People hate on pdd but when was the last time they threw down 1500 hp to the wheels and kept it together. The truck you built takes a thrashing and keeps on going. It goes to show the quality of parts and craftsmanship you put into it. Thanks for sharing the journey. Its been great to watch this truck turn into the beast it is.
Garrett turbskis kick butt, most guys don't get the chance to do back to back dyno testing like you do. I know it's a ton of work swapping and testing parts and It's great to see you show all your issues, success, and turbo comparisons! I appreciate your hard work brother!
Good luck! Can't wait to see footage from the event. Glad to see you got it sorted out. Those 250% are making some serious power on a fuel only run! Sometimes you just need the genuine article. That transmission is still the MVP!
Again another display of not giving up. Great encore with the 1500hp run!!! Josh and DDP have the drive and knowledge to push and make great videos and sell great products. Thanks for the videos brother!
JOSH I KEPT BLOWING MY HOT SIDE BOOTS TOO BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM. ENDED UP V-BAND FLANGING THE INTERCOOLER TO CHARGE PIPE LOWER AND WITH THE SAME BOOT YOU HAVE UP TOP. PROBABLY THE MAIN THING IS ADDING A SUPPORT FROM THE UPPER RADIATOR CORE SUPPORT TO ABOUT 3/4 WAY UP THE CHARGE PIPE. SO THE PIPE IS FIXED TO THE INTERCOOLER AND CORE SUPPORT. THE TOP BOOT SEEMS TO BE PROVIDING MORE THAN ENOUGH ENGINE TORQUE FLEXING.
Awesome video and no disrespect to any brands but what could be noted is the $ per whp and to note that the vsr units are geared at budget friendly and garrets are geared at best of the best. The vsr in this case comes is at 1.45$ per whp ~ A cast gt55- 1.66$ per whp~ And a billet gt55 2.4$ per whp~ It is a case of you get what you pay for but a case can also be made that unless your in the situation where it requires the billet genuine gt55 that a enthusiast would be just as excited if the goal was 1200 whp and only needed a vsr unit for 1.45$ per whp and use the money towards other supporting mods etc… :) hopefully this is helpful. Wishing you luck at the event!
Savage I love your turbos my man and your so dang smart I’m glad to see a bunch of good guys that help out other guys like us that’s learning on your dime lol. Keep it up
I wonder if blowing that boot hurt the turbo looks like boost went down after that run. I would say you are officially in the danger zone on that block though! Speaking of I could still use the ESN off your tow rig to see what the part number and availability is on the CGI blocks. I will probably just have to go find one at a dealer and find a number.
Pdd is hated on for pushing products and builds to the limit, if they grenade an engine they’ll find out why and how to fix it, then my favorite part is they relay that info to the viewers so we know what not to do, pdd is great for info and entertainment
I have a 08 6.7 studded, fuel rail shim and cp3 bag of parts. It has a Tater built 67/67 he351. Hits 1600 egt easy when 2500rmps or above. Also wanting more power. Would a s369sxe be a good replacement turbo?
Wanting to make 700 on 07 5.9 so far it has efi and fass165 and sinster diesel cold air intake and elbow and 64.5 turbo what else am I needing and I do not want a second 2nd swap turbo
Who cannot be a fan of this guy..? This is like the ULTIMATE 3RD GEN CHANNEL..!

PDD. DDP is a good group of guys too.

Josh: Coasting at 1500HP fuel only, but will use spray if need be.

Jk lol
Even if you make 150hp come out! You’ll never get better or want more sitting at home!
@@horsetorquesdiesel definitely bro. No doubt about that.
so glad i found this channel!
Awesome work. I appreciate your willingness to put it all on the line for our knowledge and entertainment.
You should hold meets! I would love to get a couple beers with some fellows dieselheads! If you do, do some in Vegas!!!
I have way to much going on in my life to start that head ache. But I’m always down to go to events!
@@horsetorquesdiesel Understand that, totally feel ya...hope to see ya in some future events!
Was great being able to meet ya yesterday !!
Same sir! Sorry I was so busy!
Crazy how much you change your setup great content as always
Thanks for the solid content Josh. And enjoy your free time away from the camera lens.
Hell Yeah Brother
Your angles are great bro. Looks so nice on the Dyno.
You will never hear a negative comment out of me Bro !! For the budget you have you do AMAZING !!
Could you do a short video comparing those turbos? Maybe give us some insight of possibly why there was such a difference.
Hell yeah 😈🤘🏻 well done Josh !!!

Wish you guys good luck
Wow!!! What a HUGE difference!! Go get'm man!! 😎🤘
Badass truck! 💯 goals for sure! one day I’ll sell my 02 vp truck for a common rail
Vp44 are a solid work truck and they get insane fuel mileage
Bad ass. Meanwhile I think my trucks a beast with S&B intake and no 4 inch exhaust. 🤣🤣
Leaps and bounds brother

Something like that!

Hell yea dude I called it on the last video! What size is that genuine Garrett compared to the VSR 102?
106mm
@@horsetorquesdiesel which turbine housing on the genuine garrett?
And im over here with just a 210hp smarty tuned 04 5.9 😭
Only thing special about it is I poured $7k into a Zf6 swap 🤷♂️😶

I thought for sure the motor was blowing up with all the liquid coming out of it on the floor and down the driveway?
It’s water…

Stock intake horn... Save your money!!
Let us know what went wrong on that VS turbo. Seems rather odd how it just popped an oil leak for no reason..
You should put some temp sensor pre and post cac
I have it on my 2005 but it’s something I could look into!
Idaho... Wrong I state :-P I saw you when you came to Indiana though :-D

467.7 in my opinion is the better move to make.

No kidding
I will be buying Garret Turbo's when mine blow !!!

67/67 he351 45% overs and a 10mm cp3

the reason why cummins uses garrett
Except they use Holset.... They own the company.
