Jayaprakash Narayan: The Unsung Hero of Emergency | Biography & Political Thought [Hindi]

Jayaprakash Narayan who is also known as JP, was the leading figure in various movements in post-independence India. From the Bhoodan movement of Vinoba Bhave to Navnirman Andalon which culminated in the Bihar movement, JP was the leading figure. In fact, the Bihar movement is known by his name JP movement and sometimes called the 'total revolution' movement. He is known as a leader, who brought down Indira Gandhi, established the first non-congress government at the centre. Some people believed that he is the unsung hero of the emergency who gave India second freedom i.e. freedom from the autocracy of the one-party system.
