- World of Warcraft - The War Within is launching soon! I've been away from the game for quite awhile and am excited to get back into it. There is new challenging, solo-able world content in the form of Delves. I will be exploring this new content on my Protection Warrior in the beta and once the game goes live.

You can actually right click the buff to drop the totem and candle that way you can move around in the radius without wasting its power

The recharges respawn in previous rooms in rank 3 at least. So you can backtrack to refresh the buff as much as you need.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one anoyed by that dino and the monkey. They get constantly in the way when I want to pickup stuff and pull stuff on a regular basis.
Yeah that monkey is nuts!
the stuns you have for your warrior i believe would save you the yo-yo health if you save them for the 1.6m fire ball or on of the feeing mobs if it gets out and pulls you die but the base attacks and unkickable don't appear to be a high threat for you. but not having a kick or CC available for fireball or another mob pull ends your run. really excellent walk through you were well spoken on all of the areas in your video and thank you for sharing.

When you have ran out, don't pick the next up immediately because then it starts ticking. Instead just stand within it's range and fight nearby mobs, then pick it up and let timer start. Easy way to buy time in all these mechanics.

Looks interesting, can't wait to see how far i can get solo. U did a good job, take ur time and be methodical. I'm sure being a prot tank helped with incoming damage.... i imagine hybrid dps that can heal will prob do okay also... I wonder if healers could do it as healer spec, if they got lower dps it might take longer but still possible. Tho it makes me think if there are dps checks or "kill X tower" fast or something.
Thanks for watching! Once I hit level 80 and the higher tiers are unlocked on live I’m gonna attempt to complete all of the delves on their hardest difficulties. Should be a fun challenge.
Even when the totem runs out, you can pick it back up wherever it spawned
Don't think they reappear behind you in 9-11. But dropping the totem is the way to play these delves for sure.
i dont know if it was different in the beta, or just on higher levels, but when i did this, i just dropped the totem but right clicking the buff it gives, and then you can fight in the circle with out it draining from you moving around, i havent watched the video to the end just yet, so my bad if you mention it later on :D
it was acting buggy for me. it would disappear if i dropped it, then sometimes it would work
@@WraithRPGthats why I wait until everythings almost perfectly, and I never Played wow to the fullest, means I Play all Expansion in Order to get the hang on it.
Tanks that can heal more seems OP to do Delves even 20-30 required ilvl above them, don't you think ? :P

Just a tip for Prot war in general -you almost never want to press revenge unless you have NOTHING better to press and a free global. And don’t take this from me it’s from one of the the top M+ prot players in NA -thunderclap and shield slam are too high prio for globals in TWW
This isn’t for the streamer really - it’s more so for viewers cuz he doesn’t hit it very often
I love dumping rage into revenge when I know I don't need more mitigation. If you take key revenge talents, it does a mountain of damage. Those rules are more for High tier raid and high Mythic Plus runs.

This is really cool I'm hyped to do content this hard, sadly There will allways be people with max raid gear doing these hard challenges easily because they will get gear no one else has access to but I want the challenge for myself to beat the Tier 11 delves and gear only with delves.
yeah! At least we are getting Heroic Tier ilvl gear from T8 Delves. Makes it a bit more fun to be a solo player
i mean its solo content it shouldnt bother you if the heroic and mythic raiders are geting gear you are getting the exact same tier from delves
This is great, everyone knows the best part of a mmorpg is the solo content.
I think an overwhelming majority of the WoW player base does enjoy the game mostly solo.
Looks like the totem gives you the effect if you just stand in the area, even before you pick it up. IF thats true you can try to fight in the area at each new totem as long as possible before you actually pic it up...IMO?

I was looking forward to delves, but now I’m really excited to do them. I play a rogue and thinking through strategy to CC enemies and take it methodically remind me of back when I first started playing. Rogues could hardly ever pull more than one mob at a time. You had to really think through what you were doing, even while questing.
I agree! I’ve seen a lot of hate being thrown at this new content for “casuals” but I think it will be challenging and interesting to complete at the highest tiers.
@@WraithRPG I know right? Casual and "semi-casual" players still won't be getting the achievements or mythic exclusive tier pieces. Letting people be able to gear up and progress for themselves seems like a great idea. So they may have an inflated ilvl, it doesn't mean they can automatically clear content.
I think if the solution is 'do it as a tank' , then answer to the question in the title is 'too' .
And the problem they then have is if they make it tough but doable for any spec, tanks will steamroll it.
@@RatelRegalement so far, tank damage feels significantly lower than it has been for awhile. I always play prot warrior though no matter what type of content I’m doing. Just my preference. I’m not sure how the dps classes will fare in these super high tiers.
@@WraithRPG well, when a Tank, the specc all about survivability (and thats what delfes test) says he get hit hard, then these high tier delfes are impossible for most dps classes or they need ass long time, pulling one by one, cc and the tinyest mistake cost them lives. So if you need longer time than the typicall M+, have a higher chance to fail and get lower rewards then delfes are not worth it.
@@marcpaulus6291 There are no upgrade rewards beyond T8, which i'm sure everyone can do. T9,10,11 are just for a challenge and achievements

@@WraithRPG the problem than is still the same, if you cannot do it yourself alone as a dps or heal because too much time taking or other problem you will have to take a help from other player most likely a tank help, while the delves's original purpose was you do it yourself alone dont need to wait others for join when you have limited or/and "time windows" when you can play, and on the other hand it will force you if you wanna take that achievement to play other role what prefer playing, if things so so much easier on tank roles than a normal dps role it will be a problem for a LOT of people, maybe a pet dps class like BM Hunter or demo lock dont have too much issues because they have a constant pocket tank, but others like priests, mages, other casters or melee dps will have hard times for completing delves in this difficulty for solo content.
I was able to solo as assassination rogue, wasn’t able to as any other spec.

Don't underestimate an extra 10 or 20 item levels.

Do you recommend doing this as a tank if you have the option?
I've mostly tested as a tank. I'd say up to tier 7 or 8, you can do pretty much anything. Beyond that I think tanks will be a decent choice for doing the high tiers.
What are the damage numbers you are using please, I really like them.

I think healers may have a hard time. But I haven’t tested that. DPS for sure.

An addon called narcissus zooms the quests

what are some best brann talent i should choose?
Just as a general setup, I like Porcelain Arrowhead on Combat Curio and Amorphous Relic on Utility Curio. I run Brann as damage on low tiers but I'll probably make him a healer and choose more healing focused powers for higher tiers when the season starts.
It seems a Hunter would do well in these things... Run past, feign death.
a lot of the objectives require you to kill mobs, but yeah in general pet classes should do well.
23:30 you never played a rogue? Above the mob that symbol means it can look through stealth.
Yea you deifitely could have invised past those mobs when the big guy with stealth detection walked to the back. Great work though.

My experience on the beta at least, there are mechanics that one shot you and dmg is greatly increased on the high tiers.
What addon/wa are you using that shows the icon plus damage in that bouncing style?

Do you have to do delves at lower levels before higher ones? For example if I did one delve at 5. Could I then do one I’ve never done before at 6?
yes. thats how it works. each tier has to be unlocked, but they unlock for all delves

Specifically on T11?
You should be able to CC and pull one mob at a time. Using Brann as heals, you can strategically run over his potions to keep you alive on the boss fight during the AoE damage phase.
I did this run on the beta and was way under geared.
If you are over 610 you should be able to do it with a cautious strategy.
Way over-tuned. Imagine getting hit by those as a DPS
As a mage, I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'm not gonna be able to solo higher delve tiers like a tank or BM hunter would be able to; squishy dps has never been good at soloing things.
I'd at least give it a try before resigning!

NamePlateSCT with Blizzard's standard large Bars. The Quest addon is Narcissus. Its amazing!

@@kibawave4300 Problem is that they can't balance this, tanks will always be the way to do delves if you see how much dmg everything does, if you don't play a tank you will just get oneshot on this difficulty.

what setup do you use on ban? feels like he is completly useless tbh
On these super high tiers I set him to heals and take his cheat death abilities. In the low levels I just make him damage and take movement speed or buff abilities. He does occasionally interrupt and fear, but yeah it’s an AI companion, so not the best.
@@WraithRPG yeah tried running him as both healer and dps, as healer he does well, lets face it he does not heal shit, and dps kinda the same, imo brann needs a what 50-100% buff becaus he is so useless he might not even be there 😅😂 if i use one health potion through a full that alone is basicly 2-5 times as much as he heals
if a prot warrior is struggling and getting hit hard in here what are mages and rogues supposed to do ._.
I like mage tower-like challenges as much as the next gal, did all 36, twice, but everything about high delves/the solo challenge thing seem impregnable
We'll see what the actual difficulty is on live. It may be a scenario where we have to play in groups, but I hope with practice, we'll be able to solo all of this content.
The thing that bothers me is that instead of adding fun mechanics that allows skilled players to progress further early on they instead just made autoattacks and spammed casts chunk you for half your hp at higher tiers which is just uninspired and lazy.
I think Delves are fun and do have fun/challenging mechanics. I don't think they are lazy design at all. Sometimes things are balanced perfectly and that can be frustrating but overall, I think Delves are some of the best content available for a solo player like myself.
So its hard but not stupidly hard, Like mage tower.
I don't think I've played mage tower. But T9-11 are pretty tough but maybe we'll out gear it at some point.

I mean 70k isn’t too bad for a new channel. I think analytics show that getting videos out ahead of game content yields more views.

@@WraithRPG This was always like this. Horrific visions got nerfed back in bfa after some time, torghast nerfed many times if u remember back in shadowlands even way back Mage Tower during legion . Blizzard adds new features and make them overtuned they slowly nerf them
@@mokrahn3604 well, I look forward to beating the highest tiers before it gets nerfed if I can. I remember getting my Black Harvest green fire before the nerf on my warlock and that was a lot of fun.
There’s no need to nerf anything if they just TimeGate it and literally don’t allow you to do it until a certain time period. Classic blizzard.
Delvs are great, but there should be a timer...
That could be a way to increase their difficulty beyond T11.
