  • This is tutorial how to put new maps to your bike, its called flashing ECU or Mapping. TuneECU is totally free software all what you need buy is diagnostic cable (40 USD from ebay). More info about this software you can find at www.tuneecu.com/.

    PLEASE NOTE: Using wrong maps can damage your bike !
    ============================================
    Every bike has different designed maps, so make sure to get correct maps. You need know EU and US map is not same.

    O2 Sensor - If you turn this sensor off in TuneECU your fuel mixture will be richer, and that is very good if you are riding in hot area. But if you are looking for smaller Fuel consumption then turn ON.
    SAI (SAS) - Disable this device if you don't have Stock exhaust with catalyzer inside. This device pumps air in exhaust to cold catalyzer.

    John Mardesich On my bike o2 sensor is disabled (turned off). I have noticed bike is much more easy to ride, no big engine braking when i let throttle off. And no stalling problem all is ok.

    Hi! Thank you for sharing this information. Can you help me please? I have KTM 990 SMT with a bad Immobilizer. I cant find a new immobilizer, but there's available lockset with immobilizer which is very expensive. How can i by pass immobilizer? Will it work? Thank you

    Maps including the maps you did also use?
    I mean i got a stock one DUke 3 2009, TuneEco has a map that is better from the stock one?

      +JerronHonda you need have custom maps, tuneecu is only software to transfer maps to bike

    Great video. On the Tuneecu website there is a EFI and an EPT map (2013 KTM 690 SMC R). What is the difference or are both required to be installed?

      Hello.
      As far as I know there are only EU and US maps. I think EVO 1 will work best for you, and i suggest you to visit ADV Forum www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?s=a2884c5305af51edc346449bab08c508&t=685657

      @@joonabremer9267 still waiting and looking around for an answer... seems like private labeling/packaging is the only way out of this problem. But the profit margins should be atleast 30% otherwise this method is way too expensive.. kind of stuck at this moment because of this problem. I don’t want to start dropshipping and lose out customers after the first purchase because of ugly packaging full of chinese letters

    My dear friend very good video!
    I have the 690 enduro 2008 model with only acrapovich end exhaust and stock pipes. and K&N air filter. I have not removed the plastic pipe on the top of the air box that is on the air filter. Should I remove it?
    I lso like to ask you on minute 3:25 seconds on the video , after the f.i.map open, Why do you deselect the SAI and O2 sensor boxes? what they are for?

      Yes remove air filer cover and put evo 1 filter cover or make few holes in stock one.
      SAI (SAS) Secondary Air System, will pump air in your exhaust to cold catalyst (on stock exhaust), most custom exhaust dont use this so you dont need anymore SAI (SAS) turned on, and O2 sensor is for fuel/air mixture and it will lean your mixture so its better to turn off your bike will run better.

      You need turn off SAI, but turn off/on O2 is what you more like.. For me when o2 is turned off i don't get that engine braking when i let throttle so i like to Turn Off o2 and i have noticed in city i dont need more radiator fan when o2 is off.

    Are you good with ktm? I have a problem with my 690 i bought. its from 2012 and the pre-owner states it have EVO 1 map on it. It have EVO 1 airbox with foam filter and LeVince Slipon.
    The bike runs really bad without the DB killer. it dies on idle, pops and bangs on lower revs and runs rough on low speed with twitchy response on the gas.
    When i put the DB killer in the slipon the bike runs great with good idle and not twitchy. What can be the problem? is the back pressure to low? is the mapping wrong? I want to be able to run without DB killer but i cant do it at the moment. I have changed spark plug and the coil (the tip was gray/white) I have changed fuel filter, Inline fuel filter, fuel pump. the next thing muste be the mapping?

      I had the same problem, with the db killer the engine runs much nicer and doesn't shut down. It is necessary to add more fuel to the mapping. Everything is explained in the video.

      If your bike is full stock, then you need use maps for stock exhaust. That is all what you need to do if you have now "Restricted power maps". Just connect your bike with TuneECU and see what maps you have now.

    I should also add that that the engine isn't running good. When I releas the gas to shift gear the engine dies. Can I get rid of this problem with a new mapp?

      Yes you can Fix stalling problem with new maps, have you any mods on bike like custom exhaust or air filter.

      Philip Vestman If you use stock maps with custom exhaust what has more air flow then you will have problem with bike. You need map with more fuel. All maps can be found on TuneEcu site

      You cant use "any" maps for your bike, it must be correct maps or you can damage engine. First connect your bike and read maps then you will know what maps you have now ( stock or Restricted power).

    i have the same problem that iArthas1and same bike : ktm duke 690 2014 restricted A2. i have try to search on tuneecu website but it's say "not compatible for duke 4 models". have you maybe an other solution for turned bike to full power ? (44ph to 70) or have you news for make this with tune ecu ? please

      Download stock maps from bike and you can try to modify in tuneecu to unlock all power.
      FI map should be same in "stock" and in "Restricted power map". But EP map is different. Full Power map has 100% on end and restricted has only about 35% maximum.
      I suggest you to leave Restricted on Standard setting, and make Full Power on Performance, so you can switch to full power and back to restricted with one turn under your seat.

      yeah, I don't have DB killer in that. is that the problem actually.I cantt find the map switch under the seat. after installing a DB do i deen to adjust TPS voltage for factory.( 0.50-0.54V)

      That is bad info, but i think there will be some "way" to modify bike map

      You CAN modify the data in another way. there are two nearly simmilar ways to do this.
      With a litte "Black-Box" called "Kastl" from an Austrian Enthusiast, or the PCV.
      Look for both at Google

      Evo1 map is for exhaust only, and evo 2 maps are for for EVO 2 kit.

      Some diagnostic cables are not good, if you have connector on your bike it must work just get great quality cables,

      First you need read maps from your bike to see what you have, because i cant find 2014 maps. Maybe older maps will also work with your bike, but i cant guarantee that, if have time visit your local ktm dealer or make phone call.

      all is possible but dont play with that it to much dangerous. If you want to tune your bike much more than remap get power commander and quick shifter. But i think best mod for this bike is exhaust + open air filter cover + remap all other is to much money.

    Why SAI is off

      SAI (Secondary air injection) is needed when you have stock exhaust with catalyzer. But leovince is open exhaust without catalyzer so you dont need SAS (SAI) turned on, just turn off and all will be ok.

      No i haven't removed SAS, i use evo1 filter cover and evo 1 map for leovince.You can use evo 2 package with leovince, but if you have money i suggest you to get akrapovic :)

      Sorry but i don't know, 2014 models are locked. You need check your ktm dealer.

      AFF Racing Team - Damir they sell Programmable Racing ECU for KTM DUKE 200 in India but mucho dinero $$$, there must be a way to map the ECU with a wire like this dude. KTM dealers here in Turkey are idiots, I know more about my bike than my dealer...

      Yiğit Özceyhan I think ecu original from ktm 2014 is protected so you can edit maps.
