I knew this was a Lindsay Adler video as soon as I saw the thumbnail. Instant click. ❤
Awesome. I like the Slice of Light.
The one with the slice of light🤟
Loved the slice of light better
Thank you Lindsey and Westcott for the amazing tutorials and products!!! ✨✨🥳🎉
Glad you enjoy them!
You are so welcome!
Love these photos. My favorite is just with the triangle and using a gel to fill. Love the different Gobo patterns available. I just got the optical spot so can't wait to play with it next week.
Lindsay, thank you 💕
I love this. I like that slice of light. I need to use a snoot
Excellent Lindsay, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I feel like having 2 of these is a must.
Enjoyed the break down
Fabulous Creation love your videos 🤟
Love the GOBO!
The slice of light is like something you'd see in Vogue and the other is like something you'd see in Vanity Fair
Liked the slice of light slightly more, but both were outstanding.
Thank you!
Thanks for being clear and concise in your tutorial. The scenes are amazing and I really enjoy your work.
Glad you like them!
You are always so inspiring, @lindsayadlerphoto - I personally like the slice of light.
The slice is my favourite... It would be interesting to see the combination of both. I would love this optical spot!
Yes! All about the combo!
@@lindsayadlerphoto Hey Lindsay, do you have any tips on working with continuous lighting, overpowering ambient light AND not blinding the model? Can it be done or is this where a strobe with modeling flash prevails?
@@mtcrun you are in luck. I have videos coming out on Adorama and the April episode of my monthly membership is this theme!
@@lindsayadlerphoto Sweet! Thank you!
Lindsay, I would love to work for you for a week. Absolutely amazing eye. Thanks for sharing.
I loved the Victorian gobo the best.
Good choice!
Hi Lindsey. Hope all is well. I don't think there is a difference but would using 1x3 strips make any difference in that setup? Love the slice. Seems more edgy
For these it should be pretty much the same. Totally fine to use either
The slice of light was a little better to me. Both shots are very magical though!
which lights are those ?
great review.
- does it work only with continuous light ? I mean that a flash would damp the light of the gobo
- doesn't it hurt eyes to look the optical spot as the woman does in that video ?
- i have read that with the default 135mm we need a very long studio i don't have. In this video you are very close, but the circle ... is very narrow, not acircle around the body...
I prefer the slice of light
An accurate, easy and classy explanation from a wonderful artist
Aww thank you!
hi. I was wondering if the spotlight is focusable so that the gobo'ed light is softer?
Yes! The lens on the spotlight is focusable so you can soften or sharpen your gobos.
LA is ❤
I'm so close to pulling the trigger on 2 FJ400's. The one thing thats preventing me is the eco system. Is Westcott planning to add more lights to the FJ series soon? FJ400 has been out for about 3 years now and a 400W being the most powerful option is a bit worrying (and limiting).
