I would like to ask for guidance on a query relevant to the spinning section. Suppose we are designing a spin plan for 20s Ne count ring spun yarn and we have calculated the number of machines along with the production for each department (blowroom, carding, drawing, simplex, ring, autocone) of the yarn manufacturing unit. How will we design the following for each concerned department; 1. How much draft (both back draft and front draft) shall we need to have in each department i.e. Ring, Simplex, Drawframe to get the 20s Ne count? 2. How much twist should we have in each concerned department (Ring, Simplex) to get the desired fineness in the final yarn? In production spin plan calculation we keep track of waste and production for each department and relate it to the previous department. In the same way we shall also have the calculations for draft and twist to get the desired yarn at the end. Thank you
Aoa, thank you for these series of videos.. I wanted to ask as you have mentioned that Yarn Count is used for 100% cotton and Poly/Cotton and Denier is the term used for 100% Polyester. What about Rib? Fleece? Terry? could you please let me know the terms used for different materials? Also how can we calculate Yarn Count/Denier against GSM? As a retailer seller reseller the people I buy products from they never know about yarn count so if they let me know about GSM how can I know about the yarn count/denier?
