München 2022 ist eine innovative Rückkehr zu den Wurzeln der Olympischen Spiele von 1972. Eine Reminiszenz an Gastfreundschaft, Fröhlichkeit und Gemeinschaft, aber auch an die Opfer des Attentats auf die israelische Olympia-Mannschaft. Gleichzeitig steht das Event für eine konkrete Rückkehr an einen einzigartigen historischen Ort. Eine Rückkehr zur legendären Architektur des Olympiaparks mit seiner weltberühmten Zeltdachkonstruktion, die aus dem Millionendorf München einst über Nacht eine internationale Sportmetropole machte. „Back to the Roofs“ ist mehr als ein Aufruf in den Olympiapark zurückzukommen, es ist ein Versprechen, das Erbe der Olympischen Spiele 1972 aufzugreifen und modern und neu zu interpretieren.
