Hi ADMIN ,I have 4 years of experience in devops and 6 years into IT industry I have gaps in my career recently i cleared Infosys after submission of my documents I don't know because of gaps or salary or they find better then me they rejected me again now i cleared EY three rounds now after salary discussion HR said they are waiting for approval now after one month HR is saying it's on hold getting bit nervous seeing this kind of response... should I continue in devops ,or should I quit and do some business... because getting rejected my many companies.in skill wise azure devops I can rate 3.25/5 I can deploy .Net application using docker and kunernetes also.
Hello , If you were able to clear the interviews of Infosys and EY then I do not see any issues with your skills. May be you need to work on providing a valid justification in your career gap and what you did in those years to keep yourself up to date with the market. Try to add a few lines in your resume as well. Rejection could be due to market conditions, they found someone will better experience and so on , these are the things that are not in your control. The only thing in your control is to keep trying. You face 100s of rejections before your actually get one acceptance, you have to be at the right place at the right time and that time will come for sure if you keep trying. I know it is frustrating to keep applying if you dont have a job and if you are low on savings, I would also recommend trying to a few other options till you get the job e.g try out freelancing, try to apply for some roles that doesnt require extensive experience such as sys admin, cloud support related roles just to get in the IT market. To conclude, this is what I would suggest:- - Keep trying, keep upskilling yourself, try , fail and try again. - Try to secure a less challenging job in the meantime - Try freelancing over websites such as upwork.com , cold emailing through Linkedin etc. Sorry for the long post but I sincerely hope that it helps.
