RCA stillede betingelse af S Rose skulle tage til vietnam og spille for usa soldaterne på deres baser..
den form for aftale var helt uspiselig for gruppen- og Srose tjente senere ikke så mange penge-

Holy shit, This is something else. I found out about this band from Ritchie Unterberg's book.
I love the Savage Rose. They described Annisette's vocals back then as sounding like Minnie Mouse on belladonna. She sounds totally original, like no other singer. They were the biggest rock band at the time in Scandanavia.
No other singer.. other than eastern psych rock singers at the time.. who I also think sound great!

Absolutely amazing band......wish I could have gotten to see the original band live. Anisette's voice is a truly potent instrument. Did they ever play in the UK? Does anyone know the story behind the version of "A girl I knew" that appears on the UK compilation "Supergroups "? It is different to the '45 and album versions and I've never been able to locate it anywhere else.
They did play the UK and US. But declined playing for US troops in Vietnam.
As far as the other version of AvGirl I Knew, you sure it's by The Savage Rose?
Quite sure.....there's no mistaking Anisette's voice.

It doesn't seem to be uploaded on youtube. If I knew how to upload from vinyl I'd do it myself. I'ii dig out my copies of '45, album and the comp track and do my best to give a blow by blow account for you. Be patient.

The simple fact is that i know more than you. Especially when it comes to music. As do i when it comes to history, geography and the world we currently live in. Not because i'm smarter than everyone else. But because the average European are so much better than even the best of Americans.
Besides Savage Rose, Denmark have a few really good bands in more than one category of music. Kira Skov, D-A-D, Kim Larsen, Agnes Obel, and the list goes on and on. We are not impressed with your dead Elvis or the overindulged Aerosmith. Rock and roll are at its best when it comes from England. You know, the country that speaks real English and not the American version that's full of errors and mind-numbingly stupid alterations.
We are your overlords. Learn to live with it and have a better life.
