We were there, behind the stage, another outstanding concert. 74 years old...No Retreat, No Surrender.
I was there with my kids. My 6th time and their first. I saw him in 78 in Cleveland and 46 years later in Columbus! Still gave me chills
He’s Absolutely Ageless & it made Me burst into tears to see his Joy de Vivre back & him being Healthy & his joy is Infectious ❣️ E Street Band IS The Best band too ❣️ Incredible musicianship ❣️💯 #onlyoneboss ❤🤘🏻💖🎵🎶💜
This was my one and only Springsteen concert, even though I've been fan ever since I was in high school (in the '80s!). Absolutely incredible experience!! So glad to be able to relive it through this video
I was at this show. It sounds crazy to say about a guy who is 74, but he's as good as ever. This was as good a show as I've ever seen.
In my humble opinion the best Springsteen of last five years. Incredibile!

This is an amazing video. Great sound and shot from the perfect angle that shows the entire band playing as a unit. Band and Bruce were on fire that night.

Thank you to whoever recorded this, it's awesome. Sucks that someone has to impress his date and name songs when they come on. Those of us that grew up with Bruce know the songs on the first 1 or 2 chords, he says the songs on the 4th or 5th chord. Just sing and have fun.
I saw him on the 18th in Syracuse. It was great of course but I would have loved to see him do some of these like Trapped and Racing in the Streets. Thanks so much for sharing this show.

I had two tickets for last year in Oregon. I'm from Los Angeles. My first time seeing them was in 1980. Los Angeles Sports Arena on Halloween night. I was 13. My big brother took me. He was 18. Changed my m-----f--king life!!
So last February, the weather was all f--ked up. No one in or out of Grapevine. So I'm monitoring the weather reports. I had just bought a new (used) Mercedes Benz and was dying for a good run up the coast.
I finally made the decision. Told my partner, 'Sean, we're gonna have to fly in. I'll get online and make it happen.
So the morning of the show I got floor seats (I hadn't told my partner, wanted to blow his mjnd. I've seen Bruce 20x but never that close!
Tickets, hotel reservations and now the plane flight! We're ready.
Or so I thought...?.
With 0 time to spare to get to the airport, I'm having a hard time getting up. I'd been up a few days partying, totally wound up for the show. That morning i finally crashed.
My buddy gets me up after much struggle. lol
As we're about to leave, he suddenly says, 'dude, what about Heidi?" His 6 month old adorable Mini-Pin puppy. We had forgotten we had arranged for a friend of his to puppy sit for a few nights. Ooooops. No not ooooops. More like holy shit, son of a bitch!! We have no time to drop her off and get to the airport on time now.
Motherfucker.
So we scrambled and then stopped. Then scrambled some more.
Then I finally said cooly, calmly from the restroom. "Sean forget it. He's playing in December two nights. We'll never make it anyway.
Abort mission.
I was bummed. But it would be #21 for me. It was his first. He had heard me blow Bruce up for the last year and a half.
The disappointment was all over his face.
I felt like absolute shit.
But hey there's December. We'll be fine. Besides the way the scheduling was gonna work out, Aerosmith AND The Black Crowes were scheduled to play the very next night after Bruce's second and final show at the Forum.
So I'm like, "Sean, Springsteen on Tues. Springsteen on Thursday. Then the very next night, Aerosmith and the Black Crowes. Its gonna be an absurdly good week of incredible kick ass rock and roll.
Bruce and Steven Tyler in the same week.
Fuck yeh!!
Then I'm scrolling along on my phone back in ... I can't remember...but I'm seeing some shit about Bruce being sick?? I'm thinking nah...Trump is right sometimes? Must be fake news?! ...lol

Well I tell Sean. I'm reassuring him that m I've never heard of Bruce getting sick before and I'm sure they'll reschedule and honor tickets etc.
I even said that hey since we haven't even got our tickets yet it's a remote possibility that some people won't be able to make the new rescheduled dates!!??
Sooooo bro, this may be a blessing in disguise!!? Lol
But hey, almost forgot...get well soon Bruce, Patti, Little Steven and anyone who has it in the Bruce camp.
So by the start of this year I've seen soooooo many clips on UA-cam from the tour so far that I'm saturated in the set list, who's playing, who's not?
I notice immediately when the tour resumes in Phoenix Arizona that he looks re-invigorated re-energized, born again!!
Damn I told Sean, he's back with a vengeance!! It looks good.
So the L.A. shows are rapidly approaching.
I forgot to mention something really huge and significant to this story.
Yeh I know a long story longer.
Like a Bruce show hang in there!! Lol
Last year I lost a lot of money. No need to get into how?.
Or what exactly. Just know I was in the process of getting returned to me.
However, the check hasn't come yet!!??
We're in a mild panic.
The Los Angeles April dates come and go.
We're in tears. For real.
But .. I remind Sean that they're going to take x amount of time minimum. That time hasn't passed yet!!
Well the check arrives.
I immediately after depositing etc., get online and do a repeat of last year for Oregon.
We through a total misunderstanding, miss our first flight. I get another flight for the next morning.
We arrive at LAX and were literally about 5 minutes late for our flight. 😢 They inform us we can change flights BUT we'd have to land in Cleveland instead of Columbus. THEN rent a car, race down to Columbus, check in to the hotel then race to the show.
We'd make it but be about a half hour late to the show.
For anyone else? No biggie. Heck they might not even be on stage yet!!?

So we went ahead and got the tickets. Left the airport to go get some breakfast.
Eat and then realize we have to be back a full hour prior to the boarding time on the pass.
Fuck. We're not gonna make it!!?
Agggggggggggghhhhhhhhh..
I step on the gas. My new (used) Nissan Pathfinder is rolling along smoothly.
Get to the airport, park, get into a shuttle.
Get to airport, get in line. In line, i take few swigs off my vodka bottle. Chase quickly with water and throw in the trash.
Sean is watching the people getting searched in front of us in the line.
Panic on his face.
Im thinking no no no.
Sean no no.
Oh fuck .
I glance at him and he's dripping sweat.
Sean you okay?
Dude we need to get out of the line.
Huh?
Just get out of the line.
So we lift the rubber rope and duck under and out of line we go.
We get outside and I look at him. He goes dude the weed and stuff (I never even asked!?) was slipping down my leg.
I had it in the pill capsules but it looked risky as all hell.
So we went back to the car and smoked a little. Swallowed a shot or two of vodka and sat in silence listening to Breakfast with the Beatles.
I said, "Sean we can still get to the Pittsburgh shows after he returns from the summer in Europe?"
He just sighs, says he's sorry and i don't have to do that for him. I laughed out loud.
I'm NOT doing it for you. Lol
I wanna see him. Fuck dude are you fucking kidding me? Lol
So right now I'm in a parking lot of a home depot and I'm about to purchase 4 tickets for the first Pittsburgh show and 2 tickets for the second night in Pittsburgh.
First night for Sean and two other Springsteen virgins. Night two, because damnit Mr. I ain't a boy, no I'm a man and I believe in the Promised Land.
So if you are at either of the Pittsburgh dates on the floor about anywhere bwtn the second to fifth rows behind the reserved section standing room only, look for medium dude, black hair, with a cane next to a bigger guy with blonde hair wearing shirts that say something crazy (not sure yet?) but it'll get your attention for sure!!.
Stop by and say hi. Ill buy you a beer.
We'll laugh, toast and thank God that Sean and I finally made it to the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band show!!!
