In the film, Gloria is impersonated by America Ferrera, whose power and craft I admire with all my being.
Why do I do this?
During the final round auditions for BA Acting at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, I lacked English skills and had a very strong Polish accent. Even though most thought there’s no chance I’d get in, somehow I was given a chance to train.
Now, after graduating, I’ve opened the collection of the characters I always wanted to play - ones that drive me, inspire my creativity, deeply move and enrich me.
I don’t want to let my background, age or gender keep them locked or make me give them up. So instead, I actively pursue them and go beyond the boundaries of what’s possible.
The reels that you can see here not only serve as a tool to connect with the industry professionals whose work I admire. They also keep me creative, playful, and in the process of building my craft.
