals.
Yes the Slave Museum....😢 And a few years ago archaeologists discovered the skeletons of 150 appx African slaves many of them shackled, nr a car park in lagos. This is a town with very mixed energy...good and bad.
Nick, I really love your content. And the obvious changes- like gentrification- are obviously not on you. But this woman in the Café seemed to be proud of the "aquisicao hostil" of all the foreigners. That they transformed Lagos into something THEY like. This really hurts me. 😢
I understand how that could hurt you and others. It's often sad to see change when we are reminiscing about how things once were. Portugal's history is deeply intertwined with immigration and cultural exchange. From the Phoenicians to the Romans, the Moors to the Jews, each wave of newcomers has added a unique thread to the tapestry of Portuguese identity. Today, immigrants continue to enrich the nation's culture, cuisine, and perspectives. While some may worry about the loss of tradition, it's important to remember that cultures are not static entities. They evolve and adapt over time, and the arrival of new immigrants is simply another chapter in Portugal's ongoing story. She celebrates the diversity that immigrants bring to Lagos. Of course she also used it as a way to earn a living too. Good for Abigail!

Great video Nick!
I visited Lagos in 2016 and liked it quite a bite.
I found the climate in Western Algarve more comfortable than Eastern Algarve
Hey PG13, nice to hear from you again. Were you there in summer?

Yes, not a good part of history at all.
