Hey all, Donald here 👋I had absolutely loved Band-Maids sound, and style. I really enjoyed that the bands name tied into their aesthetic. Fantastic band , great visuals, was a joy to listen to Slight correction on my plugs though, Midnight Munchies Manifesto (spelt all one word) is the handle of both the discord group, and the twitch stream I play at live in VR on the weekends😄Come by and say hello! Thank you so much for having me on, was such a joy to listen to
I love them and they really are a fantastic live band! Like Nightwish, the Warning and LOVEBITES they are great performers and very skilled musicians. They are all passionate perfectionists, likable humans and put an immense amount of effort into their musical work. These 4 are my favorite bands, they passed everything I‘ve been listening before …
It's been Hunky Dory Days for USA, Mexico and Japan fans, that's for sure! As their 2023 10th Anniversary Concert series closes where they performed a whooping 60 of their over 120 superhit songs, we are all waiting for the big climax at the 17,000 seat Yokohama stadium in Nov.! A live Band-Maid experience is not to be missed, if at all possible! Thx, Donald & Joel!
Another great reaction! Thanks again for exposing more people to the awesome life experience known as Band-Maid!!!! World Domination, one person at a time. PO!!! 🕊 Shot in Ishikiri Sanmyaku, in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture. 36.37576, 140.20353
xD wtf. They can't even use your own record for that? haha. That is such a fun fact. Thank you for sharing that! These interview sections are so much fun in addition to the videos. What a lovely guest :) I actually just started to write to give the location, then saw someone else already helped out ^^ This was great and I'm looking forward to the Ningen Isu reaction tomorrow!!
@@philproffitt8363 I would call it rocky pop. But anyhow, it does not matter. BAND-MAID has made tons of catchy and good poppy rock, so why not some rocky pop? 😁.
Earth, Wind and Fire's good too. I remember my mother had an old portable wifi. Folded into a case. It came with different sized spindles. I guess that makes sense about the painted record. They'll use a leftover that didn't sell as expected rather that something that is still selling.
Kanami tells me interesting things like "Dyk that the six million dollar man would be worth $37,366,247.46 today". All i know is there isn't a machine made by man that's as unstoppable as BAND-MAID. Plus Steve Austin is rubbish at doing Mincho's little swingy arms dance.😏
Whenever I tuned in I think Steve was due a battery recharge...he ran so slowly 🤔 They only had 110 Volts line...he couldn't scrape through a single episode in full effect 🤣
@@philproffitt8363 Lmao.😆 Yeah what was all that about. To show us his impressive bionic speed he jogged along in slow motion. And no matter where he was there would always be a girder lying about to throw at someone :)
Any respect I had for the Grammys has plummeted! Is your master disc a positive or a negative? If it's the negative, you are putting the needle into the "hill" between the grooves amd it probably doesn't fit. If I remember correctly, they try to severely limit how many times the master tape (the final mix) goes across the tape heads so they make very few positive masters. The positives are used to create (relatively) many negative masters, and those used in the manufacturing process to stamp the vinyl copies you buy. It does make me laugh to think somebody has an Earth, Wind, and Fire platinum disc that plays Steely Dan! Those early Steely Dan records - Can't Buy a Thrill, Pretzel Logic, Katy Lied, The Royal Scam, Aja - they are all brilliant records.
Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned the name of the Sakura Gakuin song it’s Aoharu Hakusho ua-cam.com/video/lcJZNb7GBAM/v-deo.htmlsi=pDRAPhg2dXw8K017 you should check it out. It’s a good one. The link you sent was good too
I personally don’t like music videos , to polished to produced to clean , to layered to much fake , I prefer only listening to to live tracks and watching live videos on UA-cam. Fortunately I have seen Bandmaid live they tour a lot here in the states and they are legit , but for instance Lovebites does a lot of mimicking playing on stage and what you really hear is the track . That’s a big reason they don’t play much out of Japan ,
Many of the bands that Joel shows his guests use backing tracks for live performances to add additional layers to the music: Nightwish The Warning LOVEBITES Band-Maid as well But that doesn’t mean that they pretend to play on their instruments or to sing. But that would be the definition of mimicking. And I like all 4 of them very much!
@@stand.and.deliver.5 I know almost every band uses back tracks , including all that you listed. BUTTTT LOVEBITES LITERALLY MIMMICKS LIVE ! Asantes vocals are always live tho . But ALOT of the bass and guitars are track while they pretend to play on stage , it is been well documented and can be easily recognized if you go watch there fingers and listen to when they have played in the UK , when they played Wacken they actually played and it was very obvious they was playing because it was not perfect , the solos were not perfect you clearly heard missed notes bends hammers that was not precise , which I enjoy because it’s live ! Since Wacken they said they did not like the “ sound quality “ and now they have stayed in Japan where they can get away with mimicking a track instead of using a track to stay on time and to fill the wall of sound . Go watch lovebites perfirm at Wacken , then come bac to my comment
It differs. One example. Most Lovebites music videos are too much produced. The live are generally better IMHO. But then comes "Stand up and deliver" and it is banger. Same for e.g. Babymetal. Megitsune is just totally fantastic as music video. So, yes, you have a point. But it is not always true.
@@hardknox1917 I‘ve seen the Wacken performance at least 50 times 😂 And don’t mix up DVD/Blu-ray releases with post production and real live sound, as seen in LOVEBITES recent livestream from their Tokyo show. If you’re accusations would be correct they would have to record a new backing track for each concert because you can hear different little mistakes/imperfections at different shows. Listen to „Edge of the world“ from Aschaffenburg that was 3 month later than Wacken. You can clearly hear that Miyako misses some notes. The solo is definitely not a track. And by the way in the old fan cam videos from their Europe concerts 2017-2019 you can her a lot of imperfections. Including Asami almost loosing her voice during the performance…

They’re awesome to see in person. Loved the show. They carried the maid theme in the show calling us all Masters and Princesses
He loves anime? Well shit, UNLEASH!!!!! would have been a killer track. Another great reaction.
EWF vs Steely Dan = both winners from my youth. What a treat to know, Po! 🦍🍌
Long time no see "Influencer". It is a fun and good song. No so much rock as they usually do. I hope Donald listen to some more BAND-MAID.

Since he loves anime, you'll have to have him again for Different, Glory, Sense, and Shambles! All of them in anime! Different and Sense were openers.
Well, and Unleash!!!!! is half an Anime itself.

Show him Unleashed!!!!!
Welcome to the Maidiacs, Donald.
Should've had him listen to Shambles, since it's their newest song that was made for an anime (Kengan Ashura)
What if..... all platinum albums are Earth Wind & Fire albums? Hmmmm....
